Daesung woke up in an unfamiliar place.

The whole room was white in colour and he wondered if he was already in heaven. The beeping of the

machine told him otherwise and he looked around him.

"How did I get here? " he wondered and his vision picked up a blonde girl lying against the side of his

bed, deep in sleep.

As if she knew that Daesung woke up, Chaerin stirred in her sleep and woke up, rubbing her eyes.

"O-Oppa, YOU WOKE UP?!" Chaerin shouted happily and hugged him excitedly. 

"Yah, you are crushing my bones Chaerin ah" Daesung told her and smiled.

Daesung tried to sit up but the sudden movement caused an excruciating pain that shot up straight

from his legs and he slumped back to his lying position, groaning in pain.

" Are you okay? You just had an operation so try not to move around." Chaerin told him. 

He sighed and he suddenly remembered someone.

"Hyori noona...how is she? Is she okay?" Daesung asked her.

"Hyori sunbae? I didn't hear anything from the doctors...why? Was she with you?" Chaerin asked him.

Just then, doctors and few nurses came into the room and was pleasantly surprised to see Daesung 

well alive and awake.

"Daesung-ssi, welcome back. We thought you wouldn't make it out alive, but you did and it is a

miracle considering the amount of injuries you had. You are currently in a high-dependency ward

and we can shift you to a normal ward right now, so-" The doctor's words were cut off by Daesung's

question.

"Where is...Hyori noona? Is she okay?" Daesung squinted his small eyes at the suspicious doctors and 

nurses.

" She is...okay. Just that she needs more time to wake up. " The doctors explained carefully to

Daesung, not wanting to aggravate his condition further.

"Have a good rest, Daesung-ssi. We would check on you further, and for your information, this

young lady paid for all your medical expenses." The doctors said, pointing at Chaerin. 

They left the room before Daesung could ask anymore questions and Daesung sighed.

" Thank you so much, Chaerin ah." Daesung told Chaerin, smiling at her.

Before Chaerin could even reply, the door burst open, and Jiyong stomped in.

Chaerin gulped. She had nearly, momentarily forget the pain he had brought to her. And now, here he

is, standing right infront of her.

Jiyong didn't even realise Chaerin was there and just went straight up to Daesung and grabbed his

collar.

"What did you do to her?! What did you f-cking do to her, that now she is in a coma?" Jiyong

shouted at him.

"Co-coma? Noona...is in a coma?" Daesung whispered to himself, not even caring that Jiyong's

fingernail was pressing down hard on one of his bandaged wound on his neck.

Jiyong wanted to say more things but he finally notices another presence in the room and turned to

look at the person.

His raging eyes soften and he slowly let go of Daesung's collar.

"Why are you here? Sh-t, your presence seriously annoys me." Jiyong told Chaerin, rolling his eyes.

"I...I..." Chaerin stuttered and kept looking at the floor, as if the floor had gold pieces.

Daesung reached out his hand and held Chaerin's hand firmly in his and said," Hyung, why are you

doing this to her? She being here has nothing to do with you, isn't it? Who was the one who dumped

her in the first f-cking place?! "

Jiyong was shocked by Daesung's sudden outburst and retreated out of the ward.

Daesung turned to look at Chaerin, who was still looking down, hair covering her face.

He was still holding Chaerin's hand and he tugged on her hand, motioning for her to sit down.

Chaerin sat down, head still looking at the ground. Her vision is blurred by the tears welling up in her

eyes.

The pain was coming back to Chaerin, she had been distracted for awhile due to Daesung's

condition but now it is back, and it is piercing through her heart.

Daesung let go of her hands and swept Chaerin's hair off her face. he saw the tears that were

streaming down her face, some dripping onto the floor. He sighed and told her softly " Chaerin-ah, it

is painful. Trust me, I know the feeling better than you do. But trust me, it is going to get better for

you as time passes by." 

He was not sure if Chaerin could see through his lie. It is not going to get better. But that's the only

thing he can comfort her about.

Yet, the tears didn't stop. Chaerin was bawling by now and her body shook with the overwhelming

emotions. 

Daesung slowly sat up and sat facing Chaerin. He moved his position such that there is an empty spot

next to him and pulled Chaerin next to him.

He put an arm around her shoulders and patted her shoulder from time to time, and said " It's okay.

Just cry, you will feel better." 

Chaerin cried with her hands burying into her face, tears dripping through her fingers. She tried to

muffle her cries but to no avail.

Daesung suddenly thought about Hyori and wanted to go and find her, he wants to know how she's

doing but another person soon comes into his mind, Jiyong. He sighed and forced a smile, trying to

remind himself that Hyori was far better off with Jiyong.

His heart ached when the memories resurfaced, the memories were always there, just that he had

tried ways to bury them down. But now, the muffled cries of Chaerin reminded him of the first day he

found out about Hyori's love affair... in that alley.

As if she knew that Daesung needs comfort, Chaerin turned around and hugged Daesung, head

burying into his chest. 

Daesung rested his chin on top of Chaerin's head and wrapped his arms around her, letting the

emotions get to him and soon, tears were streaming down his face.

Warm tears dripped onto Chaerin's scalp and she knew that Daesung needs comfort also and

rubbed her hands in a circular motion on the back of Daesung.

Both of them knew, at that moment, that there is someone, truly someone who cares about them in

this world. And that person is the one they are holding to at that point of time.

Whew...that was really heartaching. I really felt the emotions writing this. There wasn't supposed to be

an update and I am supposed to be studying right now.. but ohwell HAHAAA I just felt like writing so I

did.
