The Story of UsChapter 0 – It’s started with a kiss
Lee Seungri staggered in his steps, dragging a half-conscious woman by the arm along the hallway. Sometimes he stopped to catch a breath and after ten minutes battling in sweats, finally he halted in front of a closed door. He swiped a card on the door and the LED flickered a green light. Heaving, he continued to haul the woman into the room and he threw himself and the lady onto the king size bed.
He breathed in deeply and let out a heavy sigh. He glanced up to the woman who was fast asleep on the bed and rolled his eyes. Inhaling a few more air, his eyes shut down naturally. His best effort to bring her to a safer and more comfortable place had taken a toll on him.
He was dead tired.
The girl was tossing around in her sleep and without opening her eyes; she pulled up the blanket onto her body and rolled to the side. Alcohol had won over her as she tried to patch up her broken heart.
1o’clock in the morning.
Seungri blinked a few times and automatically, he brought up his wrist to glance at the time. His brain was quick to remember the details on where he was and hurriedly, his eyes wandered to his side where a girl was supposed to be. But he found none.
The bed was empty.
He opened his eyes wider and he scanned the room while sitting up. He glanced around. To the closed door, to the bathroom, and the wardrobe.
Where is she?
He strained his neck around the dim of the hotel room and finally he saw her silhouette behind the billowing of white curtain. Rubbing his eyes with his hands, he walked wobbly to the window.
“Close the window and get back to sleep. You might catch a cold. Just sleep a little more, that will help you sober up.”
The girl stared into the open sky, totally ignoring his words. Maybe she didn’t hear it, or maybe, she just didn’t care.
“The sky is so beautiful tonight and the moon….it’s shines so…bright,” she mumbled as she smiled, looking up onto the darkness.
“Lee Chaerin-sshi,” he called out with a yawn. “It’s 1 o’clock in the morning. And I don’t really care how the moon looks like. Just get to sleep…” he said while stifling another yawn.”…I’m sleepy…and tired.”
Chaerin pressed her lips together and shot a glare at him. Her eyes were back to the moon again in an instant.
