Things You Said at 1AM.

Jaebum had quit his job and now were volunteering at an animal shelter for the time being. Besides his volunteer work Jaebum sometimes gathered up his friends from high school and sang covers at random bard and pubs just for the fun of it. In those nights, Youngjae quietly sat at the farthest possible seat from the stage and listened to his favorite person sing his heart out without a worry in the world.

“Hyung, can I come to the shelter and volunteer with you tomorrow?” Youngjae asked when Jaebum and he got home from a local bar where Jaebum has been regularly performing for a few weeks already.

“Aren’t you allergic to most animals?” Jaebum asked.

“I’m only allergic to their fur. If the animal doesn’t shed much then I’m fine” Youngjae replied, trying to convince his over protective husband to let him go to the shelter with him.

“I don’t think that’s such a good idea” Jaebum truthfully said, getting into their cold bed, already ready to sleep.

“But hyung, I want to see those cute animals, too” Youngjae started to whine.

“But if you do come and see them, you’re most likely to have itchy eyes, stuffy nose and maybe even worse, you could end up in a hospital, again” Jaebum reminded Youngjae the time he went against him and played with the random cat in the street and then was quickly delivered to an ER.

“But that was a long time ago! My allergies have gotten so much better” Youngjae continued to fight for his freedom to meet adorable animals against Jaebum.

“That was only a year ago” Jaebum commented.

“But hyung” Youngjae kept on trying to win over Jaebum and go to the shelter.

“Youngjae, you can’t, instead I’ll bring you lots and lots of pictures to look at” Jaebum promised but didn’t make Youngjae feel any better.

“But hyung please just let me come with you!”

“Youngjae, its 1AM, let’s go to sleep” Jaebum begged, grabbing Youngjae’s hands and physically pulling him to bed to lie down next to him.

“I really want to see the animals” Youngjae mumbled angrily, getting inside the covers with Jaebum and hugging him tightly just how they do every night.

“And I really want you to live longer” Jaebum said and kissed Youngjae.

“Because I love you so so much” Jaebum added kissing his husband more.
