Luhan walking lifelessly towards the stair and climbing it slowly. All of his dreams and his hope has crushing down before his eyes mercilessly. Seeing the two lovebirds just now has made his heart burning on fire and heartache. He just can’t believe that the two already has a child. So, all these years, he’s waited for nothing. He came back for nothing. He’s gripping the stairs-holder tightly, until the green veins emerging out of his milky skin. He drags his legs before a voice stopping him from continue his walk.

“Luhan?”

His dad calling out for him from behind while keeping his both hand inside his pockets. Luhan turns around and gulping down his saliva.

“Papa? You still didn’t gone off to bed yet?” Luhan slowly walking down the stairs and walks towards the old Lu. He just smiling while leads his only son into the library without any intention to answer Luhan’s question.

From Luhan’s view, his Papa still in his shirt and didn’t change to PJ. Guess he’s over working again. At the sight of it, deep down, his heart clenching because his Papa still work even his age at the age where he should rest, playing with grandchildrens, in order to support their living cost. He sighed heavily at the thought of that before his father motioning him to sit on the leather couch in the mini library.

Mr. Lu pouring down some alcoholic drink into a glass and handing it to his son. Luhan gladly accepts it but later he placing down the glass on the table. He let his father take his time before confess everything to him. He’s ready to hear it out.

Mr. Lu takes a deep breath and sipping his drink before slumping down on the couch, opposite from Luhan.

“I have decided, Han. I’m gonna give this position to you. By hook or by crook, you have to accept it whether you like it or not.”

After his father finish his statement, he’s lowering down his head as his shoulder slumping down too. He doesn’t have any other option other than accept it even he doesn’t want it.

“But, Papa. You still can hand it to Wu Fan though, he has experienced working there and he also one of the heir. This company was inheritance from your great, great grandfather.” Luhan pleading his father even he can already guess what will be the answer of his question.

“I know Luhan! I know! But I’m still not fond over him because of his father. Who knows one day of his father comes back and he’s willingly to hand over the company to him? That is the reason why he married my sister though. He wants to sweep all of our properties.” Mr. Lu accused without investigated the fact first. Luhan only could shaking his head because of his father’s behaviour.

“I don’t have any idea why did you said like that Papa. I’m admit that neither Kris nor his mother want tell us about him, but at least, we shouldn’t accused him just like that. Maybe, he got his own reason to leave. Kris didn’t ever said that he hate his father though even sometime he’s really longing for it.” Luhan calmly speaks, in order to calm the old Lu. But he just receives a scoff from the old man.

“Enough with this issue. I still firm with my decision. I want you to be the next president. And few weeks ahead, I will hold a ceremony for you, I will introduce you to all the shareholders and relatives. Make sure, starting from tomorrow, get your in the office and get to know all the employees that’s gonna work under you.” Mr. Lu speaks in firm tone while throwing a stern look towards his only son. All he ever could hear is Luhan’s sighs. He does not have any other option.

Luhan only nodding his head with a heavy heart.

“Did you meet her?” He quickly raising up his head after a question about her slipping off from his father’s mouth.

“Pa..pa.. H-how did you know? Y-You know that I’m searching for her? Y-You didn’t hate her right Pa? Please say that you didn’t hate her Papa, please Papa, please.” He pleading Mr. Lu with his pathetic face as he kneeling in front of the couch.

Mr. Lu just chuckles looking at his son’s reaction before he pull the young man to stand up. “She have something that you need to know.”

“Wh-what is it?”    “Just find her first you pabo. Be quick. And don’t forget to go to the office with me tomorrow!” With that Mr. Lu leaving the young Lu alone in the dim light library.

She has something that he has to know?

Jessica putting some of the night cream on her face while perming her hair manually. Kris were laying on their king size bed while flipping a magazine, his wife’s magazine. She’s eyeing her husband through the mirror and he looks bothered by something. Then he put the magazine on the drawer and draws his arm, covering his eyes. He’s trying to sleep.

“Ben Ben, are you okay?” Jessica pulls her towel and let her brunette hair dry by itself. She hanging the towel before walking up to her husband who didn’t answer her question.

“Ben?” She softly poking his arm and Kris quickly removes his arm from his face. He just give her a sweet smile of his that could melt any girls’ heart. But his love only towards the woman who are sitting in front of him. She is his queen and forever be his queen in his heart. He just shaking his head while pulling Jessica to sleep beside him.

But, as a wife and a best friend who have been by his side for few years, it is a mistake if he thought that he could hiding his problem from her. She is his soul mate though. She knew her husband very well.

Jessica sighing before cupping his face, giving a soft peck on his forehead. “You know, you still have me as your listener, Ben. I’m always here.”

Kris nods his head and pulling his wife into his embrace. He’s hugging her, sniffing her fragrance and burying his face at the crook of her neck.

“I still didn’t tell you who is Luhan and how he’s related to Joohyunnie right?” He whispered and earning a nod from his wife.
