As she stared at the guy in front of her, all Krystal could feel was hurt and pain coursing through her, seeming to eat her up. “Break up?” she repeated softly.

He nodded coolly, unaware of her heart breaking. “Yeah, I’m sorry, but I don’t really like you all that much anymore.”

“It’s because of that Seulgi girl, isn’t it?” Krystal darkly asked, trying to control her uneven breathing.

His face flushed at the name of the girl he was currently crushing on. The girl he was dumping Krystal for. “So what if it is?” he challenged.

Krystal’s eyes met Kai’s, her boyfriend- now ex-boyfriend- of six months. “You jerk!” she suddenly lashed at him. Her eyes became watery, but she refused to let them fall in front of Kai. “You said you changed!”

The ever so famous playboy merely shrugged. “I thought I did. But turns out I didn’t.”

The sight of Kai being so nonchalant about their breakup infuriated Krystal. “I pity Seulgi for having a boy like you crush on her,” she spat.

Kai’s face darkened. “Don’t bring her into this,” he warned her.

Krystal scoffed. “What, you think I’m going to go into the evil queen mode? I’m not that mean." She then fell quiet, and her face conveyed all her bitterness.

At the sight of Krystal looking so angry and upset, Kai felt a bit sorry for her. “Look, I’m sorry about this, but I thought it’d be better to end our relationship now than continue it.”

Without looking at Kai, she sourly said, “Whatever. I’m done here.” And without another word, she whipped around and walked away. Then and there, she decided she was done for good. She was done with relationships and with boys. She wasn’t going to go through heartbreak for a third time.

I'm a HyukStal (is that the ship name?) fan ever since Heirs, and I'm only really writing this for fun and to get better at writing. There won't be a concrete plot, but I'm hoping to go somewhere with this. I'll update irregularly~

5.24.15 edit: There is a plot, don't worry. When I initially started writing, I didn't have a final destination, but now with chapters, I definitely have an end goal. I realized that this story focused a lot on friendship rather than romance (even though there are sprinkles of the latter). Consider this sort of a slice of life story.
