  H e let go of my hand, looked away and sighed. He turned away and headed to where his bag laid, grabbing some tissues.

“You should… just leave.” He said in a soft quiet voice while cleaning his hand, not even giving me a glance. I didn’t move for a few more seconds the sudden apology stunned me, and I wanted to help but I was afraid. I looked at him one last time then turned around to leave. As soon as I closed the door, I walked away as fast as my legs could move. I just wanted to get away. The moment I reached my home, I finally cried. I have no idea why I was crying, but what happened today made me really sad. Seeing him in such state affected me in some way. Or was it the dreams that haunt me every night. I think everything that I’ve been pushing away finally piled up together.

Next day when I arrived at the front gates, I saw Kai walking in as well, he caught my eyes and stopped walking only looking at me from his spot. But suddenly I felt arms around my shoulder, startled I looked at the owner of these arms, and I found it was none other my friend Min.

“How’s my girl today?” she said wiggling her eyebrows “Uh..okay?” I said unsure of her intentions. “Already smittin’ you guys.” She said still smiling nudging her head towards Kai was still standing there. I gave her a look “Don’t be ridiculous, let’s just go.” I left with her not caring to look at him again. She took my hand and took a careful look at my face. “Are you okay? You don’t look good today.”

“I just feel tired today.” I said giving her a faint smile, she just nodded not believing my words but she shrugged it off. It was lunch time now, but I didn’t feel like eating so I told Min that I would go look for a book in the library. But instead I went outside sitting on one of the benches in the garden. I don’t know how long I’ve been sitting here  -I probably missed my next lecture-, until I heard someone clearing his throat then sitting down at the far end of the bench. But no one spoke for a couple of minutes.

 “What are you doing here?” he asked after a while and I just shrugged. I didn’t feel like talking to him. A couple more minutes passed by in silence. “Tomorrow’s a day off, right?” he asked again, I looked at him and nodded. “So how about…” he paused and rubbed his neck “Like go.. somewhere.. and.. grab something to eat.” He struggled trying to voice out his mind, I gave him a ridiculous look, is he really asking me out?! “Are you drunk?” I asked him shaking my head, he laughed a little “No.”

“Look I don’t know what your problem is, but no, thanks!” I said firmly and got up to leave, but he was hot on my trail. “Wait!” then I found him suddenly in front of me making me stop abruptly and I almost tripped. “What do you want?!” I asked getting impatient. “Look yesterday something really awful happened and I wasn’t on my mind back then okay?”

“Alright!” I said and tried to get away from him, but he blocked my way again. “What now?”

“I felt bad at what I did yesterday, so let me make it up for you.” he lowered his gaze to give it more effect, but I didn’t budge. “You already said sorry, it’s okay.”  

“But you don’t seem okay.” He pointed out  “And we’re one team now, we can’t work with each other like this.” I ran a frustrated hand through my hair “Says the one who ditched me two times in a row.”

“Told you something came up.”

“Yeah.” I rolled my eyes.

“Just accept it!”

“Alright, jeez! You nag more than Min.”

“Who’s Min?” he asked me confused

“Never mind. When do we meet?”

“3 sharp at the café across the street.” I nodded and told him I have to go catch my lecture.

 Next day I thought a lot before going out to meet him , and I was ready to just stay home and get some more sleep. Last night the nightmares were awful and couldn’t sleep at all. But I decided against it, I should just go with it or he’ll give me a real nightmare when I see him next. I sighed as I reached the café looking around I didn’t find him so I choose a table next to the window at the far end of the café. The waiter came by to take my order but I told him I was waiting for someone.

 I guess I zoned out while I was waiting for him because the next thing I know was that my head was resting on the table so I sat back straight only to find him sitting there looking at me with amusement in his eyes. I looked at the clock and gasped, it was 3:45. “When did you come?”

“Half an hour ago.” He simply said. “And you were just staring at me? why didn’t you wake me  up?!” I asked incredulously. “You seemed tired unless you wouldn’t have slept here in that uncomfortable position.” I nodded slowly and I felt kind of embarrassed sleeping in here. “What would you like to get?”

“Chocolate latte.” He smiled a little. “What?”

“That’s my favorite.” Then he went to get us the drinks. And while he was away I kept scolding myself for sleeping in a public place. Then the thought of him watching me asleep kind of crept me out and his sudden change
