The nurse gasped and ran to Daesung's side.

" Daesung-ssi. Can you hear me? Make a sound if you can hear me. " The nurse said to Daesung, while she frantically shook him,

pressing the emergency button calling for the doctors.

"Daesung ssi. Where are you hurting? Please show a response." The nurse continue shaking him but he was just curled up, hands

pale white in the same position. Soon, doctors started flooding into the room, leaving a bewildered Chaerin sitting on the chair. 

" Mr Kang, we are pushing you to the operating theatre right now. Please relax." One of the doctors told him.

 
"Whe-where are you taking him?" Chaerin asked, voice still visibly shaking.

" We suspect an infected tissue had been left in Daesung's hip area. Please keep calm and follow us. We need you to sign the consent

for emergency operation" the doctor told Chaerin, expression hidden under the blue mask.

And just like those scenes in the drama, Chaerin found herself running alongside Daesung's bed from the fast-pacing the doctors were

walking at.

Chaerin looked down at the pale-faced Daesung and hurriedly said a silent prayer for all things to turn out well.

Outside the operating theatre, they slowed down and told Chaerin " You can't go in. Go back and rest if you want. "

With that, they wheeled Daesung into the operating theatre.

Chaerin heard the sound of the wheels getting softer and softer and finally nothing when the doors closed. The words "operation in

process" lighted up with a blood red colour.

Jiyong heard the commotion outside and was jostled awake. He lifted the curtain of the window and his entire heart sank when he saw

a team of doctors pushing the pale Daesung past Hyori's ward. And was that Chaerin with them?

A pang of guilt hit him like an arrow. Memories of Daesung filled his mind. 

-flashback-

"Hyung! You okay? I saw the news..." Daesung held Jiyong's hand, face filled with worries.

"I'm okay. How did news spread that fast? Kiko and I...are over now." Jiyong said softly, voice barely a whimper as he tried to stop the

tears that were welling up his eyes.
 

" Aish hyung~~Don't be sad, I will be here for you. Me and all the other hyungs, even the maknae. Don't worry too much." Daesung

smiled and hugged his hyung.

" Thanks Daesung ah. My lovely dongsaeng.." Jiyong said as he buried his face into the shoulders of the younger.
----

Jiyong rushed out of the ward and saw the backview of the white-clothed doctors and the blonde haired girl.

He wanted to go there, to find out what exactly happened.

But the embarassment held him back.

He saw Chaerin walking to the row of seats outside the operating theatre, and slumping into a seat, face buried into her hands.

Daesung...wasn't he alright  just earlier today? What's wrong?

His heart was in his throat and he walked towards Chaerin. 

Just before he could reach her, a doctor came rushing out of the operating theatre and whispered something to Chaerin.

Chaerin immediately sat up and followed them inside.

He took a step forward but stopped dead in his track.

"No, I can't do this. I have hurt them both enough." And with that, he turned around and prepare to walk back to Hyori's ward.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a man clad in black, wearing a sunglass over his eyes and he was giving a crooked smile

towards the direction of the operating room.

He spoke into a phone, seemingly reporting it to someone. Jiyong heard him chuckle and the man turned around to leave, turning

behind a wall.

Jiyong was disturbed.

He remembered YG telling him about how Daesung and Hyori were abducted by assasins.

Assasins..they were killed in that explosion.

That could only mean that...

There are more. 

More...

The word rang through his ears and his eyes widened in horror. He turned his head and stared at the wall the man was last seen at.

It  can't be that... someone wants to kill Daesung? 

No way....
