[CONTENTID2]Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound lasts a lifetime.[/CONTENTID2]

[CONTENTID3]   Luhan held the piece of paper as he looked at it blankly. The unique ZYX logo on top made it very obvious what company it was from. Yixing's company had officially terminated the contract he'd had with them -- it was too bad because he'd enjoyed helping them before. It was a good thing he had at least finished the layout of the coffee shop before this crazy idea of his kicked in.     "You work as an interior designer for Yixing's cafe before this. It was your first project -- a very big one too since the Zhang's are well known worldwide. Their only son, Yixing, is your friend." Mrs. Lu sat beside him and ruffled his hair, a broad smile on her thin lips.      Luhan could only nod when his mum spoke up about his 'past'. He did remember everything, after all -- the memories never faded away.      "You probably won't remember it now, but don't worry, Han. You will soon." His mum gently caressed his hand.     The doorbell rang and one of the maids hurried to the intercom asking who had come. Mrs. Lu stood up to look out of curiosity about who had come to see them so late, leaving her son alone in the living room. Who might be visiting at this hour?     "Luhan... Kai's here! He's a close friend of yours." At his mother's sudden exclamation, Luhan abruptly left the living room and bolted to his room upstairs, closing it with a loud bang and locking it.     He wasn't ready yet... The thought of meeting his friend face to face this soon never crossed his mind. The anger he felt towards Kai hadn't gone away yet -- he was human, after all. Who would've thought the answer Luhan had been seeking for so long right beside him? Out of all the person he trusted, his closest friend betrayed him.   Luhan crossed his arms and sat on the veranda, eyes darting to the darkening sky as the birds chirped on their way back home. How long had he been suffering? If he knew this was how his life was going to end up, he would stop his heart from falling for Oh Sehun.     "Luhan, please open the door. Kai is here to visit you..." The never-ending knocks on his door and his mother's calling left him in an uncomfortable state. Should he pretend to be asleep?    Mrs. Lu's soft pleading made his chest tight with guilt. But Kai was also standing on the other side of the door and having to meet with him wasn't very appealing. If he had acted without thinking, he would have yelled at Kai to go away.     But it was risky and he didn't want to rouse his mother's suspicion. With a heavy sigh and a slight stomp to his step, he opened the door, his eyes meeting Kai's unreadable ones. Was it guilt that I saw? You should feel guilty. Luhan thought, fighting back the urge to smirk with a cough.     "And who might you be?"     "I'm Kai... don't you recognise me, Lu?" Kai asked with a hopeful voice while Luhan mindlessly shook his head. "I'm here... to apologise to you, Luhan."      "To apologise? Why? Have you done something wrong to me?" Luhan couldn't help but internally smirk at Kai's solemn expression. Cat got your tongue, huh?      "Kai, I think it's better if you guys continue this downstairs."      "That sounds great, auntie." Kai gave her a weak grin, Luhan's question unanswered.     "Mum, I don't want any visitors... I don't feel comfortable talking to people I don't know." Luhan scratched his nape, his expression guiltless and relaxed.     "I'm sorry but I want to rest." Luhan continued with a sigh, stepping inside his room and locking it from any outsiders. He leaned against the door and brought his knees to his chest, shutting his eyes. He was beyond exhausted living like this.     After a while, the knocking returned, softer than before. "Can't he understand that I want to be alone?" Luhan sighed under his breath, his forehead creasing in upset. Kim Jongdumb should at least give him time to calm down after all he'd been through. It wasn't like Luhan wouldn't forgive him but he needed to be given time, given space for his heart to heal by itself.     When the knocking didn't sound like it'd stop, Luhan grunted and roughly pulled the door open -- only to be greeted by Sehun's gummy smile and crescent eyes. Luhan didn't smile back, although his face changed into a more relaxed expression.     Sehun was confusing him lately. Ever since Luhan got 'amnesia', Sehun's behaviour had changed 180° degrees. Gone was the temper that rose each time Luhan conflicted with him, a total contrast to his personality. Sometimes Luhan felt like he was going mad because he couldn't seem to get Sehun to leave him alone.     Sehun was still standing in front of his door, not moving an inch. As always, as long as Luhan didn't invite him in, he would stay standing there like a total idiot.     "Come in." Luhan pulled the door open wider, welcoming the taller inside. It had become a daily routine for Sehun to drop by his in-law's house to check on Luhan's condition. From his temperature to his blood pressure, his husband wouldn't miss a single place to check.     Sometimes it suffocated him but he couldn't fight against his parent's wishes. Whether he agreed with their decision or not, he still had to go through with it.     "Do you know the guy that visited you just now?" Sehun asked as he checked on his petite husband's blood pressure.     "No idea!" The doe-eyed answered curtly. "Mother said that guy's called Kai and he's my close friend." To his confusion, Sehun had suddenly begun to grin at his answer.     "It's good that you don't remember him," Sehun said, so softly that Luhan almost didn't hear, with the smile never leaving his lips.     Luhan narrowed his eyes, quietly studying the other's facial expression. He knew the meaning behind that smile. His curiosity of the thick tension between Kai and Sehun was now answered. The reason behind the fake smile and glares was now obvious - Kim Miyoung. Somehow that tiny smile made him uneasy.     "Is Kai really my friend? Am I really a close friend of his?" Luhan purposely asked, wanting to hear what Sehun would tell him.     Sehun halted his movements for a while, the cuff held in his hands before he continued putting back the equipment, lips pursed and eyes dark. Luhan sat there, innocently looking up to his husband as he waited for the answer, his doe-eyes wide with interest.     "I don't think you need to know much about him. He doesn't really have anything to do with your life, love."     "Makes me feel bad that I can't recognise him." Luhan fiddled with his fingers, still calmly putting up an act.     "You feel bad for not recognising him but when you're with me, your own husband, don't you feel anything at all?"      "That's why I don't believe that you're my husband," Luhan answered without hitch. Make Sehun know that you no longer like him, Luhan.      "Just rest, okay? I'll be back tomorrow morning with my clothes too. I think I'm gonna stay here in the meanwhile so that I don't need to go back and forth from our penthouse. That's a lot of waste of time, don't you think so? I'd rather spend my time with my adorable spouse." Sehun pinched his cheeks, scooping down to peck Luhan's rosy lips before standing up and brushing the non-existent dust from his trousers.     Luhan looked at him with wide eyes, startled at the sudden display of affection. He held his cheeks and his fingers on his parted lips, still in a daze. "Sehun- ssi, please." He exasperatedly called, the uneasiness obvious at such bold affection.     "Yes, what is it, love?" The taller winked with a playful grin. "I'm leaving now, take care!" Sehun gathered the equipment and left the room, walking backwards while waving.     Sehun, stop doing this to me. You're making it harder for me to let you go.            _           Luhan was browsing through Pinterest out of boredom when a few DIYs caught his eyes. He wasn't sure why he was so interested and determine
