Her outfit was plain and simple as she wore red and orange button up shirt with a pair of dark blue jeans to top it off. Taeyeon headed over to her kitchen and made herself some coffee. It was normal for Taeyeon coffee everyday as her addiction started when she was in college. 

Taeyeon glanced at the clock.

8:32 a.m.

She got up from the table and poured the remaining coffee she had left in the sink and left the kitchen. Grabbing the stuff she need, she headed out. She reached for the car keys in her pocket and opened the door. Taeyeon opened the back seat door first and put her stuff down and then opened the other door.

She got in and placed the key inside the hole to turn it on. Even though the day was early, the sun was coming out behind the mountains. She had no choice but to get the sunglasses in the compartment. After everything was set and ready, she stepped on the pedal.

Taeyeon looked up at the sky while driving and couldn’t help but to notice that the building she was going to was really big and tall. Turning left and into the parking area, she went up to F floor to park her car.

Grabbing the stuff from her back seat, she walked towards the elevator that the parking lot provided. The elevator came and she pressed a certain floor.

Since the building she was in was quite big, it took about 5 minutes to reach her destination.

*DING*

She stepped out the elevator and was surprised to see how many people where there waiting. Waiting to be interviewed.

Taeyeon took a seat along with the others and waited for their turn.

Guess everybody wants this job.

There was about 5-6 people ahead of Taeyeon and it wasn’t before long that it was Taeyeon’s turn to be interviewed.

“Hello.” greeted Taeyeon. She took a seat in front of 3 people. 2 guys, 1 girl.

“I assume your Miss Kim Taeyeon?”

“I am.”

“Let’s have a look here.” one of the guy‘s said, “Graduated from University of Seoul with a PHD on Biomedical. Interesting…”

The people there asked Taeyeon a couple more questions before thanking her and asking her politely to leave the room. They told Taeyeon that they’ll contact her if she gets the job.

Flashback

“You will be a scientist in Hwang’s Med Corp and work your way up. It could take you years to reach the level, but it’s your responsibility to do whatever it takes to find out what their up too. We will provide you with everything you need including a house, car, daily supplies and other stuff that is required for you to complete your mission. During this time, you will only contact me and only me. Other contact during this period is prohibited. Do you understand Lieutenant Kim?”

Taeyeon stood up from her chair and saluted. “Yes sir!”

End of flashback

Days have passed after the job interview that Taeyeon attended at Hwang’s Med Corp. She was crossing her fingers, hoping that she gets that job because her mission is determined on that job.

It was a typically morning for Taeyeon as she got up 9. After changing and brushing her teeth, she would usually go on her laptop and check her emails.

She looked through the ad emails, notification emails and other junk emails, but one email caught her attention…

Congratulation! From Hwang’s Medical Corporation sent from 8:26 a.m Aprill 8^th.

“Hello Miss Kim Taeyeon. You received this email because you have successful joined our corporation. Your talent was beyond our minds so we’ve chosen you to be our new scientist.

The department you will be working in is the S building. We will have a greeting package on your desk so you’ll know which desk is yours.

In order to get your lab coat and ID, please visit the front desk in the building and show them this email. Please be ready to have your ID ready too.

You will start tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. precisely.

We can’t wait to see you there.”

Taeyeon smiled at the email.

Even though HMC was a big company, Taeyeon doesn’t like to wear a business shirt with a business coat over it with black slacks. That just wasn’t her style. 

She dug through her closet and found the clothing she needed and started to change. Her outfit was simple. Dark jeans, a simple shirt with a scarf with a pair of black converse. She grabbed a toast and cup filled with coffee and headed out the door.

Arriving at HMC at 7:00, she walked towards the front desk.

“I’m here to pick up my lab coat and ID?” asked Taeyeon politely.

“Okay. What is your name?”

“Kim Taeyeon.” replied Taeyeon.

“Can I see your ID Taeyeon-shi?”

Taeyeon dug through her purse and grabbed her wallet. Inside her wallet was her ID card. She took it out and show it to the employee.

The employee glanced back and forth at the computer screen to Taeyeon’s ID.

“Ok Taeyeon-shi. I’ll get your lab coat and ID right now.”

“Take your time.”

The employee dialed a number and ordered someone on the phone to get lab coat and ID. During this time, Taeyeon looked around HMC as she paid attention to the details. She can easily see many security cameras in the corner. On the left was a place for visitors to sit. If you walked inside the building more, you can see 6 elevators, 3 on each side. The building was built with marble so it gave off this rich feeling to it. Well, HMC is one of the largest medical producer in South Korea after all.

The employee finally came back with the lab coat and the printed ID for Taeyeon.

“Here you go Taeyeon-shi. This is your lab coat and as you can see, HMC is printed on the top left corner. Your ID is here with you also. You must wear this ID whenever you’re in this building to prevent misunderstandings from security. Also, every employee gets its own locker where they could put their belongings at. The locker room is on floor E. Your locker number is 325 and here’s the pin.” The employee then gave a paper to Taeyeon. “Welcome to Hwang’s Medical Corporation Taeyeon-shi.”

“Thank you.”

Taeyeon then left the front desk and walked towards the elevator. Once she inside the elevator, she pressed the ‘E’ button for the elevator. Even though Taeyeon has been in the building before, she couldn’t help but to be ‘awe’ at how many floors there are in the building. They have 60 floors just for medical research.

Finally reaching her destination, she walked out and went towards the ladies locker room. Inside was nice as it smelled clean. She walked around for a while before she found her locker. Taeyeon took out the pin the employee at the front gave her and start typing it in.

5 6 2 7 was her pin.

It was an electronic lock which showed how hi-tech HMC is. Once the locker was unlocked, she grabbed her glasses out and wore them before putting her purse inside the locker including her coat. After putting the stuff away, she put  on her lab coat that printed HMC name on the top left corner and put the ID tag on her lab coat. She checked herself out on the mirror for a second before walking away.

I want to clarify this that story is sort of a mix between like I said in the foreword 'Ruse of Engagement' and another show called 'Orphan Black'. For OB, I didn't use the storyline, but I used sort of a person's personality? Because whenever I typed Taeyeon's personality out, I was sort of basing it on one of the characters in OB because I love her so much. Do you know which one I'm talking about? 

Also, the storyline is going to be completely orginal, hopefully. I might breakdown trying to like create fighting and evidence scenes ._.

As school is coming to an end, finals coming up also. My updating schedule will probably be the same as its usually Saturday or Sunday. 

A new story, meaning new journeys...are you guys going to stick with me to the end? :]?
