Back In The Office

“So, are you guys going to continue this for real?” Krystal asked, frustration building up inside of her.

Taecyeon slightly loosened the grip on his phone as he gently sighed. “I don’t know.”

“Taec why are you letting Jessi do this to you?”

“Don’t talk about your sister like that,” Taecyeon gently reprimanded.

“No as in, I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just… This is just… It’s wrong, alright? I’m not saying that she’s the one doing all the wrong things, because…well because you’re letting her. No actually, you made it happen. I’m not trying to say that you’re the one at fault too. God I don’t know what I’m saying I’m just—”

“Krys,” Taecyeon interrupted. “Do you want Jessica to break up with Taeyeon?”

“No,” came Krystal’s reply before she even knew it. When she realised it, she quickly tried to add, “As in what I meant was—”

“Then do you want me to divorce your sister?”

The younger Jung froze while she stared blankly into space. She sure didn’t expect Taecyeon to spring another question like that. She swallowed her saliva, and then pressing her phone a little harder to her ear, she muttered, “I…”

“We all know who really deserves her, don’t we?” Taecyeon spoke up sadly.

“No Taec listen. It’s not about who deserves her or not. If I were to be blunt, maybe…maybe Jessi doesn’t deserve you Taec… It’s not that she’s bad but you’re just… You’re too nice.”

“Maybe I can continue being nice like that. Maybe things won’t change.” Maybe I’ll still get to see her, Taecyeon thought.

“Seriously what’s the point?” Krystal began to raise her voice. “Jessi only sees one person and that’s Taeyeon so what’s the point exactly?! Why are you letting yourself get hurt when you—”

“You said it.” Krystal’s kept quiet immediately as a few seconds of silence lingered on the other end through the receiver. “She sees only Taeyeon. Maybe the point is, I see only her. I see only Jessica, Krys.”

Jessica barely entered the room that was previously her office, and she didn’t take further steps because she was awed that it looked like it was obviously still her office. She let her eyes wander around the room as the memories surged back into her mind. A small smile crept up on her face before she finally moved to take a seat at her desk. Times like this, she had the tendency to forget that she had ever left for the States, that she had once abandoned Taeyeon who loved her so much, and whom she loved so much.

The door suddenly swung open with a click and Jessica’s eyes widened in shock. When she registered the familiar face of her company’s janitor, she couldn’t help but to smile as she quickly stood up.

“Aunt Mikyung!” Jessica greeted delightfully.

Mikyung took a few seconds to acknowledge the fact that the chairman who had been gone for a few years was suddenly back in front of her. ”Jessica…?” She was one of the few who would address Jessica by her name because the girl just refused to respond when she called her by ‘Chairman’. Jessica never told her that it was because more often than not, Mikyung acted more like a mother should than her own blood-related mother.

Before Mikyung could even take a step forward, Jessica was already two steps from wrapping her arms around the woman. However, the girl had to stand where she was when Mikyung raised her hand to stop the girl.

“What…?” Jessica asked, confused.

There was a slightly displeased look in Mikyung’s eyes. “How many times did I tell you not to touch me because I’m at work?” Mikyung never allowed the girl to do so because she felt that she would be too dirty, but Jessica never understood that.

Jessica let out a defeated sigh and then she crossed her arms and pouted. “I don’t get to see you for a few years and you won’t even let me give you a hug. For goodness sake the chairman is asking for a hug but she can’t even get one.”

Mikyung couldn’t help but to shake her head and laugh at how much Jessica looked like a child right at this moment. She warmly looked into Jessica’s eyes before she replied, “Then bring me for a meal or something. Outside of work.”

Jessica only grinned like a little child, but she was always a little child in Mikyung’s eyes. “Okay! I’ll bring you to the most expensive restaurants here and guess what, you can’t reject me because you denied me of a hug just a while ago. You either agree to it now, or I’m just gonna hug you whether you like it or not.”

“Little brat.” Mikyung narrowed her eyes at Jessica. “Okay, I’ll go to wherever you want me to. But I’m going to have to go do my work right now before I get fired and you’ll never get to see me again.”

“But I’ve only seen you for what, less than ten minutes…” Jessica whined and then she pouted.

“Stop that pouting thing that you like to do so much. I’d love to sit down and talk to you and hear about all your stories after you left but I really have to do some work. Don’t be a child now. You can be a child when we go for our expensive meal.”

“Okay… Don’t overwork yourself Aunt Mikyung!” Jessica then flashed a toothy grin and Mikyung only bowed slightly before she exited.

Some things really never do change, Jessica thought.

Jessica found herself grinning non-stop as she took the elevator down to a certain level. No one would be expecting her, not like she cared. But Taeyeon would not be expecting her, and that was the whole point.

When she arrived at the level, she carefully checked her surroundings to ensure that Taeyeon would not catch her. A mischievous grin showed up on her face when she caught sight of Taeyeon working hard at her computer. As cautiously as she could, she made her way nearer to the glass separating the office and the lift lobby. However, she narrowed her eyes when she saw Sooyoung rolling her chair over to Taeyeon’s side. Just why in the world was Sooyoung always so interested in Taeyeon? Jessica internally scowled.

A sudden smack on her shoulder caused Jessica to jump before she spun her body around, only to realize that it was none other than her own sister. Unknowingly, she let out a sigh of relief but an annoyed frown showed up on her face.

“What is wrong with you Jung Soojung? Are you trying to give your sister a heart attack or something?” Jessica scolded.

Krystal only smiled at her sister’s reaction, and then she asked cheekily. “Why are you snooping around here for Miss Jung?”

“I’m just—” Jessica unknowingly pointed her thumb towards Taeyeon but she retracted it as soon as she realized it. “I’m supervising.”

“Supervising my .”

“No I don’t want to supervise your .”

“Stop stalking Taeyeon unnie, Jessi. You’re such a ert.”

“Seriously how is this stalk—” Jessica turned her head towards Taeyeon as she retorted but she stopped abruptly when she noticed that Sooyoung was looking at her. Just before Sooyoung could tell Taeyeon about Jessica, the girl quickly waved her hand before she held her index finger to her lips. Fortunately, Sooyoung caught the hint in time and went back to her desk instead. “If she notices me you’re so dead you idiot.” Jessica threw an arm around her younger’s sister’s neck and lightly strangled her before she pulled her along to the lift.

“Wait Jessi where do you wanna go?” Krystal asked as she resisted.

Jessica released her hold only when they were both in the lift. Pressing the level to Krystal’s office, she finally let go. “You aren’t going to your office right? Can I borrow it?”

Krystal only frowned. “What do you want again…?”

“Can I please?” Jessica sported the pout that Krystal swore she hated the most.

“Okay, okay. Do whatever you want but please just stop that pout. It’s so disgusting.” Krystal rolled her eyes. “Oh and, promise me you’ll go talk to Taec tonight.”

For a moment, Jessica’s eyes flickered but she managed to let herself stay unaffected. “Okay, I promise you. Can I use your office then?”

“As long as you don’t break your promise.” Jessica nodded, just as the lift reached the level. Krystal cupped her sister’s cheek and gently her face with her thumb. “Because you’re my one and only big sister, I’ll always be with you no matter what decision you make, okay?” Jessica gave a small smile and then she nodded again. “Okay I’ll probably go visit one of our clients so you just go alright?”

“Okay. Drive safely.”

“Right, see you soon sissy.”

At Krystal’s desk, Jessica pondered over for a while what she could tell Taecyeon that night. Whatever it was, she decided to first call him.

“Hey Jess,” Taecyeon answered within seconds.

“Taec. Um, I just need to know what time you’ll be home tonight? I kinda have something that I want to discuss with you,” Jessica replied with slight nervousness.

“Ah… I’ll be working late tonight you see. But I figure I’ll be back by around ten? You won’t be sleeping that early tonight right?”

“Yeah I can wait.”

“Okay then I’ll see you at home?”

“Oh anyway, I was thinking of showing Taeyeon our house if that’s okay with you? She’ll be gone by the time you’re home.”

“Yeah sure it’s fine with me. She can stay even when I’m home Jess.”

“Okay, don’t overwork yourself Taec.”

“I know.”

“Bye.”

Jessica almost hated how much guilt she held towards Taecyeon, and how Taecyeon just wouldn’t stop being nice to her. Before she would drown herself in the guilt, she decided that the talk and the guilt could wait. There was no point worrying about it now anyway.

Jessica took in a few deep breaths, letting herself calm down. Then, Taeyeon just popped up in her mind all of a sudden, and she found herself at least smiling a little. Taeyeon had always been her comfort.

Finally, she picked up the office phone and cleared as she dialed Taeyeon. When the connecting tone sounded, Jessica’s heart was beating hard with excitement and mischief. Before long, the other end answered the call.

“Hello?”

Trying her best to imitate her sister’s voice, Jessica spoke into the phone, “Taeyeon unnie, can you come to my office for a little while?”

“Oh, okay. Anyway are you okay? You sound a little weird.”

Jessica internally giggled before she replied, “Yeah I’m okay. May have caught a cold but I’m fine. Come on up.”

“Alright see you in a while.”

Jessica couldn’t keep still as she waited impatiently. Ten minutes after, the knock that she was waiting for finally sounded. Trying her best once more, she responded in a voice as similar as Krystal’s that she could, “Come on in.”

The door swung open and Taeyeon’s jaw dropped before she could even say a word.

“Hi Taeyeon,” Jessica greeted cheerfully.

Taeyeon snapped out of the trance as she closed . Then, she closed the door behind her and then she asked, “What are you doing here Jessica?”

Jessica didn’t reply. Instead, she stood up and made her way towards Taeyeon who stood where she was. Taeyeon eyed Jessica as she walked until she was right in front of her. Jessica gently cupped the girl’s cheeks and then semi-consciously, Taeyeon swallowed her saliva. As the chairman leaned in towards Taeyeon’s lips, the girl suddenly spoke up, “Jessica we’re in the office.”

Jessica stopped right before her lips touched the girl’s. “So?”

Swallowing her saliva for the second time, she replied, “People are gonna see us.”

“The glass is frosted.”

“People might come in.”

Jessica gazed into Taeyeon’s eyes. “No one comes in without calling us. You work here so you obviously know that Taeyeon.”

“Krystal might come in.”

“Krystal is out.” When Taeyeon ran out of doubts, Jessica smirked. “Do you still have anything to say? Because to be honest, ing you in the office sounds really hot and I can’t wait any longer.”

Taeyeon would deny it if she could, but she wouldn’t be able to lie to herself that Jessica’s words had just turned her on, very badly. Before she knew it, she crashed her lips into Jessica’s. Jessica was slightly shocked but she grabbed the girl’s waist in an instant to return the kiss as fiercely as she had received it.

As their tongues shared a fiery dance, Jessica subtly pushed Taeyeon and swung her around until she reached the desk. Smirking, she bent Taeyeon over so that she was on top of the girl who could then lean back on the table with her legs on the ground. Jessica let one of her hands wander to the first button on Taeyeon’s blouse, and then with a smirk, she asked, “So what do you say? Office , yes or no?” Before Taeyeon could reply, Jessica slid her other hand up the girl’s skirt and gently brushed her fingers across the fabric. Taeyeon slightly shuddered at the contact and Jessica realised that the fabric was already wet. Automatically, Jessica grinned. “I think I got myself an answer.”

“Were you always so ?” Taeyeon teased.

“I don’t know about that, but I’m telling you right now that I’ll you at every chance I get. You can consider that making up for lost time.” Jessica dived straight for Taeyeon’s neck before the girl could say anything more. Her impatient hands ed a few of the buttons on Taeyeon’s blouse and then she yanked the blouse down so that Taeyeon’s arms were trapped at her sides by the blouse.

Slightly tilting the edge of Taeyeon’s bra, Jessica let her tongue swivel around the older girl’s and then hard on the hard bud, causing Taeyeon to arch her back as she let out a husky moan.

Mrs Jung frowned as she flipped through the documents in the lift at Blanc Group. How did Krystal manage to make such a careless mistake? She closed the file with anger when the lift arrived, at the level of Krystal’s office.

Gosh, it's been more than a month since I last updated this story? I'm so sorry for that. I've been busy and I'd thought that I'd have more time but it doesn't seem like it at the moment. I'll do my best to bring you what I can. As for this chapter, I'd been stuck for a while and all of a sudden, inspiration came and one chapter wasn't enough for me to write it all. So for now, write me something first because I missed you guys and of course, I'd love to know what you think of this chapter. :) Personally, one of my favourite moments might be Jessica-Mikyung interactions because we finally get to see that little girl side of Jessica that she had never shown anyone, maybe even Taeyeon. What is yours?

I read this story by Chaos_tenshi the other night named 'Countdown to Midnight' and I was bawling my eyes out near the last few chapters of the story. Plus, the author has written some sort of a sequel ('CtM: Half Past Twelve') so what I'm saying is, if you like my stories, you're gonna like his/her stories even more so you should read it I swear.
