Normally, when the news settles in, and YongGuk knows that you aren’t going to call the mental institution, he tells you the dangers of knowing this stuff.

It was years ago, when JunHong was first… converted I guess… That one of YongGuk’s fathers workmates decided that the technology needed to become more widely available to others since it worked. However, as JunHong displayed the disadvantages and flaws of the procedure, it became more and more unlikely that the current age of technology was ready for such procedures to be widespread.

They shut down any further testing after JunHong’s glitch showed. But there were a few who thought they could help their relatives with the technology, converting certain aspects of them into androids. YongGuk’s father, when he found them, cast them out of the science world and took what he could of his research and technology away from them.

He burnt what he could, all the stuff that could be used against them,  all the things that could go wrong, but kept the majority to help JunHong survive his new life. When Natasha was old enough she took over the project, then YongGuk did when JunHong came. In order to keep it all safe and away from those few who wanted it to become public even though it wasn’t yet ready.

Over the years, YongGuk, HimChan and JunHong have had to move because those scientists are still after the plans, the research. They want JunHong, who, because of YongGuk, only has one error in his system now. One flaw that those scientists don’t see as major. But if it were to get out, it could cause mass destruction.

That’s why we need to protect JunHong, why we need to keep him safe and keep his secret. We can’t let anyone know that we know where he is, that we have the plans. Because if we do… It will cause a lot of chaos.

DaeHyun

The plan YongGuk came up with was a simple one to understand. All YoungJae and I had to do was create a distraction while JunHong snuck through the back with JongUp to get JiEun. YongGuk and HimChan were going to call the police and be the getaway car. HimChan didn’t like the idea of one of us being a distraction – which I volunteered for – so YoungJae decided that he would join me too.

It didn’t take us long to drive to the outskirts of the supposed place they held JiEun, and YoungJae and I still didn’t really have a plan of action. So when we entered through the front gates on foot I stopped him to tell him the first thing I could think of.

“I will pretend that I am JunHong and you can just be you, they know what YongGuk looks like; just say you came with me because you wanted to make sure JiEun was safe okay?”

He doesn’t look at me, just nods and keeps moving. In the centre of the property is a large shed, one that is usually used to hold assorted large collectors’ items, like small planes and old cars. YoungJae reaches it first and I can feel my stomach twist with nerves. This is so dangerous, why is he even here, he should let me do it alone…

He pulls the door open and gestures for me to follow him inside.

“Did you bring the android?” A voice says from somewhere inside the shed, it echos everywhere making it hard to pinpoint where it’s coming from.

YoungJae nods, “I’m the android.” He shouts as I arrive at his side.

“What?” I whisper next to him. He just grabs my hand.

“JunHong? It’s been a while since I have seen you. You aren’t as I remember.”

“No. I had to have a few alterations.” Jae says again, and I squeeze his hand.

What the hell are you doing? You’re meant to be here for moral support not take my role…

“I see… And who is the other guy?” the voice calls.

“This DaeHyun. He is here to make sure that JiEun gets home safe, without you following them.”

“That’s right.” I say, my voice wavering. We still can’t see this guy, he could be anywhere, he has the upper hand… What are we even doing?

My gut twists and turns, and I feel like throwing up. I just feel like something is going to go wrong.

“I see. Well I have one last question before I hand the girl over.” I hear footsteps echoing from all around us. The two of us look around frantically trying to see where this person will step out from.

“Will you bleed, JunHong?”

Before I could do anything, it was too late.

JongUp

JunHong didn’t really need me. YongGuk just thought it was a good idea that we stay in teams, it gave HimChan a better piece of mind I think. But then, YongGuk had quietly mentioned to me that there was also the chance that JunHong would need me to get JiEun out of the building before anything serious happened.

“Just keep close and stay quiet, okay Hyung?” JunHong mutters to me as we skulk through the spans of junk that is kept around the shed. I don’t even bother giving him an answer, I know what is good for me at least. I just hope JiEun is okay.

“I think I have found a way in.” JunHong starts weaving faster through the trash and I follow him trying my best to keep up.

We end up at a large open window. JunHong gestures for me to stay down while he has a look inside. I nod and stay as close to the wall as possible, if we are caught we are so dead. If it weren’t for the fear that JiEun could be hurt I don’t think I could do this. I am not an action guy. I just like action movies and dancing. I don’t want to die…

“I can see her, we can sneak in, grab her and leave. We’ll be fine.” JunHong smiles at me, and places a hand on my shoulder. “Hyung when we are done with this, let’s go and get ice cream okay?”

I nod, smiling. “Let’s.”

“I shall get chocolate.” JunHong whispers, before he starts climbing through the window. Once he is in, he holds out his arms for me to jump into him. We manage to stay hidden from sight where we both land and it is a struggle, but we manage to make our footsteps soundless as we move through boxes and boxes of stuff toward where JiEun is tied to a chair crying.

JiEun doesn’t take long to notice us when we get close enough, I simply hold a finger up to my lips and she nods. JunHong moves to untie her and I stay look out.

So far so good.

I jump slightly when JiEun’s arms wrap around me and she whispers a soft thank you as we head back towards the exit. Crawling back the way we came towards the window, JunHong in the lead and JiEun in the middle.

Thankfully we manage to get out of the window without being noticed, or spotting anyone for that matter. And I feel like I need to comment on that but that is until I hear JiEun scream and feel an immense pain shoot through my head and feel myself against my will fall to the ground. 

A/N:: My sincerest apologies for the wait for this chapter. I have been sufering from writers block and some other stuff when it comes to this fic. I just didn't want to write the ending, or have to deal with how it must end... But hopefully I can write the last chapter faster than this one. I apologise for leaving it for so long, and I apologise again for leaving it as I have... But all will be revealed in last chapter that will hopefully be up in a few weeks depending on my schedual and how I go with my writers block.
