SNOW QUEEN
I: FROZEN HEARTSI hadn't noticed how silent it had gotten, not until I looked up and found myself being stared – or more like gawked at – by Mr. Creeper, who stood across me, his hand stretched towards me, holding my bag.
“Would you look at that?”
I arched a brow at him and twisted my current expression into one that showed how confused and bewildered I must've been right then and there.
“What?”
“You do know how to smile.”
I immediately frowned deeper. Smile? Did I? I scoffed before clearing my throat, started to bend down and fix my things up.
“Okay, you wanted to hear this, right? Here you go then – Thank you. Thanks for saving me back there. I know I might actually sound totally insincere but as a matter of fact, I am sincere. It just doesn't show. There, done.”
The moment he mentioned about me smiling, I didn't know what came over me but I felt aloof all of a sudden.
As if he had something he could use against me whenever he wants to, now that I didn't only owe him once – back when I hurled my bag at him countless times as a poor excuse of self-defense after accusing him of eavesdropping – but twice, after the stunt he pulled off and the scene he caused just to save my bag.
I actually owed him more than twice already and all of those took place in just one night. I don't wanna get more
