Things You Said While We Were Driving.

Youngjae and Jaebum were on going on their honeymoon they never really got to have because of both of their busy schedules at the time. Jaebum was trying to build a company with a few of his college friends, which he kind of gave up a few months ago. And Youngjae was of course busy with annoying and depressing college life.

The two ‘not so new’ newlyweds were on their way to a quiet small cabin they rented for a whole month.

“Hyung I’m really excited” Youngjae beamed with joy. Youngjae was in the passenger seat while Jaebum was driving both of them to their destination with his eyes were fixed on the road ahead of him.

“I am too but I still don’t understand why we couldn’t just stay in our apartment. I mean that’s literally the same thing, isn’t it? We’re just going to be staying in a slightly different place” Jaebum admitted, eyes still only looking at the long and free road that would take them to their honeymoon destination.

“I mean we could’ve gone to places like Paris or Venice or Amsterdam. We could’ve even gone to Vatican like you always wanted” Jaebum reasoned.

“No, Vatican’s my dream destination for a solo vacation or a vacation with my best friend, not for a honeymoon. As for those typical honeymoon destinations like France or Italy, they’re like I said, typical and too expected. Instead, I want to enjoy this special part of our marriage with only the two of us in a quiet and nice place” Youngjae explained, going through his ‘honeymoon playlist’ he compiled yesterday while preparing for their trip.

“Put on something by Jill Scott” Jaebum ordered noticing his husband going through a list of songs.

“Sir, yes sir” Youngjae obeyed putting on one of his favorite songs by the famous R&B singer.

“Anyway, back to the topic. I still don’t understand difference between just staying at home for a months and staying at some expensive cabin for a month other than the huge amount of money spent for nothing” Jaebum said, jamming a little to his favorite song by one of his most favorite artists.

“I would get mad at you for being ignorant if Jill Scott wasn’t playing in the background right now, but since she is, and I really love this song, I’ll let it slide. Instead, I’ll just say this, you’re going to like it there I promise” Youngjae said, bobbing his head to the music.

“I can’t believe how many times Miss Scott saved my sorry from trouble” Jaebum said and laughed.

Youngjae smirked.

“When else did she save you?”

“I remember I was either in sophomore or junior year of high school and it was during our math exam that would basically decide our final grades. And my didn’t prepare for the exam because I thought I would know all the questions as I did pretty well that semester and understood almost everything. So of course I assumed I would ace that stupid exam. But I took one look at the damn sheet of paper and my mind went blank. I didn’t know a single thing. So I was sitting there contemplating life and suddenly ‘Hate on me’ like ing loud through the speakers. And teachers couldn’t find why the song was playing or who played it or even how to stop it, so all the exams and lessons were cancelled that day. Later we found out that apparently some dude who was getting kicked out for vandalism did that to cut some slack for us” Jaebum told, making Youngjae laugh hard.

“That’s how Jill Scott ended up being my favorite artist and ‘Hate on me’ my favorite song” Jaebum joked.

“Ah I love your weird stories” Youngjae said, still laughing because of Jaebum’s high school story.

“And I love you” Jaebum commented, looking at Youngjae.
