Things You Said Through Your Teeth.

Youngjae and Jaebum were in the living room; both were sat on the couch and were watching TV. Jaebum was sitting up while Youngjae was lying down with his feet on Jaebum’s lap – one of their favorite positions to have a relaxing night in.

“By the way hyung, you know the mental health care center I’m interning in?” Youngjae said, suddenly reminded of a favor one of his elderly co-workers asked Youngjae.

“Sure” Jaebum replied quietly.

“Well, it’s having a sports festival thing this Sunday, and technically interns have a choice of either participating or not, but one of my sunbaes asked me to take a part in the event instead of him since it’s Sunday and he has to go to church, plus he’s pretty old” Youngjae explained, looking at Jaebum, who was almost asleep.

“It’s this Sunday?” Jaebum asked.

“Yeah”

“And you want to participate?”

“Sure, why not? It sounds fun and also the festival required you to bring a date with you, so I’m guessing it’ll be a good date place” Youngjae smiled, which made Jaebum smile as well.

“Sure then, we should go. Who knows? What if we win something?” Jaebum agreed, falling asleep and dreaming of a cute date with his husband.

“Jaebum hyung, wake up. We need to go. The event starts in an hour” Youngjae gently shook Jaebum awake. Youngjae was dressed up and ready to do.

“Wait, are you dressed up already?” Jaebum couldn’t believe that the guy who always has to have someone beside him to wake him up was awake and standing beside him with the cutest smile ever. From Youngjae’s glowing eyes and eternal smile anyone could tell that he was excited.

Any type of sporting events usually didn’t excite Youngjae. And frankly, he kind of hated any type of physical activity, besides playing football. But this one small festival that he was going with Jaebum by his side for some reason made him so anxiously happy.

“Yeah! And you should also get up and shower quickly and put on your clothes so we can go and win all the trophies!” Youngjae squeaked out excitement, which made Jaebum love his cute little husband even more.

“Come here” Jaebum said, getting up and wrapping his arms around Youngjae.

“Why are you so cute and precious, Youngjae-ah” Jaebum said and kissed Youngjae’s soft lips, which excited both of them furthermore.

An hour and thirty minutes later, Youngjae and Jaebum were standing out in the sun, ready to participate in a running match with 7 other couples. As far as Jaebum knew, Youngjae and he were definitely going to win.

“Hyung, do you think we can win?” Youngjae asked, a bit nervous about the race that was going to happen in a few minutes.

“Of course” Jaebum was confident. But then again, anything he did, any competition he took part in, he was always confident in winning or succeeding.

The race started with a gunshot and Youngjae, as the first running in their small team of 2 people, ran as soon as he heard the ear splitting sound as fast as he could. Youngjae, running with all his might, finally ran the proportion he was supposed to run and handed the baton to Jaebum who proceeding to run as if a hundred angry german shepherds were after him.

Youngjae and Jaebum ended up losing the race by 3 milliseconds to two 20-year-olds who were obviously have just started dating.

Although Youngjae found it pretty cute that the new couple got to win on their possibly first date as a couple, Jaebum didn’t think so.

Jaebum was so mad about losing to someone who was obviously younger than him, that he didn’t even talk to Youngjae for almost an hour.

“C’mon, hyung, they were on a date! The guy had to win in order to impress the girl!” Youngjae said, walking quickly to keep up with angry Jaebum’s quick steps.

“We’re also on a date” Jaebum said with gritted teeth.

“But hyung, we’re married and I already know you’re the best even without you showing me your great athletic skills” Youngjae cooed, smiling.

“But” Jaebum started but stopped. He then stopped walking, which Youngjae was grateful for, as he was almost dying from running about a kilometer distance in the stupid race and then walking with his full speed trying to keep up with his childish husband.

“I guess you’re right” Jaebum admitted, but was still a bit heated about losing to a hoobae.

“I love you but I hate how you’re always right” Jaebum said through his teeth.

“I love you too” Youngjae laughed, putting his arms around his husband.
