(And) With Words Unspoken
If Someone Believed Me"Hiya!" Taeyang chirped, raising a hand to greet her.
"Hi." Seungri smiled at Jieun as the five boys pushed past her into her apartment.
"Hello Jieun." Tabi met her eyes, smirking at her blank stare behind her reading glasses.
"Now that I think about it," G-Dragon stopped in front of her, hand to chin, completing the thoughtful look. "I still don't have the code to your lock."
Jieun snapped out of her shock-induced trance for a minute to mimic his pose. "Now that I think about it, I don't remember inviting you over today."
He gasped, looking offended. "Are you saying we are unwanted?" Before she could reply, he called out. "Sorry boys, it seems we need to leave. Jieun is kicking us out."
A set of awws came from somewhere behind her and she brought her hand up to slap her forehead, "Fine, fine, fine, whatever, I don't care." She started padding back to the spot on the sofa where she had left her laptop smack in the middle of finishing an essay she'd promised to write for one of her favorite college professors, the idols were now lounging around it, turning on the TV, rifling through her fridge for food, and just generally making themselves comfortable. "Do whatever you want."
"Actually," Her best friend said, his voice sugar sweet, "We were kind of hoping you'd make us some soft tofu stew for us."
She froze right before reaching her destination and turned to look at him. Not glare, just stare. He laughed a little through his smile, keeping eye contact with her, already 1000% familiar with her reactions.
She sighed heavily and nodded. "Fine, you're lucky I think I have all of the ingredients already," Were her mumbled words as she spun on her heel, already pulling her hair up into a ponytail.
Jiyong noticed Daesung watching her before she disappeared behind a column, only to be seen again through the window-like space above a counter that separated the dining room from the kitchen. One of the things Jiyong had favored when seeing this apartment was how open it was, rooms flowed into each other and made the common area feel like one space. Before he could ask his friend what was wrong, though, he spoke.
"You know, I think the only women I know that I see without makeup on a daily basis are my mom and Jieun," His squinted his eyes, as if thinking.
Taeyang laughed, "What about your sister?"
"As if!" He replied. "The only times she doesn't have makeup on are when she's sleeping, and I tend to avoid her when she's just waking up."
