Sleepy & Lucky (The Eighth Dwarf)
Third Time's The CharmPraise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Psalm 68:19
Ever since Krystal acknowledged her slight crush on Minhyuk, she felt as though she was hyper aware of his presence whenever she was with him. It was like her senses were in overdrive, able to notice his every move, and she felt drawn to him more than ever.
Krystal hated it.
She tried her best to act natural and normal around him, as if she didn’t have a crush on him, but it was so hard with her senses so heightened. She was just glad she wasn’t the type of girl who blushed so easily.
Her ability to notice the little things about him like his habit of biting his lip whenever he didn’t understand something only led to one thing: falling even harder for him. She never knew how much she loved hearing him laugh or seeing him smile fondly whenever he talked about playing the drums, a hobby of his she learned about during one of their study sessions.
She thought about this all the time. About how she seemed to like him more and more because she noticed him more and more. She wondered if there was ever a loophole out of the cycle.
The library dates to work on the project didn’t help either. Those afternoons, she only had him for company, and she thanked God they were nearly done with the project which meant no more meetings. And when the day came to finally turn in their projects Krystal nearly cheered aloud.
“We did a pretty good job on our project, didn’t we, Krys?” Minhyuk’s voice popped her thoughts as he stared down at the final product of their hard work.
She glanced at it. “Yeah,” she said tiredly. Without meaning to, a yawn slipped through her lips.
“When did you go to sleep?”
Krystal shrugged. “I don’t know,” she mumbled. “Maybe at 3?”
Minhyuk shook his head at her. “You should be sleeping earlier,” he chided. She was too tired to argue.
Yawning again, she closed her eyes and rested her head on her desk, just wanting to rest her eyes for a while. But when she next opened them again, people were packing up their belongings and leaving. Class was over.
