Part 2 of double update!

“Hello Jihun-ah. You might not know me but I most certainly am familiar with you,” The lady at the door said with a chuckle laced into her words. “I’m Kim Hyemi, your aunt.”

Jihun stared at the lady and was reminded of his encounter with the woman at the café a week ago. It was the lady that gave him the chills for having a resemblance with his mother. Jihun, only now remembering his manners, kindly invited Mrs Kim into his humble home.

“Would you like some tea, or coffee ma’am?” Jihun politely offered the lady as she took her seat on the couch.

“It’s okay, Jihun-ah. I came here just to have a chat with you. And please, just call me Mrs Kim.” Said lady waved off Jihun’s offer and instead ushered him to take a seat in front of her.

She duly noted the presence of Seungjun and greeted him.

“Oh hello, Doctor Park. I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Haha, yeah I kind of invited myself over,” Seungjun said sheepishly as he gave a shy glance towards his lover. “Well Mrs Kim, I believe that I should excuse myself now to let you two talk.” Seungjun didn’t want to interrupt his lover when he was having a chat with his aunt. It was a family affair, and he knew better than to meddle himself in it. Seungjun left the house, but not before placing a kiss on Jihun’s forehead.

“I love you, Kimchi.”

“Love you too, Seungjunnie.”

“What brings you here today, Mrs Kim?” Jihun questioned as he followed the unsteady glance of his aunt’s eyes. To be honest, Jihun felt a little less awkward talking to the aunt that he has heard stories about, compared to a dad who he had just re-entered his life.

“Well, I’ve heard that you found out about me enlisting the help of Doctor Park. So, I came here to clear things up with you,” Mrs Kim smiled sweetly.

“Just like what I have told Seungjun before, I’ve been keeping tabs on you, Jihun-ah. I am aware of Soo Ae abusing you and I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything to help,” Mrs Kim lowered her gaze in guilt.

She took a deep breath before revealing the rest of her story, “When you were much younger, your grandfather didn’t want Soo Ae to keep you but it was too late for an abortion. And we all know about how your father left during the pregnancy,” Mrs Kim said as she rolled her eyes.

Huh…? But dad said that grandfather was against the abortion, and he didn’t leave…he wouldn’t lie to me, …would he?
