(YJ) – Young Jae speaking
(DH) – Daehyun speaking
(HC) – Himchan speaking

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mm…” (YJ) Young Jae let out a sleepy whine as he reached behind him and moved something that was currently poking his bottom. Due to his sleepiness, he didn’t necessarily care what he was touching nor what it was. As long as he was comfortable, then it didn’t bother him all too much.

Moving a bit so that he was more comfortable, he moved the arm that was currently over his arms and moved it down to his waist before settling in to his current position. Despite wanting to fall back asleep, realization slowly began to kick in that he was currently in the arms of another. Slowly opening his eyes, Young Jae sleepily looked down at the arm that was currently tightening its hold on him. Judging from the body pressing up against him as well as the… rather hard thing that just briefly rubbed against him, he could tell that it was a male.

Biting his bottom lip and holding his breath, Young Jae slowly turned to his right before his eyes landed on Daehyun’s sleeping face. His face turned a deep shade of red as he turned back forward, his eyes wide as he tried to search his room for an answer. How exactly was he going to get out of this situation without waking Daehyun?! A hug was one thing, but to also feel Daehyun’s hardened state being pressed against him made things MUCH more awkward than it would have been! Well, okay, he was also in a hardened state, but that’s because that’s usually what happened whenever a male slept at night! Or at least… that’s what he read online somewhere.

He laid there, his ears burning with embarrassment as he felt Daehyun’s warm breath against the back of his neck. It wasn’t even until now that he noticed that Daehyun’s leg was also over his own, which probably explained why Daehyun was poking him so much so easily just a few seconds ago. Still… he didn’t exactly like being wrapped up like this. Clearing his throat, Young Jae spoke quietly in an attempt to get Daehyun to release him. “U-Um… Daehyun…? A-Are you awake…?” (YJ)

Not a single response, though it was possible that Daehyun could be pretending. Still… why would he pretend to be sleeping in an awkward position like this? With a quiet whine, Young Jae shifted a bit in an attempt to loosen Daehyun’s hold on him. Sadly, the only thing he managed to succeed in was rubbing their bodies together and making things even more awkward… for him anyway. “D-Daehyun… P-Please wake up and let go…” (YJ)

There! At that moment, it seemed like Daehyun’s hold loosened up enough for Young Jae to carefully move Daehyun’s arm and leg off of him. Rolling a bit towards the edge of the bed, Young Jae carefully stepped onto the floor and stood up before letting out a relieved sigh. Fixing the little problem he was having down below, he quickly looked up at Daehyun, whom was still sleeping. His eyes unintentionally moved down Daehyun’s body, a lump slowly forming in his throat as his eyes slowly landed on the obvious bulge in Daehyun’s pants. Why was he staring at another man’s private area? Yes, he has seen a man’s private area in the videos that he’s watched, but… this was his first time both seeing and technically feeling one before. Okay, so his pants covered it, but it was much more than what he normally saw in his calm life.

Once he was finally able to swallow the lump in his throat, Young Jae quickly made his way over to one of his shelves and taking both his towels. Looking at the time then back at Daehyun, Young Jae could only assume that Daehyun would sleep for at least another two or three hours before waking up… assuming he didn’t usually wake up early on the weekends.

That meant that he could probably shower and get dressed before Daehyun woke up. At least that way, he wouldn’t have to worry about Daehyun seeing anything that he didn’t need to see. Sure, he could have just gotten dressed in the bathroom, but Young Jae disliked dressing in the bathroom right after a shower. It always felt weird, so he hoped that this plan of his worked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Letting out a satisfied sigh, Young Jae smiled a bit as he walked down the short hallway. It felt nice being clean and if he could, he would stay clean all the time. Sadly, all he could do was enjoy the small bursts of cleanliness whenever he did clean himself up.

Walking into his room, Young Jae made his way over to his vanity before staring at himself for a moment. He blinked a few times, noting the red eyes that he was currently sporting. Of course, that was his own fault. He thought he had finished shampooing his hair and as a result… he ended up getting shampoo in his eyes.  Well, at least his eyes were fine for the time being.

Humming to himself, Young Jae put on his deodorant before walking over to his dresser and after he opened it up, he begun pulling clothes out that he planned to wear for the day. Since he didn’t think that he was going out any time soon, another pair of pajamas should suffice for the time being.

Undoing his towel, he was about to pull it up so that he could put his underwear on, but then he heard someone clear their throat. In that instant, Young Jae froze as he waited for the other person to speak. When it was evident that they were waiting as well, Young Jae let out a quiet whine as he slowly turned just enough towards the source of the voice.

Right there, lying in bed with his hands behind his head, was Daehyun staring at him with a sort of grin on his face. Young Jae’s face instantly reddened as he quickly turned back in the direction he had been facing, pulling the towel back around his waist as he tried to keep calm. “What are you so shy about? We’re both boys, right?” (DH)

Yes, Young Jae wanted to believe that that was the case, but that was definitely NOT the case! Even if they are both boys, that didn’t exactly mean that it was alright for two boys to stare at each other’s bodies! Plus, Young Jae wasn’t exactly all that proud of his body. Sure, he was comfortable with it, but that didn’t mean that he was okay with showing it off to everyone. He just wanted this situation to quickly come to an end. “C-Can you… please go under the blanket or something until I get dressed…? Please…?” (YJ)

“Alriiiight but as your friend, we have to compare sizes one of these days.” (DH) Compare what?! What did Daehyun mean by sizes?! Young Jae was a bit afraid to ask, but his curiosity was going to get the better of him, he just knew it.

Quickly turning his head, he noticed that Daehyun had completely covered himself with the blanket. Taking advantage of this, Young Jae quickly put on his clothes as quickly as he could before letting out a relieved sigh. As Young Jae begun to dry his hair, his thoughts went back to what they had been talking about last night.

Daehyun had mentioned that he didn’t have a cell phone and since he was living here for the time being, he technically didn’t have a home phone number either. Even when Young Jae asked for Daehyun’s phone number from his house, Daehyun didn’t exactly want to give that up. Young Jae did wonder why that was the case, but he decided not to ask any questions from that point. “Young Jaeeeee! Can I look yet? It’s getting hot under here!” (DH)

“Y-Yeah…!” (YJ) Both males took whatever cloth they had off of their heads before they looked at one another. Daehyun let out a relieved sigh as he practically threw the blanket off of his body before sitting up and stretching a bit. With a smile, Daehyun slouched in his seat a bit before scratching the back of his head.

“You dress pretty quickly! Hey. Is breakfast ready?” (DH) He was already asking for breakfast? Young Jae looked over at his alarm clock, which showed that it was already nine in the morning. Normally, his grandmother had already finished cooking breakfast and was out doing her usual routine by now. Which meant that they were home alone until about five in the afternoon.

“There should be breakfast on the table already… I think.” (YJ)

“Great! I’ll see you there.” (DH) With no hesitation, just like yesterday, Daehyun got up from the bed before making his way out of the bedroom. Once Young Jae was alone in the room, he let out a small sigh before hanging the towels on the nearby hooks. Walking up to his vanity, Young Jae examined himself once more before he took hold of his comb and began to comb his air.

Would everyday be like this...?

After making certain that he had finished up whatever he needed to do, Young Jae finally left his bedroom and made his way towards the kitchen. He could hear the sound of a spoon briefly hitting the bottom of the plate, which made Young Jae wonder if Daehyun was already almost done eating or not. Though, if Daehyun ate as much as he ate last night, then he doubted that he was almost done already. Young Jae had only been getting ready for about five minutes, so it shouldn’t have been that quick for Daehyun.

Entering the kitchen, Young Jae headed straight for the fridge before opening it up. When his eyes landed on the pitcher of orange juice that his grandmother had prepared, Young Jae’s eyes lit up as he smiled and pulled the pitcher out of the fridge. Closing the fridge, Young Jae turned around to see Daehyun still shirtless, but eating happily. “Aren’t you… um… going to put a shirt on?” (YJ)

Daehyun looked up with those oddly innocent eyes. It felt weird to see Daehyun looking at him so innocently and Young Jae, especially since Daehyun seemed to be the kind of person whom was far from innocent. Of course, the innocence seemed to cease when Daehyun began speaking with food still in his mouth. Luckily, Daehyun had enough sense to cover his mouth as he spoke. “Aw... Do I HAVE to? I never get to do this at home!” (DH)

Young Jae let out a short whine before shaking his head. If this was something that Daehyun wanted to do, then Young Jae didn’t want to get in his way. It’s not like it was anything too bad or anything, right? Walking over to the cupboards, Young Jae opened it up and took out two tall glasses before making his way over to the kitchen table. Sitting across from Daehyun, Young Jae filled both glasses with orange juice before handing one of them to Daehyun, whom voiced a muffled thanks.

As Young Jae began to eat, Daehyun glanced up at Young Jae every now and then. A smile seemed to remain plastered on his face as ideas began to roam around in his head. When Young Jae finally noticed this, Young Jae lowered his spoon back down as he blinked a few times out of confusion. “I-Is there something on my face…?” (YJ)

“Nope! Just thinking about how squishy you are.” (DH)

“S-… Squishy…?” (YJ) Daehyun nodded as his smile seemed to show off just how content he seemed to be with this fact. Young Jae looked back down at his food, not really certain how he should take this bit of information. Was it a good thing or a bad thing that he was squishy? Young Jae didn’t necessarily want to be squishy, but it’s not like he could help how his body was.

“Your skin’s really soft too. I like it.” (DH) Young Jae looked up at Daehyun before giving a sort of uncertain nod. He didn’t really think his skin was all that soft, but that just may be because it was his own skin and not someone else’s. “Hey. What do you usually do on the weekend?”(DH)

“Um…” (YJ) It took a moment for him to think, but his usual schedule seemed to pop up rather easily in his head. He wasn’t necessarily certain if Daehyun would approve of his schedule, but it was a schedule that he was proud of… sort of. “I, um… I usually start studying pre-calculus after breakfast for two hours… then I study language until lunch… then, um… I study biology for another two hours… the-“ (YJ)

“Stop right there! Study?! Is that all you ever do?!” (DH) Young Jae stared at Daehyun with innocent eyes as he nodded with no hesitation. Daehyun let out a small groan as he unintentionally smacked his own face before letting out a sigh. Putting his hand back onto the table, Daehyun furrowed his eyebrows a bit as he wagged his index finger a bit. “Not today! You’re going out with me to boost that confidence of yours. Studying can be detrimental for your health too if you do it too much!” (DH)

Young Jae blinked a few times as he nodded without thinking. He hadn’t heard anything about that, but it must be true if Daehyun seemed to be full of life about the situation. Though, so far, Young Jae thought that he was fairly healthy. He didn’t have any health problems, though maybe it was more of a mental problem rather than a physical one. “Then it’s settled! We’ll go to the mall and we’ll interact with as many people as possible.” (DH)

“T-The mall?!” (YJ)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I-I don’t know about this…” (YJ)

“It’s fine! Just go up to him, ask him if they have the game and how much it is, then come right back! It’s easy!” (DH) Young Jae let out a small whine as he looked at the employee and fiddled with his fingers. It was easy, yes, but Young Jae wasn’t really certain if he could bring himself to do it. Talking to people wasn’t exactly his forte and he already knew that he was going to end up messing up somehow. “Come on. You can do it. Just don’t think too much about it!” (DH)

“But it’s awkward...!” (YJ)

“So?! You gotta start somewhere and this is the easiest thing I can think of! Now go on!” (DH) Daehyun brought his arm back before swinging underneath, giving Young Jae’s bottom a good slap and causing Young Jae to jump forward a bit. Young Jae whined as he looked at Daehyun, slowly inching forward as he attempted to ignore the pain on his bottom. When Daehyun motioned for him to continue moving forward, Young Jae pouted before looking forward as he walked.

His heartbeat was racing, threatening to rip out from his chest as he approached the employee. His legs were weakening, warning that they could give out from underneath him at any moment. Young Jae could also feel his ears burning and his body slowly beginning to sweat. This was difficult, but Young Jae felt like Daehyun wouldn’t let him go without achieving his current goal.

Once he was close enough to the employee, the employee turned their attention towards him as he gave a friendly smile. Despite his friendly appearance though, Young Jae was still nervous about messing up. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Young Jae attempted to stand up straight as he tried to gather up as much courage of his courage as possible. “Um… D-Do you have… the um… the…” (YJ)

Crap. Young Jae completely forgot what game Daehyun told him to ask for. There were plenty of games that he could have asked for, but Young Jae’s mindset was telling him to ask specifically for the game that Daehyun had wanted. “Yes…? What are you looking for?”

“Um…” (YJ) Young Jae’s mind had entered a state of panic as he began looking around the area behind the employee. Maybe he would be able to jog his memory if he found the game that Daehyun wanted him to look for, but then he wouldn’t be asking if they had found it just moments ago! “Um… D-Do you have… the um…” (YJ)

“Do you have the Tales of Symphonia remake in stock?” (DH) Young Jae’s eyes widened as he quickly looked to his right to see Daehyun holding a small smile. Daehyun could see that Young Jae was starting to panic and in an attempt to help him out, he had decided to come up and help him. With his arm around Young Jae’s shoulders, Daehyun gave Young Jae’s should a comforting squeeze as he waited for the employee to respond.

“Hm… I believe we’re out of stock today. A new shipment should be coming in next week though.” Daehyun flashed a grin as he gave a quick thumbs up to the employee.

“Thanks!” (DH) Removing his arm from Young Jae’s shoulder and turning him around, Daehyun used his other arm to wrap around Young Jae’s shoulders before pulling him away. Grinning a bit as he leaned his head a little closer to Young Jae’s, Daehyun reached up and gave Young Jae’s cheek a firm squeeze. “You really need to work on your talking skills. Well… It’s alright. Let’s just enjoy our day here, yeah?” (DH)

“M-Mm…” (YJ) Young Jae was rather disappointed in himself for failing a simple task. He felt like he had let both himself and Daehyun down, but Daehyun seemed to be alright with this failure. Maybe next time he would be able to get better at talking to people.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He stared at the two with suspicion, his arms folded and his foot tapping as he waited for a better reason than what was provided. Himchan had decided to come to the mall just because he felt like it and whom did he run into? Who else other than his so-called best friend and his so-called best friend’s new best friend. So then what was their reason for being here at the mall? Together? To supposedly increase Young Jae’s confidence!

Now, Himchan probably would have believed that, but there were a number of things that made him think otherwise. The first reason would have to be the fact that Daehyun had his arm around Young Jae’s shoulders. As friendly as it’s supposed to be, it made things much more suspicious than it should have been. Plus, Young Jae was blushing like an anime schoolgirl when their senpai finally noticed them! The second reason would have to be because they hadn’t thought of inviting him! Maybe Himchan wanted to tag along and help out. Had they ever thought about that possibility? As for the last reason, well, it was just because Daehyun was himself. Yep. He just didn’t like Daehyun. “I’m coming along.” (HC)

“Suit yourself.” (DH) Daehyun merely shrugged as he rubbed Young Jae’s arm a bit. Himchan raised a single brow as he instantly glared at Daehyun’s hand, attempting to stab it with invisible daggers that he was trying to shoot from his eyes. Sadly, it seemed like it only made him look weird as the two looked at him as if he was crazy. “What are you doing?” (DH)

“Nothing! Let’s just get moving!” (HC) Himchan took hold of Young Jae’s wrist before pulling him towards a random direction, pulling him out of Daehyun’s grasp in the process. Daehyun smirked a bit, giving a simple shrug as he put his hands into his pockets and followed after the two.

As they walked through the mall, Himchan constantly looked back to see Daehyun still following them. After about the fifth time Himchan looked back, Daehyun began to either way or make funny faces at Himchan. Even if Himchan knew that Daehyun was going to do something, he looked back regardless. He had hoped to lose Daehyun in the crowd, but it didn’t seem like his attempts were working.

After about ten minutes of roaming, Himchan finally gave up. Letting out an irritated groan, Himchan lead the three of them into the food court before sitting down at an isolated table. Looking at the other two whom were now seated across from him, he narrowed his eyelids as he leaned forward. “So what the heck is your plan now anyway?” (HC)

“Well, Young Jae has to order our food now. Right Young Jae?” (DH) Daehyun looked at Young Jae with a grin, but Young Jae could only stare with wide eyes at Daehyun. What did he mean by ordering their food?! Young Jae couldn’t do that! Well, he could, but his nervousness may end up causing him to forget what their orders were. That’s probably the main reason why he hadn’t gotten a job yet. He just wasn’t any good at talking with people regardless of the situation.

“That’s your plan? To make Young Jae do your guinea work?!” (HC) Daehyun looked at Himchan before a smirk graced his lips. Wrapping his arm around Young Jae once again, he pulled Young Jae close to him as he pressed their heads together in an attempt to make Himchan get annoyed just a bit more.

“Well… He DOES have to do whatever I say.” (DH) Himchan’s eyes widened for a brief moment before narrowing once more. This time, his eyebrows furrowed as he quickly tried to come up with any reasonable explanations that may explain what Daehyun meant by his words. Sadly, nothing seemed to come to mind as Himchan sat up and cleared his throat.

“You’re lying.” (HC)

“Nope! It’s true. Wanna see?” (DH)

“How are you going to show me?” (HC) Daehyun grinned as he quickly looked around. When he spotted what he was looking for, Daehyun thought of what he might want from there before turning to look at Young Jae. Unlike Himchan, Young Jae already knew what Daehyun was about to make him do and he definitely didn’t like it.

Young Jae~ Go to that stall and get me five burgers with bacon inside. Make sure that they add mayo and ketchup packets! Oh and I want iced tea. Do you need money?” (DH) Young Jae looked at the stall that Daehyun had pointed to, despair clear on his face as he slowly shook his head. Biting his bottom lip, Young Jae now displayed a nervous look on his face as he slowly rose to his feet. Himchan, surprised by his actions, quickly spoke up.

“Young Jae! What are you doing?! Do you really have to listen to what he says?!” (HC) Looking at Himchan, Young Jae gave a small nod before he slowly began to make his way towards the stall. Himchan could only watch Young Jae in disbelief as his mouth hung slightly agape.

“Why so surprised? I was telling the truth.” (DH) Snapping himself from out of his disbelief, Himchan turned and glared at Daehyun. Either this was a prank or Daehyun had somehow used sorcery to trick and control Young Jae into doing his bidding. Leaning forward, he set his elbow on the table as he pointed an accusing finger at Daehyun.

“You used magic, didn’t you?!” (HC) Daehyun raised a single brow as he looked at Himchan as if he was crazy. Instead of responding though, Daehyun merely rolled his eyes and shook his head as he looked back to watch Young Jae. “Hey! Don’t you dare ignore me, you… you… voodoo ritualistic!” (HC)

Daehyun let out a small chuckle, but that was the most acknowledgement that he would give to Himchan. It was clear that Himchan was crazy and Daehyun knew that it was best not to give him too much attention. Who knows what would happen if he received too much attention.

While Himchan was busy trying to regain Daehyun’s attention, Young Jae was standing by the stall that Daehyun had pointed at. His eyes were glued to the menu, scanning for the things that Daehyun had been talking about as well as what he may want for himself. As he finally decided on what to buy, he had turned around out of instinct to tell someone else, but when it was evident that Daehyun and Himchan were still at the table, nervousness began to kick in again.

Turning back towards the counter, Young Jae’s eyes widened as he saw the employees going about their usual routine. There were a few customers ahead of him, but it was still something that he wasn’t used to. Young Jae normally had other people order for him, so this was a completely new experience for him.

Biting his bottom lip, Young Jae took a single step back before pausing. How was he going to get this done? It should have been simple, but for some reason, it seemed much more complicated in Young Jae’s head than it should have been. He didn’t want to talk to them, but if he didn’t get it done, then he wouldn’t be getting anywhere. It was one thing if people spoke to him, but it was another if he had to be the first to talk.

Taking in a deep breath, Young Jae clenched his fists as he walked up to the counter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Well… You almost did it. That’s all that matters.” (DH)

“I-I’m sorry…” (YJ) Young Jae had his hands between his lap with his head downwards. He had indeed talked to the employee, but he ended up messing up the order in the end. Still, unlike Himchan, Daehyun was a bit more positive about the situation.

“Don’t worry about it! At least you went up to the guy and ordered. Cheer up! It’s not the end of the world or anything!” (DH) Young Jae gave a small nod as he picked up a single fry and took a bite out of it. Maybe it really was a bit of an improvement, right? He had just hoped to get it done correctly.

“Aish… You should be pointing out his errors and fixing it!” (HC)

“We’ll get to that later. You’re just grumpy that Young Jae didn’t get you anything.” (DH) Daehyun smirked a bit as he saw the sort of annoyed look on Himchan’s face. When Young Jae had arrived with the bag of food, he had only ordered two meals; one for himself, and one for Daehyun. It was amusing to see Himchan’s sort of annoyed look, but that was his own fault. It’s not like Young Jae knew what Himchan wanted and Himchan hadn’t bothered to tell Young Jae anything.

“TH-… That’s insane! I wouldn’t get grumpy over-” (HC) At that moment, Himchan’s phone began to ring, cutting off the rest of his sentence. Pulling out his phone, Himchan moved away from the duo to take his call. It took a few minutes, but once his phonecall was over, he made his way back over to the two with a sort of ‘I’m keeping my eye on you’ look. “You’re lucky I have to get going. You better not make Young Jae into a bad kid!” (HC)

“Yeah yeah yeah. Go away already.” (DH) Himchan shot a glare at Daehyun, but Daehyun was eating with a sort of bored look on his face. Of course, Daehyun wasn’t even looking at Himchan. He had his elbow on the table with the right side of his jawline in the palm of his hand. Letting out an annoyed huff, Himchan looked at Young Jae, whom quickly sat up.

“You behave! Don’t do anything bad, you hear me?!” (HC) Young Jae gave a quick nod, to which Himchan gave a nod of approval before heading out. Letting out a relieved sigh, Daehyun stretched a bit before sitting back up.

FINALLY! He’s GONE! Now we can try out this thing I’ve been wanting to try.” (DH) Young Jae looked at Daehyun out of curiosity as Daehyun pulled one of the fries from Young Jae’s cup before holding it out for Young Jae. “Hold half of it with your teeth.” (DH)

“W-Why…?” (YJ)

“Just do it! It’ll be great.” (DH) Young Jae hesitated, but he did as he was told. Young Jae watched as Daehyun pulled his hand away, but the second he noticed Daehyun leaning in, Young Jae’s eyes widened as he began leaning away. Instead of telling Young Jae to remain still, Daehyun reached up and had a firm hold on Young Jae’s head with both hands, keeping him in place as he took in the remaining half of the fry. Biting down and cutting the fry in half, Daehyun leaned away as he chewed happily, wiping his fingers with his tissue as he looked back down at his food. Young Jae, however, was completely mortified as he continued to stare at Daehyun with a look of disbelief on his face. When he finally noticed this, Daehyun looked at Young Jae before chuckling a bit. “What?” (DH)

“W-W-Why’d you do that?! I-I… You almost kissed me!” (YJ) Daehyun raised a single brow as he resumed the same position that he had been in before. With a sort of bored look, he ate another fry before shrugging.

“Almost, but I didn’t.” (DH) Young Jae continued to have a look of disbelief on his face, but he quickly looked down at his food as his face began to redden, if it hadn’t already. It was still far too close for comfort! How could Daehyun be completely okay with that? “And it’s only a kiss if you count it as one.” (DH)

Looking back up at Daehyun, Young Jae stared at Daehyun in confusion. He had hoped that he would get further explanation as to what Daehyun meant, but it was evident that Daehyun was far more interested in his food as opposed to explaining what he meant. Letting out a small sigh, Young Jae pouted a bit as he looked back down at his food. Did that mean it was okay if they kissed as long as he didn’t count it as one…?

Daehyun was just a confusing person.
