Hoseok didn't mention anything to do with reading his file to Yoongi. He didn't think he was ready to find out his side of the story; not that Yoongi would speak to him anyway.
The following day, Hoseok had left Yoongi home alone to go and buy the Hybrid a collar. When he entered the pet shop, he was pretty much spoilt for choice. The Hybrid collars were positioned right next to the dog collars. They were basically the same as normal collars, only bigger.
Scanning the shelves, Hoseok tried to imagine the colour that would look good on Yoongi. He rules out black almost immediately, thinking that it wouldn't suit his complexion. Pink was also ruled out because it would clash with the colour of his hair. The young dancer must've spent at least ten minutes thinking about it before a shop assistant noticed him.
"Can I be of any assistance?" The young lady asked with a polite smile.
Being jolted out of his thoughts, Hoseok turned to her and smiled back. She was a few inches shorter than himself, with dark brown hair and a slim figure.
"Um, yeah, if you don't mind..." Hoseok began sheepishly. "Im looking for a collar for my Hybrid and I'm not really sure where to start."
"Oh really? You have a Hybrid?" The assistant asked excitedly. "I love Hybrids, I have one too. Now, let's see if we can find you a nice collar for your Hybrid. Is it a boy or a girl?"
"It's a boy." Hoseok replied.
"Ahh, that narrows it down then. The male collars are slightly thicker than the female ones, but they still come in the same colours." The assistant explained. "What kind of Hybrid is he?"
"He's a cat Hybrid." The dancer answered.
The assistant directed Hoseok over to the male Hybrid collars; they were indeed slightly thicker than the female collars. He was indeed spoilt for choice.
"See anything you like?" The shop assistant asked, smiling warmly.
Scanning the shelf again, Hoseok eventually spotted one that he thought would be perfect. A plain, strawberry red leather collar that came with a simple silver disk shaped name tag. Picking it up, he admired the texture between his fingers. It was soft, and would probably be comfortable around Yoongi's neck.
"This one will be perfect." He said, handing the collar to the shop assistant.
"Okay, this one comes with a free leash too. And we will also engrave the tag, free of charge." She said before leading Hoseok over to the check out.
Once there, she removed the name tag and placed it into the engraving machine before turning back to Hoseok.
"I'll need your Hybrid's name, your name, address and phone number." She said, placing a piece of paper down in front of him for Hoseok to write on. "I'm Jimin, by the way."
"Oh?" Hoseok smiled, writing down the details required. "I have a friend called Jimin. A male Jimin."
Jimin chuckled as Hoseok handed her the paper. Taking it to the machine, she began to type in Hoseok's details first. Once that side was done, she flipped the tag over. As she was typing in Yoongi's name, something must have clicked in her head as she promptly stopped what she was doing and turned back to Hoseok.
The girl stared at him with a mixture of surprise and worry, leaving the young dancer confused. The boy sent a quizzical look back at her.
