The second day of New Years

Someone Must Have Been a Good Girl This Year

The girl was sitting on the couch in the living room idly flipping through TV channels when the doorbell rang. Huh, I wasn't expecing anyone today she thought as she went to answer the door. dropped open as she saw who was standing on her front porch, unfortunately wearing a shirt this time but still looking drop dead gorgeous was her Christmas present, Taeyang.

"Hello Pretty One, we meet again" he said smiling.

"Uh, hello. Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" she asked, pinching herself. Taeyang laughed.

"Didn't Seunghyun Hyung tell you yesterday? And may I come in? It's kind of chilly out."

"Oh sorry. Yes, come in" she said, blushing as she moved to let the hunk of Korean hotness get in the door. "And no, he didn't say anything yesterday when I was unwrapping him from the Christmas lights he was tangled up in. Of course, I fell asleep afterwards when he was massaging my head because of my headache. He did leave a note, but it only said he'd see me soon."

"That bingu" Taeyang said fondly as he shut the door behind himself. "Well Pretty One, remember your Christmas elf that sent me before via Santa? And remember me saying we couldn't all fit in the sleigh?" At her nod, he continued. "Well, it's been arranged that you have us for New Years instead. The first twelve days of New Years to be exact. Today, I take you to lunch. So, go put on something warm and pretty and I'll take you wherever you want to go." Looking down at her loungewear in embarassment, she quickly ran upstairs to pull on skinny jeans and the pretty sweater she'd gotten for Christmas. As she ran a brush through her hair and applied lipgloss she couldn't help but squeal to herself. Not only was Taeyang here again, she was going to get twelve whole days of BigBang? Did she save the world and forget or something?

The girl ran back downstairs. Grabbing her shoes, coat, and purse, she looked at Taeyang, who was again smiling. "All set?" he asked. At her nod he said, "then let's go! You'll have to direct me though." He held the door for her as they left.

The girl couldn't suppress a squeak of surprise when she saw the car he was driving. A mint condition classic Trans Am, in the prettiest shade of burgundy she'd ever seen. "Like it?" he asked, opening the passenger door for her. She nodded. "Good. Your elf just happens to have an older brother who is willing to let his baby sister, or her let's say friends borrow his things. Now where to?"

She directed him to her favorite local restaurant, which was open enough that everyone would be able to see exactly who it was she was having lunch with. A lot of her friends were also BigBang fans, and frequented the place, and she couldn't help but want to rub it in their faces, just a little. When they arrived, Taeyang acted the perfect gentleman, holding doors, taking her coat, pushing in the chair he'd pulled out for her. After the waitress had taken their order, they fell into easy casual conversation. Taeyang was just laughing at a story she'd been telling him about something that had happened at school recently, when there were loud squeals of "OMG IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS?" as suddenly they were mobbed by a small horde of her schoolmates. Ever the gentleman, Taeyang was charming, shaking hands and signing autographs, til he said, "excuse me girls, but I'm rather busy, enjoying the company of this young lady here. Perhaps next time?" Gently, he shooed them away, not without hearing a few envious "how did she ever get so lucky?" grumbles. He chuckled and returned to their conversation, which didn't slow down even when the food arrived.

After lunch, which even included her favorite dessert, he escorted her back to the car and drove her home. "I'm sorry we couldn't make this a longer visit, but I must be getting back. I'll see you in a few days" he said, sounding a little sad as he dropped her off at her front porch. Lightly pressing a kiss to her lips, exactly as he'd done on Christmas, he left, waving goodbye. She wasn't sure how long she stood there, frozen like an idiot before she shook herslef back to reality and headed inside. She couldn't wait for tomorrow's surprise.
