(SUMMER SEASON)

“Tell me again, why did we agree on a hiking trip at this kind of weather? And in my precious Wednesday of all days” Mo Yeon protested as she wipes her sweating face. It was her only free day of the week and she’s been looking forward for this day because it usually translates to peace, relaxation and sleep in her vocabulary.

“I was asking that question in my mind a thousand time already” Si Jin told her, holding out his hand for her to take as they crossed a particularly large rock. “The weather forecast totally got it wrong; they said that this day of the summer will be mostly humid.”

Ever since they got drunk last month, he’s been a constant presence in her life. He would often showed up unannounced at the hospital taking her out for lunch and just hanging out that people around her speculated them being an item which they constantly denies.

 “If you call humid scorching hot” She shot back at him with sarcasm. “What did I get myself into? Remind me to never let you plan again on any future outings”

 “Oho! We’re not yet even in the middle of this trip and you’re planning another one? Is this your way of saying you’re giving up” Si Jin asked cheekily with a challenging look in his eyes. He knows she’ll never back down from a challenge

“You wish” she counters pulling her hand from his grasps and leading the way.

“Me thinks you just want to spend more time with a handsome man” Si Jin joked and couldn’t help but checked her out, liking what he saw.

“Oh you just read my mind, can you tell me if you saw one so that I can make an appointment?” she smiling at his pout. “Hurry up, we need to go up faster, by the rate we’re going, we’ll be finished when the season change” 

“I’d be surprised if we actually finished this in whatever season” he told her eyeing the top of the mountain “Why does it seem like we’re not moving up?”

“Is this your way of saying you’re giving up?” She throws his words back at him cheekily.

(AUTUMN SEASON)

“Hey are you sure we’re on the right path?” Mo Yeon asked Si Jin as they are currently on their way on the camping destination she got from Dr. Song’s magazine.

“What? Why are you asking me? I was just following you’re directions” Si Jin pointed out; he was the appointed driver while she checks their map.

After they’re super-hot-hiking-trip, as she likes to call it, she had tried her hand on planning trips but it looks like they’re heading the same destination.

“Yah! I just translated what I saw on the map.” Mo Yeon said warily, “Who makes mistakes on reading the map anyway?”

“Apparently you” Si Jin teased, not really annoyed at her as he’s not looking forward on holding a fish. ‘Well that is if I would caught one’ he thought

“OH! Wait, Stop! Stop the car” she exclaimed, spotting a sign at the side.

The words we’re slightly washed out but still readable. What was written makes the two silent for a long while as they cursed their luck.

“Well, this looked like the end of our trips.” Si Jin rubs the side of his head as he assessed the situation and turns the car around. They’ve been driving for more than a few hours already and it was dark now.

“Do you think we could do it?” he asked stopping the car in front of a hotel.

She gulps and nodded, “It’s not like we’ve got a choice”

They we’re talking about the creepy looking hotel that they had made fun of when they first passed. The hotel looked like it came straight from a horror movie.

“I just wanted to tell you that you are one of the most important person in my life and that I would gladly die beside you” Si Jin said seriously, checking his phone and wallet. “I’d never thought I’d say this but I’m thankful that at least I’ve got to write my will first whenever we go on difficult missions unlike here, I didn’t even say goodbye to my father and friends”

“Stop being so dramatic, you’re the soldier here” Mo Yeon said while repeating a mantra on her mind, ‘I’m a doctor, I don’t believe things that science can’t explain’
