Krystal’s Pov

Outside the movies

“So I’ll get the tickets for us,” Onew said as we walked up to the ticket booth.

“Onew you don’t have to buy mine. I’m happy to pay for myself,” I insisted.

“Really it’s not a big deal. Just let me get it,” he said.

“Actually I just got yours,” A.J. said walking from the booth and handing me the ticket.

“Right thanks. I forgot I gave you the money earlier for it,” I lied.

“Then just wait while I get mine,” he said slightly rolling his eyes.

Once he had moved far enough away I turned to A.J.

“Can you behave?” I whispered.

“I couldn’t let him buy your ticket. I want it to be clear to him this isn’t a date.”

“I think you being here gave him that message loud and clear. But we still have to get through this, and be civil. So just calm down.”

“What is this movie about anyway? What kind of name is ‘Safe Embrace’?” she asked.

“A very epic teen romance. It’ll move you I’m sure,” I teased.

“Ugh, really? A romance? Why did you pick this?” she groaned.

“I didn’t, he did.”

“Probably trying to get you to cry on his shoulder. He’s such a-“

“Ah stop. I don’t want to tell you again. Play nice. I know it’s awkward, but you have to deal.”

“Fine,” she sighed.

“And I like seeing a romance movie every now and again. It may be unrealistic but it is still nice to see two people fall in love. Don’t you think?” I asked touching her arm.

“I guess. But I don’t think ‘Safe Embrace’ is any ‘Romeo and Juliet.”

“No, you’re right.”

“So ready to go inside?” Onew asked appearing again.

“Yeah,” I said dropping my hand from her. 

He walked over to the door, and opened it.

“Ladies first,” he said emphasizing the word.

I walked through and turned to see A.J. hesitating. 

“A.J. are you going to stay there?” he asked. “I’m trying to be a gentleman.”

She took a breath and walked through. Oh this was such a mistake. I can tell how angry she is. 

“Do you want any popcorn Krystal?” he asked.

“No thanks. I’m not hungry. The movie is about to start,” I said moving quickly to the theater door.

Once we were all inside I found seats quickly in the middle. I sat down, and then A.J. next to me. And I thought he would just sit on the other side of her, but he passed in front of both of us, and sat on the other side of me. I could tell that A.J. was about to say something so I grabbed her hand. I tried to calm her without speaking, and without him seeing. We sat back in our chairs, but I still held her hand discreetly. The credits started and the theater got darker, and I finally felt some relief from the stressful situation. Halfway through the movie she wasn’t satisfied with
