Oh god, this day can’t go any worse, can it?

I mean, being fired, banned, and rejected in a single day is too much. How in the world would I support Jongdae and appa now? I can’t let appa receive less health care to reduce the cost nor do I want Jongdae to stop going to school too. Somebody please tell me that this is all just a nightmare. Somebody please slap me and bring me back to reality. Please!

But, reality is reality. I just hope things will go up now. They say if all else goes down then the next thing you’ll know is that you are going up.

Though a lot of things have been bothering me, I should smile especially in front of my father, I wouldn't want him to see that I am having trouble, it will only make him feel that he is a burden to me.

I’m in the hospital right now, I’m accompanying appa while he is being checked. I was asked to step outside while he undergoes some tests

*phone rings*

Cho Kyuhyun calling...

I swiped to answer

[annyeong hasseyeo Kim Taeyeon unnie] Kyuhyun oppa answered while faking a cute little girl’s voice

“yah, that voice doesn’t fit you!"

[aish… you’re so serious… wae?]

“it’s been a bad day” I said and heaved a sigh

[tell me about it]

“do you remember Park Chanyeol?” I asked. Well, Kyuhyun oppa is the closest male friend that I have. He is older than me by 2 years. He is like a real brother to me and Jongdae

[oh… the guy you were crazy about?] he teases

“oppa” I whined

[hahaha, arasseo, arasseo… ok, shoot, I’m serious now]

“I met him again today”

[jinja? But how come it’s a bad day?]

“well, he got me fired and jobless in one single day because I broke a frame in his house and I somewhat trampled on some flowers, which were all by accident”

[what?! Seriously?! He’s changed, huh?]

“yeah… I can’t believe he changed so much… He is not who I think he was… I mean, he is so harsh and heartless… How can he just order everyone around to fire me in all my jobs?... what kind of a man is he?”

[he must have a reason. and what do you expect Taeng? seven years is too long, people change]

“Can’t he just buy another frame and grow some flowers again? He is downright rich…”

[aish... do you want me to pull some string? I can get back at him for you] he offered, but I knew he was joking. Because even though Kyuhyun oppa is a very rich man and has a lot of connections, he is a good and humble person. He doesn't do things out of just his whims.

“Nah, don’t worry…”

[but, how can you support teacher Kim and Jongdae now?] oh, did I mention that appa was his music teacher?

“I can manage… I’ll find ways to support appa and Jongdae… I’ve been the breadwinner for years now… I’ve found ways to survive with those years”

[does teacher Kim know?]

“Ani, appa doesn’t know, he shouldn’t know. His condition will just go worse if he finds out…”

[Tae... what if we—] I cut him off seeing that the doctor was coming

“Oh, I have to go… The doctor is coming”

I quickly hung up and greeted the doctor “good afternoon, doctor!”

“Kim Taeyeon ssi” the doctor starts talking

“yes, doctor?”

“your father has not been responding to the medicines and so, it is important for him to undergo surgery soon”

What did he just say?

“surgery?”

“yes, a surgery is needed”

Oh my, a surgery?

“how much is it doctor?”

“you may require a range of a million to a billion”

“mianhe, Taeyeon ssi” the doctor tapped my shoulder and left

My knees felt weak and I fell onto the seat. Without noticing it, my tears started to stream down my cheeks. I wiped it off. But it still continued to flow. They just won’t stop. Suddenly, a pair of shoes came into my vision. I looked up to see who it was.

Oh god, what does he want this time?!

“Kim Taeyeon ssi”

“what?! What else are you going to do?! Ban me from this hospital?! What?! Tell me!” I wasn’t able to control my frustrations and emotions anymore and so I vented it on him, the root of my pain. He just stood there for awhile

“So, you’ve got nothing to say huh? Then I better leave” I said as I stood up, trying to walk away. But before I could take a step, he grabbed my wrist

“Kim Taeyeon” he calls out again

“What?!"

"marry me" he orders as he looked into my eyes.

I was speechless and stunned with his statement. Did I hear him correctly?

He  heaved a sigh and  explained, “I’m not here to deliver you bad news”

“oh, really?" I asked sarcastically, completely ignoring his previous statement, because I really just misheard him.

“in fact, I’m here to offer you a job… a better job” he stated.

I furrowed my eye brows

“a job? You must be joking, right?” I spat at him

“ani… I really am here to employ you” he retorted

“employ me? Employ me as what?”

“I’m employing you as my wife” he answered flatly

My jaw literally dropped at his statement. So, I really did hear him right awhile ago?

“what?!”

“don’t worry I’ll compensate you for your services” he flatly answers

“are you out of your mind?!” I questioned

Seriously, I think anyone who would say such thing is out of their mind. And clearly, Park Chanyeol is. He wants me to be his wife? He wants me to marry him? He's crazy. No wonder he got me fired from all of my jobs

“nope” he answers with a grin

Now, I really think I am having a nightmare.
