Chapter 16

The next morning, Donghae woke up early, but he found Hyukjae fast asleep next to him. He couldn’t help but notice how cute and beautiful he looks when he is sleeping. He sneaked out of the bed slowly, careful as to not wake up Hyukjae, and then ran to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

When he came back to the room Hyukjae was still sleeping, he put a piece of toast under his nose until the other one opened his eyes. He smiled so widely, showing all of his gums, Donghae couldn’t help but say, “Hyukjae… you are so cute!” and he bent over and kissed him on the lips.

This time he realised what he had done and he opened his eyes, expecting a bad reaction, until Hyukjae kissed him on the lips as well, just a small peck, but equally as sweet as Donghae’s. Donghae had a big smile and they ate breakfast together in bed, feeding each other, mostly Donghae feeding Hyukjae because of his arm.

Afterwards, Donghae gave Hyukjae a few pain killers and they cuddled in bed, falling asleep almost immediately.

They slept for a few more hours, but they woke up when Hyukjae needed help going to the toilet. Donghae picked up him bridal style, making Hyukjae very shy, but he still didn’t resist looking at Donghae’s face close up. It was something he would never get used to, being so close to such a perfect creature.

Donghae left him in the entry of the bathroom, but Hyukjae kissed him on the cheek just before Donghae left. Without noticing, Donghae and Hyukjae were getting closer and closer by the minute. They never seemed to ask for anything, but both of them would know what the other needed. When Hyukjae was in pain, Donghae would go get the pain killers without him asking for them. When Hyukjae was away, even if he was just in the toilet, Donghae would do as much as he could to help around the house to not make the other one feel like he is a burden.  

Donghae managed to tidy up the room, change the bedding, pick up the dishes and take them to the kitchen, before he noticed that they had ran out of food. When Hyukjae came out of the toilet, he told him, “I am afraid I am going to have to go out to buy some food.”

He could see the disappointment in the other’s face, especially in the eyes.  Hyukjae said in a very soft voice, “We can always do the shopping on the internet and they can deliver to our house…” What got Donghae wasn’t the shopping, or the delivery, but the words ‘our house’. He started smiling, and he went closer to the other, put him on the bed and he said, “You are a very spoilt baby.”

Hyukjae proudly said, “Yes I am!”

Donghae said, “I will have to spoil you then, you shameless baby!”

Hyukjae didn’t want to let go of Donghae’s neck with the arm that wasn’t broken, and Donghae was laughing saying, “I need my head to order the food on the internet!”

Hyukjae’s face was red, but he still stated, “But this head belongs to me! And I don’t want this head to go anyway! And I may say… I don’t mind the body either!”

Donghae started to laugh again, “Are you yearning for my body? y baby?”

Hyukjae laughed and asked, “Who doesn’t? Didn’t you see the man at the supermarket when you dropped your change? When you bent down, the guy behind you pushed the trolley straight into the pile of toilet paper! And you didn’t even notice!”

Donghae was laughing with him now, and he said, “Poor thing! If I had saw it, I would have helped him!”

Hyukjae added, “When I passed beside him, I actually kicked one of the toilet rolls on his head… for looking at my baby’s tushie…”

Still not letting go of Donghae’s head, Donghae decided to go for the first form of defence which was attack, by letting gravity get him and he fell flat on Hyukjae.

Hyukjae let out a grunt and let go of Donghae in response to the sudden heavy weight. Donghae took the chance to escape, not before laughing at Hyukjae’s death like state.

After a week of spoiling Hyukjae, Donghae received a phone call from a company for a modelling agency. They offered a job to Donghae, but he was not sure about it, but he decided to go for the interview. He asked Hyukjae what he thought about the offer, and he did not look happy.

He said he did not like they guy who was in charge of the agency, “He is a flirt and he always goes out with the models, both boys and girls! So I don’t like him!” He pouted, looking at Donghae with displeasure.

Donghae made fun of him for a while by insinuating Hyukjae was jealous. Hyukjae tried to deny it, but it was just too obvious! Hyukjae started to get grumpy and tried to storm out of the kitchen but Donghae grabbed his good hand and spun him around, a bright smile on his face as he tried to control his laughter. Hyukjae glared at Donghae, and Donghae couldn’t help but chuckle.

In the end, Donghae just hugged Hyukjae and said sweetly, “I’m sorry for teasing you baby~” Hyukjae just grunted, but was enjoying the warmth of Donghae’s arm and secretly forgave him immediately.

Donghae pulled away and kissed Hyukjae on the lips, but this time it was a little bit longer than usual. When he broke the kiss, Hyukjae’s breath was coming out in shorter gasps, his cheeks a rosy hue, making him look irresistible. Donghae looked at Hyukjae’s plump red lips, and he couldn’t help but pull Hyukjae closer to him. The force of the pull made their bodies collide in the middle, making Hyukjae gasp. Without thinking, Donghae slipped his tongue in Hyukjae’s mouth and started to taste the forbidden cave of sweetness. Hyukjae’s body was frozen, his mind a haze as he tried to catch up with moment.

Donghae pressed Hyukjae’s limp body against the counter to keep him up, making Hyukjae shiver as he felt Donghae’s perfect body against his own.

Hyukjae was overwhelmed by his want and need for the other that his brain just switched off and his hormones guided him. With his good hand, he grabbed a fistful of Donghae’s hair and pulled his head to the side to deepen the kiss. Hyukjae’s tongue danced and fought with Donghae’s tongue, whilst his hand was roughly grabbing at his hair, keeping his head in place, and Donghae’s hands were firmly holding Hyukjae’s hips as he pressed their crotches together.

Both of their bodies were on fire, only gasps and moans left their sinful mouths, neither of them having any intention to stop any time soon.

But suddenly, Donghae pushed himself away from Hyukjae and said, “Baby we need to stop… now… or I will not be able to stop myself again…” Hyukjae was still in daze and tried to reach for Donghae again, his eyes needy and passionate. Donghae’s eyes were wild, looking at Hyukjae with full of want, but he just grabbed Hyukjae’s hand and pressed it against his thin lips. He kissed the soft skin of Hyukjae’s palm, trying to calm his racing heart.

Donghae then held Hyukjae’s hand on his own cheek and looked at Hyukjae in the eyes, “Please… I need to this right… we are not official yet… and you are poorly… we haven’t even been on a date… I have not asked you out properly yet… please.”

Hyukjae’s heart was close to breaking in his ribs, mostly because of the intensity of the moment.

First date?

Asking him out?

Life was just too much at the moment.

He felt dizzy, he felt light headed, he felt weak…

The last thing he remembers was Donghae calling out his name before everything went dark.
