As Taemin started to come around he heard the beeping first, then the squeak of shoes on linoleum and various voices started to register.  He opened his eyes blinking against the harsh artificial light.  

“Ah.  So how are we feeling?”  

Taemin looked to his left and noticed the doctor standing there, his attention focused on a tablet in his hand.  

“Wait..who…what happened?”  

The doctor smiled and set the tablet down taking a seat next to him.  “Well I’m Dr.  Lee and my colleague Dr. Choi was stitching your friend up, do you remember that?” 

Taemin nodded.  

Dr.  Lee continued.  “Good.  Well then you fainted…straight into my arms.  You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”  The doctor laughed at his own cheekiness. 

Taemin blinked a few times not sure how to respond.  “Jongin?”  

“He’s fine, he’s actually out in the waiting area.”

The more he watched the handsome doctor the more he felt humiliated.  Dr.  Lee who had picked his tablet back up started asking him a few questions.  “Are you feeling any nausea?  Dizziness?  Blurred vision?”

Taemin said no to everything before he muttered an apology.  “I’m actually very embarrassed right now.  I guess I never really thought the sight of blood would get to me.”

“Oh it’s quite alright Taemin.”  He chuckled a little.  “Lucky for you I was there to catch you or it might have been a lot more serious.”

Taemin blushed as Dr. Lee offered him another warm smile.  “How about you make it up to me and take me out to dinner?  You know for saving your life and nursing you back to health.”

Taemin’s eyes narrowed but he couldn’t stop the grin that was starting to form on his face.  “You hardly saved my life.”

“You could have been very hurt had I not been there.”  Dr.  Lee looked smug.

“I’ve been out for what?  A few minutes.”

“And I’ve been watching over you the whole time.”  

“Isn’t it morally unethical for you to hit on your patients?”  Taemin came back at him again.

Dr.  Lee looked pleased with himself.  “Technically you’re not my patient anymore.  I just submitted your discharge form.”
