Flustered
Stuck With The BoysLater that night, Jungkook sat in the living room with his notebook in his lap. He was trying to practice his Japanese, but he felt like his accent really came through whenever he spoke. He also wanted to memorize a few words. It was the early hours in the morning and no one had been awake but him, or at least he thought.
Footsteps pattered down the tiny hallway a distance away from the couch. Jungkook dimmed the light beside him, figuring that it was Yoongi coming in to tell him that the light was too bright. He was sensitive to that stuff, even if he did sleep down the hall. He curled up a bit onto the couch as the shadowy figure made its way to the end of the hall.
"Jungkook?" Seulbi froze at the end of the hallway. They exchanged gazes before Jungkook turned away, looking down into his notebook despite his thoughts scattering afterwards. She stayed in her spot beside the beige wall, wearing a flowing grey top that had exposed just bit of her stomach with a pair of white and blue floral patterned shorts. He figured she got hot at night like Seokjin did. Jungkook's face began to burn.
"I thought you were asleep.." He said as Seulbi made her way to the kitchen. He tried his best to stifle the shaking of his left leg, typically what he did when he got thrown around by his own nerves. He felt himself begin to calm as she stepped into the kitchen, taking a deep breath of hot air into his lungs.
"I can't seem to fall asleep for some reason, but why are you up? I thought you'd be sleeping by now." She said, making her way back into the living area. Jungkook felt his chest burn as he held in his breath before silently releasing it. 'Quit acting like this.' He thought to himself, his left foot slowly beginning to tap again.
"Oh well I - You lived in Japan, right?" He asked, automatically wanting to smack himself for his messy, jumbled wording. Seulbi came a bit closer towards him, nodding and she folded her hands in front of torso. It wasn't until she came closer that he could see the honey colored twinkle in her eyes. They were memorizing, breathtaking - No, she was breathtaking. Her delicate frame, her sun-kissed glow, the way her dark chestnut colored hair flowed downward, the way she looked at him. Her captivating, angelic smile melted him as if he were a block of ice left under the sun.
Around Seulbi, Jungkook had lacked all of the confidence he thought he had. He had the ability to stand in front of millions of people, to talk to dozens of fans, yet he couldn't get a word out to his new roommate without jumbling everything together. Every time they had been caught in a room together since she had moved in, he felt tongue-tied, like he was being interrogated. Every time he heard her benevolent laugh, his heart stopped beating, his lungs
