Things You Said When You Were Crying.

Jaebum was really late.

It was normal Tuesday night, when Youngjae and Jaebum usually would be in bed or on the couch watching a movie. But Jaebum wasn’t home. And he hadn’t called once in almost 14 hours he’d been absent.

Just as Youngjae was about to pick up the phone and dial Jaebum’s number, Jaebum himself called Youngjae and told him to come to the hospital without giving any context, which worried the hell out of Youngjae and made him really anxious. In fact Youngjae was so anxious about what could’ve possibly happened that would cause Jaebum to be at a hospital that both his feet and his hands were ice cold and his heart was in his toes.

“Please be okay” Youngjae thought while driving to the hospital Jaebum told him to be.

When Youngjae arrived at the hospital, Jaebum was a mess, a crying loud mess. Youngjae didn’t exactly know why he was crying but judging by the fact that Jaebum was crying without a stop something very serious had happened, possible a death of someone close to Jaebum and Youngjae.

“Hyung” Youngjae said running to his husband and hugging him immediately. Youngjae had no clue of what exactly happened but he knew that Jaebum needed him the most right now, which was why without asking any question, without trying to figure out the situation, Youngjae ran to Jaebum to hold him in his arms.

“Youngjae, why” Jaebum was glued to Youngjae’s chest and was whimpering without a stop.

“Hyung, everything’s going to be okay, hyung, its okay, cry as much as you want” Youngjae brought his gentle fingers to Jaebum’s messy hair and his hair, trying to calm him down. Youngjae didn’t want to stop Jaebum from crying, he didn’t want him to suppress all of his emotions. Youngjae was ready to stand there holding his grieving husband for hours and hours, only if it meant Jaebum being more or less okay after that.

Jaebum was still crying but Youngjae wasn’t tired at all. And he didn’t give a single about his shirt being completely soaked from Jaebum’s tears. All that mattered to Youngjae was Jaebum’s mental well being and him releasing all the tears that had been collecting inside Jaebum ever since the first day they met.

As far as Youngjae knew, Jaebum didn’t cry. Ever since they met Youngjae has never seen or heard Jaebum cry. Even Jaebum’s friends who have known Jaebum longer that Youngjae have admitted that they’ve never seen Jaebum shed a single tear either.

“Hyung, it’s okay” Youngjae softly whispered from time to time to his weeping hyung.

“Thank you, Youngjae” Jaebum whispered back through his tears. Jaebum was truly thankful for Youngjae; he was thankful for him being at the hospital at midnight on a weekday, when he had school the next day; Jaebum was thankful for him not asking any unimportant questions.

“You really understand me and love me” Jaebum said with his head on Youngjae’s shoulders.

“I love you” Jaebum whispered, dropping his last tear before standing up straight and going back to his normal tearless self again.
