"Aigoo gamsahamnida!"Jaein bowed as she acceped a plastic bag, inside a big bowl in it. "Ahjumma, thankyou very much!"

 

She was that same ahjumma with deokbukki stall where EXO boys and Jaein had deokbukki last time. So called ahjumma smiled wide. "Aiwoo it's okay!" she her face. "Yeppeun girl, pass wishes from my side to Jongdae, okay?"

 

 

"Ah yeah, sure!" Jaein bowed once again and bid her.

 

 

It was D-day. That means it was christmas and it was Chen's birthday.

 

 

Convincing Jongdae to stay out of Cafe for a time being while EXO would prepare for surprise was really hard. He wouldn't just snatch his from his chair but however, they managed to send him off somewhere for grocery after a long try.

 

 

 

And there was Jaein who was about to be back to Cafe with seaweed soup in her hands. As we know, seaweed soup is the most impoprtant in birthdays.Because she was incharged for soup in accordance with plans, she had to go to ahjumma for it. Seaweed soup? It was new to Jaein though she had watched it in some dramas and movies. She was in korea since some weeks. You cannot just expect her to cook, you know.

 

 

 

But EXO boys did. They ordered her to made the soup which was way out of her league. Jaein even tried with lots of recipes method but the taste turned out weird for which she ended up asking ahjumma to cook it who seemed close to jongdae.

It was christmas too. Hence, Cafe was full pack. Jaein and other workers had to do double work. They had to feed customer as well had to prepare for Jomgdae's birthday.

 

 

It was tiring for EXO boys too as they were busy preparing too.

 

 

"Yaa yaa yaa everybody!" Baekhyun grinned as wide as he could. "Decoration work is almost done!"

 

 

 

Everyone diverted their interest to the decoration of Chen's office (or room). Nothing much was done. Simply, some pink ballons were pasted on every sides of wall and a big banner was pasted with the message "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM JONGDAE! DON'T EVER FORGET THAT WE LOVE YOU A LOT!" Glitters were shining, like the beautiful stars.

 

 

"All we  need to do is prepare cake and food  now!" said Chanyeol, blowing one last balloon."I am hungry! I want food!"

 

 

 

"No worries!" Jaein peeked from.the door. "Everything is ready!"

"Sehun ah!" Chen shouted as he placed the packages of groceries down on the table. "Guys where are you!

 

 

 

As planned, Suho called Chen and informed Sehun fell off and was badly injured which was fake obviously. Chen who was lazily buying cherry suddenly rushed towards cafe when Suho gave him call.

 

 

 

Chen was now wandering here and there shouting every members name in concern. He saw no one and nothing. No cutomers. No exo boys. No Working teams. No one. It was dark. He phoned all the memebers but no one picked up.

 

 

His heart sinked. It was his birthday. Unlucky day to and if possible to others too.

 

 

 

He tensed up. He checked everywhere except his room to which he was heading now, his hanhs were busy messaging. Guys where are you? Where is Sehun? How is he?

 

 

He opened the door of his office room. It was dark completely.

 

 

 

And when he swirched on the lights.

 

 

 

"TADA!" EXO boys and Jaein's team shouted. "SURPRISE!"

 

 

 

Chen's face fell and silence took place. "What?" he said in vain. "Surprise?" he took off his mask and cap at a time. He seemed to tired, very. He walked near too sehun and touched his body slightly. "Are you okay?" he asked.

 

 

"Yes hyung!" sehun beamed. "I am not hurt anywhere. " he showed off his body. "We deceived you to give surprise, you know!" sehun scratched his head shyly and gigled. "Sorry! And Happy birthday hyung!!"

 

 

"Thats a relief!" Chen couldn't control his body and he passed on his knees. Jaein was standing5 inch far from Suhen when some of exo boys were standing on sofa and some near the door along with Linna and Jun holding ballons and banners togther on their hands.

 

 

Jaein immediately ran  to Chen when he couldn't stand on his leg while sehun caught his hyung. Others too joined simultaneously.

 

 

"I thought something happened for real." he gasped.

 

 

Jaein was very near to Chen. It was the first time, she got to see the Jongdae's face without mask and glass. She tilted her head to see Chen's face's profile properly. Was it that attractive? She couldn't help but stare at his face to which Chen avoided and tried to stand up when he accidentally met his eyes with hers.

 

 

Why does he cover that pretty face? Jaein thought and helped Jongdae to stand up. Somehow his face seems to be similar.

 

 

Chen gulped when he watched his hands holding by Jaein. But then Jaein freed his hands and turned to look at exo boys. They might be pretty faced too. She thought again blowing raspberry on her cheeks. Are they covering their face because they are too handsome?....aai whatever!

 

 

 

Little did she know, they were members of trend group EXO.

 

 

"You okay now?"Joo myeon asked as he passed him a cup of cold water. "Do you think you can murder cake now?"

 

 

Chen nodded but whinned. "But you guys shouldn't have deceived me!" he folded his arms as he was pretending to be mad. "I got shocked for real, you know!"

 

 

"That was what we wanted!" Baekhyun interfared.

 

 

"What do you mean?" Chen asked still folding his arms.

 

 

"Deceiving you inorder to get shock!" Chanyeol said hugging the neck of Baekhyun. "And surprising you!"

 

 

"That's not even logical!" Chen blurted.

 

 

"But we--"

 

 

"Aish! Can you guys stop talking and join here now?" Jaein stood infront of the boys, balled fists on her waist. "Let's get started."

 

 

"Nae!" Baekhyun, Chanyeol and suho saluted teasingly and pulled Chen towards the cake, followed by Jaein.

 

 

 

 

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JONGDAE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

 

 

 

Room was now filled  with happiness. Chen cut the cake and gave a bite to everyone (blished while trying to feed Jaein). He slurped the seaweed soup happily and complementing daebakk for the super good taste of it for which Jaein got praised for bringing it from Deokbakki Ahjumma (chen blushed this time too).

 

 

Jaein was smiling all the way when Jongdae happily ate everything. It was worth working hard today.

 

 

Now, it was the segment of gift session. One by one everyone took out their's precious present and handed to Chen who was happily replying thankyou and thankyou continously and aswell opening the gifts.

 

 

Sehun gifted him a luxurious watch, Baekhyun and Chanyeol together a set of dino dress, Jongin a camel printed T-shirt, Kyungsoo a pair of nike shoes, Minseok a black jacket. And Jaein's team Jun gave Jongdae a branded sunglass and Linna a cap.

 

 

And Jaein thought it was joke that suho would gift Jongdae shocks but it turned out to be real. He really bought a box of pink shocks and Jongdae was really happy to accpet it. And aswell there were some other boxes of gifts which was said to be sent from China? Jaein didn't care that as she was nervous to hand her gift to him.

 

 

Everyone gifted him useful things even Jun and Linna but what was her? A toy? Jaein frowned and the tightened around the bag in her hand increased.

 

 

"Noona!" Jun poked her. "Ain't you giving that to hyung!" he said, pointing the bag on Jaein's hand.

 

 

"Oh!" Jaein chirped and bit her lips. "Here!" she handed it to Jongdae hesitantly and Jongdae accpeted hesitantly too more like blushing? He couldn't help but blush everytime around Jaein. He thought of not opening her gift infront of everyone so he grabbed it on one hand and trying to lift other gigts on other, he was about to pick up other gifts when suddenly Minseok tapped on his arms.

 

 

"Not revealing her present?" he teased.

 

 

Minseok knows Jongdae is attracted to Jaein.

 

 

"I was about to say that too!" kyung soo retorted.

 

 

Aish these guys! Jaein cursed mentally and bit her nails.

 

 

"Aw i forgot!" Jongdae pretented like he really forgot but opened it anyway.

 

 

"Oh Jaein ah!" Baekhyun laughed which was supported by everyone. "You choosed the daebakk one!"

 

 

"Woah pink dino!" Minseok teased again. "Aiwoo kiyowo!"

 

 

Even Jongdae smiled and pinked.

 

 

You teasing me? or you liked it? Jaein wanted to ask but beared it and sheepishly laughed along them anyway.

 

 

"Heheh!"
