A Kiss Not Forgotten

Somehow, Somewhere There Is Love

What a peculiar sight it was, when the school heart throb was walking around campus like he was constantly trying to hide from something or someone.

“What the hell V, why are you behaving so weird?” Jimin asked when he bumped into the boy who had all of a sudden stopped walking. His eyes seemed to be fixed on a something in the distance.

“ that’s not Jungeng is it?”

Jimin squinted his eyes in the direction V was looking at. The girl did resemble Jungeng somewhat, but “I don’t think that’s Jungeng.”

“She’s coming this way. Oh god. I need to go before she sees me. If she ask where I’m at, tell her I left the country,” and without wasting anymore time, V ran in the opposite direction leaving a very confused Jimin. Wiping away the dust V left in his speedy get away, Jimin couldn’t help but think there was something up with V and though he had always been a little different, Jimin had never seen him act this strange before. Like what was all this “leaving the country” crap he was sprouting.

Fishing for his phone, he found V’s contact and pressed dial.

“Yo, you can come back now. That wasn’t Jungeng. Rapmon is going to kill you if you miss practice again. And what the- oh Jungeng?” The girl appeared out of nowhere, much like how most of her appearances had always been and it definitely made him sound like a liar on the phone. Speaking of which, did V just hang up on him?

Shoving V off his mind he turned his attention to Jungeng who seemed out of place as he had only ever seen her with V.

“Jungeng, what brings you here?” Of course he had a haunch as to why she was here, but he thought he go ahead and ask anyways.

“Oh I was actually hoping to run into one of you guys,” she smiled. This was strange, she wasn’t asking for V?

“I just wanted to drop this bag of goodies off for you guys,” she held up a bag. “I know you guys are hard at work practicing for your performance and all so I thought you guys could use a little something. I tried to include only healthy snacks, but there aren’t a lot to choose from so I added some junk food as well.” She stretched the bag towards Jimin, who stared at the bag confused.

Why was she handing him the bag? Wouldn’t she much prefer to take it herself?

“You don’t mind taking this with you right?” She asked when he didn’t immediately take the bag. She would have liked to see V, but, her mind wandered back to their kiss, she was too embarrassed to face him.

“Oh, no. Not at all,” he gratefully accepted the bag and thanked her.

There was an awkward silence and it looked like she wanted to ask him, but just wasn’t quite sure how to.

“Um, can I ask you a question?”

He nodded his head and waited. “Is Taehyung doing alright?” Her question seemed strange to Jimin. What did she mean?

Well, if he was to be truthful V did seem a little off, but his eyes went to Jungeng, it was really only when she was involved.

“Yeah, V’s fine,” he lied. He couldn’t possible tell her he was acting weird because of her right?

Jungeng nodded her head, “good. I’m glad.”

“Why? Did something happen between you two? Actually, if you don’t mind me asking, did you by chance meet V one night? He skipped practice and won’t tell any of us why. You wouldn’t happen to know why right?” Perhaps he’ll finally be able to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Plus he would really like to know why V was acting extra strange lately.  Sure, V had always tried to avoid Jungeng, but he was actually really avoiding her now. That idiot actually ran away.

She shook her head no, but the way her face turned a slight shade of pink made him think otherwise and further proved is assumption that whatever V was going through was definitely linked to Jungeng. The way he vanished into thin air when he thought she saw Jungeng was enough proof that there was something up with them. Then there was also the fact that she wasn’t actively asking for his whereabouts.

“Well, I should get going. I just wanted to delivery these snacks. Thanks so much and I, uh I’ll see you later,” she waved goodbye and before Jimin could say anything, she was gone, much like how V had left earlier.

Fishing for his phone once again, he typed a message to V before making his way to the practice room.

  • You better be in the practice room when I get there. Jungeng left.

“Stupid Jungeng,” V muttered as he climbed out of the bushes he had squeezed himself in after hearing that Jungeng was on campus. This was all her fault, he pouted as he made his way to the practice room. He knew the moment he entered the doors would bombard him with questions and quite frankly he didn’t have the answers for them.

“Stupid Jungeng,” he said once more. It was all her fault why he was behaving so odd, well odder than usual.

“Did oppa just call me stupid?” He jerked his head around, afraid he’d see Jungeng, but she wasn’t there. Strange, he could’ve swore he heard her. Groaning, he grabbed his head in frustration when he realized what he was doing. Even when she wasn’t with him, he was thinking about her.

“God, what the hell did you do to me?” It was really a rhetorical question and he wasn’t expecting an answer so when he heard one he couldn’t help jump back in shock.

“I didn’t do anything to you oppa.” He couldn’t believe his eyes, there standing in front of him was none other than Jungeng.

“No,” he refused to believe she was standing in front of him. Rubbing his eyes, he opened them to find Jungeng gone. He sighed in relief, he wasn’t ready to face her yet.

“Boo. Did oppa think he could really get rid of me that easy?” He heard her voice in his ear. She had somehow reappeared beside him, eyes sparkling bright as the sun as she stared at him.

He saw her smile as she repositioned herself so that she was now in front of him, “it would seem as if oppa has really fallen for my charms.”

“No,” he shouted at her, but she didn’t flinch instead her smile grew wider.

“Stop lying to yourself,” he shook his head. No, it wasn’t true, there was no way he could have fallen for a loud, annoying, obnoxious girl.

“You like me so much, you’re even imagining me right now.” He stopped shaking his head and looked up at her. What did she mean? How could he be imagining her when she was standing right in front of him?

“I’m not real. I’m just a pigment of your imagination.” His eyes widened when she suddenly vanished into thin air. Subconsciously he reached out his arm to the space she had previously occupied but was met with only thin air. She really was gone. Had he really just imagined her this whole time? He looked at his surrounding and quickly left the scene, hoping no one had just witness his one moment of insanity.

Finishing the journey to the practice room, he groan when he heard music already being played. He was late. Rapmon and Suga were going to chew him out.

“Stupid Jungeng,” he muttered once more before opening the door. Wasting no time, he quickly got into position, he needed to focus on singing and dancing for the time being. But focus was the last he was.

“V!” He heard Rapmon shout and he knew he had missed a step. The music came to an abrupt stop, “alright we’ll take a short break.”

Grabbing his water bottle, he placed himself on the ground and gulped as much water as he could without drowning. The rustling of a plastic bag was heard as he watched Jimin dig through it, the rest of the boys followed pursuit, but V remained where he was.

“Jungeng bought these for us,” he heard Jimin and he couldn’t help but scoff, of course she did.

“Here. Catch.” A bottle flew towards him and if he didn’t have the kind of reflex he did, it would had hit him square in the face. Seconds after the bottle was threw, he felt Jimin situating himself beside him.

“Jungeng bought us these,” V rolled his eyes, he heard him the first time. Jungeng always seemed to be a topic of discussion whenever they got together.

“Something happened between the two of you.” Jimin started, and he tried his best to ignore him focusing his attention on the vitamin water in his hands.

“You’re avoiding her,” but he had always tried to avoid her, so V wasn’t sure where Jimin was going with this, “and she’s avoiding you.” Okay, this got his attention, but he tried to hide it by opening the bottle and taking a sip out of it.

“You weren’t mean to her right?” He choked on his water.

“What?”

“Like you didn’t make her cry right?”

“No, why would, where are you even getting that idea?”

“I don’t know. I mean when I saw her, there just seemed to be something off about her. She didn’t ask for you like she usually does. And let’s be honest, you aren’t exactly the nicest to her, so I was just afraid maybe she pushed one too many buttons and you finally lost it.”

“If I made her cried, do you think she’d still bring this?” He held up the vitamin drink.

“I guess not, but I don’t know. Jungeng’s always been a little weird too.”

Yes, Jimin did have a point, but no girl, even the craziest of them, would still bring snacks to a guy who made her cry.

“Well something definitely went down between the two of you. Why did hell did you run away from her, well, from someone you thought was Jungeng?”

He closed his eyes, and Jimin could tell he was getting frustrated by the constant questions “I just don’t feel like seeing her,” he sighed. This was all too much for him right now. They were midway into the semester which meant mid-terms were coming up, their performance was only days away, and on top that he was having to deal with Jungeng. No matter what he did, he couldn’t stop thinking about her, about the kiss. Just thinking about the kiss made his blood rush and he hated it. He had kissed plenty of girls before, but when he felt her lips crashed against his, it was as if his whole world had opened up. Symphonies were heard and fireworks exploded in the background.

He couldn’t risk seeing her in person again for if he did, he was afraid he might kiss her again, and that scared him.

So, I'm not quite sure how all of this is going to play out anymore. My original plan sort of went down the drain...lol

Anyway don't get your hopes up too much because even though it seems like Taehyung has finally fell for Sooyoung, he still has to find out about Irene and Jin and it may make him unreasonable. XD
