It was finally time for the event that everyone had been waiting for. Music Bank. The boys from ss501 and DBSK were finally going to shine in front of everyone. They were going to sing and dance their hearts out. Two guys especially would be doing their best…for a girl they had in their heart.

HyeYoung was excited for the concert, though she didn’t understand exactly why. She usually wasn’t the kind of person that liked going out to concerts. She was more of the kind of girl that liked to stay inside with people she cared about. Though then again, those people she used to be with were no longer here. They had all left. For good. Not that she was mad or blaming them.

Jaejoong hopped off the car after the other four. His heart was pounding and a rush of excitement swept through his body. Excited and nervous all at the same time. He took out a silver necklace from his pocket, twirling it around. He smiled as he raised it up with his two fingers.

“Hyung.” Junsu caught a glimpse of the necklace and curious, he decided to inquire about it.

“Hm?” Jaejoong covered it with his hand, hoping Junsu wouldn’t ask anything of it.

“Whats that?”

“Yah, pabo, can’t you see it’s a necklace?” Yunho smacked Junsu’s head.

“Augh, don’t hit me! You know what I meant!” Junsu pouted.

“Hyung, is it for HyeYoung?” Changmin ignored the other two arguing.

Yoochun grinned, “Ooh someone’s in love…”

Jaejoong scratched the back of his head, “Sarang? Aish I can’t even understand my own feelings. I don’t know if I really love her or if I’m just confused.”

“She seems to really care for you hyung.”

Junsu sighed, “Kure. I’m no one to her. She probably just sees me as a dongsaeng.”

Yoochun patted Junsu’s back, “Thanks for finally thinking.”

“Yah!”

Changmin then asked, “So HyeYoung is going to be here today?”

“Yeah.”

“We have to perform our very best!”

“HWAITING!” All five boys raised their arm, balling their hands into fists, and then bringing it down at the same time.

HyunJoong sighed as he sat in the dressing room beside the other SS501 members. He rested his chin on his right hand, wondering what HyeYoung was doing now. The stylist was spreading gel over his hair to make it stick up for the performance.

A short, scrawny man with glasses opened the door exclaiming, “In 20 minutes we start. SS501 will do the second to last song so you have 40 to 50 minutes.” He then shut the door.

They were to perform the song Love Like This. The boys had practiced the dance choreography and trained their voices for this night. Music Bank usually wasn’t such a big deal, but since HyeYoung was going to be here, everyone wanted to do their very best.

The SNSD girls were all in the dressing room, each in their own world, doing their own thing. One of the girls cleared as she excused herself to the restroom. She made sure no one followed her and instead of going to where she had said she was going in the first place, she hid behind a corner and took out her cell phone. Dialing a few numbers, she then brought the phone to her ear and whispered, “Yeobosayo.”

The other voice began murmuring a few words and the girl nodded as she heard them all. “Aighesumnida.” She shut her phone and sighed. Shoving the phone down her pocket, she walked back to the dressing room, letting her hips rock side to side with each step she took. Seeing the tag on one of the doors, she paused. She ran her fingers over it, murmuring the word to herself, “Dong Bang Shin Ki.” She frowned for a second, but then composed herself, clicking her tongue. She could care less for the past—it was over. Besides, she had only toyed with him for benefits. Though that time, she hadn’t succeeded. But this time, she was determined to.

She took a deep breath before reaching for the door in which all the girls were. Putting a fake smile on, she turned the knob and entered the room.

“Yuri-shi.”

The girl smiled.

“Dong Bang Shin Ki, you’ll be the last to perform. Araso?”

“Ye. Aighesumnida.”

The scrawny man in charge of telling all the groups when they’d perform walked away, off to the next group.

“Aish, you guys ready?” Yoochun buried his head in his arms with a groan.

The others sighed in response.

“I take that as a yes…?”

“SS501, GO!”

The five boys entered the stage, each from a different angle. They were all wearing white suits with black dress shirts under them. The crowd cheered and went wild.

“SS501! SS501! SS501!”

HyungJoon was in the center and he raised his head as the music started and opened his mouth to start off the song. JungMin then switched with him to sing his part, pointing at the crowd as he sang. Then Kyu Jong came from the right side at his lines and his hair with his free hand while the other held the microphone. Then at the chorus, all five boys begun dancing, skipping with their feet, moving them to flow with the beat of the song. HyunJoong showed his bright smile, bringing up the mood for the entire audience as his silky, smooth voice enchanted them as well. His eyes sought HyeYoung and once he found her, he grinned. When the song ended, HyunJoong walked towards the direction facing HyeYoung and bowed.

HyeYoung was clapping her hands after she heard SS501’s performance. She had never seen one, so she couldn’t really say it was the best or anything like that. What she knew was that she had enjoyed it. From seeing each one of the boys, she could tell how much effort they had put into the performance. All for their fans. The thought made her feel happy. It was nice to know that the boys were kindhearted.

The MC stepped out and smiled, “That was an amazing song, right? Well coming up next is…DONG BANG SHIN KI! Hey! Don’t bring me down!”

HyeYoung was excited and couldn’t help but tap her legs anxiously with her fingers.

The Dong Bang Shin Ki boys were all in a straight line, wearing black tanks with army colored jeans. Their muscles were exposed, making them appear buffer than ever, if that were even possible. Some back-up dancers were aligned beside them as well. First Yunho began to dance as the song started.  He raised both of his arms, dropped them back down, and then made two hard steps to the front. Then Yoochun started singing. The song was directed to a girl that was using the singer. It was one of those break-up type of songs.  But the beat was catchy, and HyeYoung couldn’t help but notice a part in which Jaejoong seemed to wink…at her. All five members moved their legs, making it flow with the rhythm, getting lost in the music. Whenever one of them sang, he would go to the center while the others continued to dance beside him. HyeYoung noticed that the one that would dance the most was Yunho and then the rest followed along, doing their best. Seeing the charismatic smiles on their face made anyone who was watching sigh in amazement.

Once the performance ended, the crowd began cheering. The screams of fans were much too loud and HyeYoung scrunched up her eyes as she attempted to block out all the incessant noise by covering her ears. Not being able to withstand any longer, she exited and went out to the hallway. She suddenly felt someone grab her hand. Surprised, HyeYoung didn’t want to take any chances so she sent her hand flying at whoever had just touched her. Her hand however, was blocked and she was turned around to face Jaejoong.

“Were you trying to hit me?”

HyeYoung coughed and then looked down at her feet, “Um no…”

Jaejoong chuckled. He then took out something from his pocket and hid it in his fist. He reached his arm out, his fist still balled up with whatever was in it. HyeYoung tilted her head to the side a bit, not sure of what was being asked of her. Was she supposed to accept or wait for him to give it? Then again, was it even for her? His hand opened slowly, and HyeYoung gasped when she saw the silver necklace in it. It was so beautiful.

“I got it for you. As a sort of thank you for the other day when you took care of me.”

“It’s so beautiful…”

Jaejoong then raised it up, to her neck. “May I?”

HyeYoung nodded and felt the necklace be placed around her neck.

“HyeYoung…Jaejoong.”

The two whirled their faces to the right, to see HyunJoong come up with his hands in his pockets. “What are you guys doing.”

“Oh…nothing.” Jaejoong and HyeYoung had been surprised to see HyunJoong appear from nowhere.

“So HyeYoung what did you think of our performance?”

She nodded with a smile, “It was really good. You guys worked hard. Both of you.”

HyunJoong then held her hand. HyeYoung looked down, feeling his warm hand on hers. She then looked up at Jaejoong and couldn’t help but notice a look of pain on his face, at least for a split second.

HyunJoong then looked up at her with a smile. “I’ll take you home, araso?”

She nodded.

Jaejoong sighed, “Well I have to go you guys. The boys are going to get impatient if I don’t return soon. See you guys soon.” He turned and left.

HyeYoung looked at him leave, not understanding why the sudden mood-swing.

Why had he left abruptly? Wasn’t HyunJoong his best friend?

“Kwenchana?”

“Hm? Ah, ye.”

“Kaja!” He smiled as he tugged her away.
