THIRD PERSON

Three men in suits were seated in a room drinking coffee and were discussing business matters, personal business matters. Two of them were the well-known owner of Korea’s two biggest entertainment companies

“everything is according to plan” Lee Soo Man spoke in a joyous manner

“exactly! I never thought that he would abide to us” Park Jin Young agrees

 “yeah, it indeed is a  surpise. He was never the obedient one”

“just like his parents”

“it’s all thanks to your bright idea boy” LSM complimented the boy who was with them who just smiled and remained silent. The boy is in his mid-20’s and has a generally beautiful face.

“now, the board can finally agree in making Chanyeol the CEO of the two companies”

“yes, now that Chanyeol is showing that he is taking responsibilities they can now put their trust on him”

The two elders were smiling happily when suddenly the third guy spoke

“as long as you keep your end of the deal, I will continue looking after Chanyeol”

The older men nodded in agreement

“but, we should watch out for the drawbacks of this action” the younger  warned

The two shot him a questioning look

“it is for the best if they would fall for each other, but worse comes to worse they won’t and will divorce in the future one of them will probably hurt” he explains further

“I suppose you are right, we must make sure that love will bloom between them then” JYP remarks

“but the way I see it, someone is already hurting” LSM commented

“what do you mean?” the third man in a suit asked

“is it Chanyeol or Taeyeon?” JYP

“either… you know who I meant boy… Sehun…”

CHANYEOL

I heave out a sigh as I stare at my phone resting on my palm. Checking it every now and then for messages. I am not waiting for a certain text or whatsoever, I just have nothing else to do. I have no schedule today. I purposely freed this week because she told me that this week will be for publicity.

Not that we really need it since news has been buzzing all over the country that I am getting married. The news started as rumors after I bought a diamond ring before the incident at the café. Then it was later confirmed by some people who overheard us at the café. The media didn’t get a clear picture of Taeyeon until last night when Kris released the invitations.

We were supposed to appear together at the boutique where she bought her gown but she suddenly cancelled it last night.

*beep*

I excitedly swiped the screen to unlock my phone only to be disappointed and read Kris’ message

From: Kris Hyung

Msg: Board meeting tomorrow, 9am

-end of text message-

What a boring person! I bet this person wouldn’t even want to hang out with me today based on his text. How about Sehun? Ah, that little boy is busy being a doctor I can’t disturb him. I shoved my phone into my pocket as I decided to head out to the gym. I can’t go to the mall because fan girls might go crazy and so will the media, so I better go to the gym where only members can exclusively come in. Who knows, I might even spot beautiful ladies there.

The gym is one of the places where I usually meet girls. But, I don’t really intend to meet girls today. I just want to distract myself and to keep myself from being bored. So, I decided to head to the gym.  As I walked through the gym, girls would giggle and check me out.

“as long as we are in the state of ‘we-are-in-love-with-each-other’ you cannot publicly flirt with other girls, understand?”

Taeyeon’s voice rang to my ears, reminding me of our terms and conditions about our marriage deal. And her voice stopped me from flirting with the girls who were checking me out, instead I just smiled politely at them for a little fan service. I started to pump my muscles when suddenly a familiar petite woman came up to me and greeted me

“Chanyeol ah! I see you haven’t changed your gym yet”

“ah yeah, I can see that you didn’t change too Minah” I answered

“well, I am glad I didn’t” she smiled as she answered back

JONGDAE

I’ve seen the news over the internet and TV,  and so did my friends. Baekhyun and Kyungsoo, my best friends are pretty much curious too, especially Baekhyun because he has this little crush on my noona. I wanted to ask her last night but she immediately locked herself in her room as soon as she arrived.  And now that its morning she seems out of it. She seems to be in a trance. She’s out at our balcony looking outside with her arms crossed on her chest. I approached her and hugged her from behind

“noona, is something wrong?” I asked

She turned around to hug me but still remained silent

I ran my hands through her hair trying to soothe her

“Jongdae ah” she called out while remaining in my embrace

“dae?”

“you heard the news right?”

I nodded

“what do you think of it?”

“honestly, I was shocked. You never spoke about having a boyfriend but I do remember the name Park Chanyeol coming out from your friends’ mouth every now and then. But it is all too sudden” I answered

“do you hate noona?”

“why would I?” I asked freeing myself from her hug and faced her

“because I didn’t tell you”

“nah, I would never hate you noona. And besides, it’s about time that you allow someone else to take care of you” I explained but her face still doesn’t brighten up

“wait… are you having second thoughts right now noona?” I asked and she nodded her head slowly

“wae?”

“I don’t know, I’m kind of getting a bit scared… I don’t want to leave you and appa…” she answered as she walked into our apartment and sat on the sofa. She was hugging her knees

I kneeled on the floor in front of her and held her hand

“noona, you aren’t leaving us… you’re just extending your horizon… just remember noona, what matters most to me and appa is your happiness… as long as you are loved and you are happy with this Chanyeol, we will be happy too…”

“but---“

“don’t even think about worrying about me noona, I am big enough to take care of myself. And I promise you that I will be a doctor, I will make your dream come true”

“gomawo, Jongdae ah” she hugged me once more

“ara, ara”

Noona hugged me for a few minutes before she decided to call Chanyeol.

“unattended” she flatly stated

“try calling him again” I suggested

“he probably has some schedules today, I better go on my own”

I thought marrying a celebrity was great, but now I don’t think so. I actually pity my noona.

“well, noona… the famous Kim Jongdae will accompany you then” I announced as I pulled her off the couch

I accompanied my noona around, for her gown fitting, final preparations for the wedding hall which includes the food. But, even with my presence and all the comforting words that I said my noona still did not brighten up. Afternoon came and Minseok hyung, the manager of the café where I was working suddenly called, telling me that there was an emergency.

“noona, mianhe… but there seems to be an emergency at the café”

“I’ll take this chance to go and see where you work then Jongdae ah. So, I will go with you to where you work!” she tried to sound livelier

“well, if that’s what you want then let’s go!” I announced as I placed her hand on my arm and lead her to the café

For the rest of the day noona stayed where I was working. Some people asked if they could take pictures of her, being polite, she just allowed them.

“I have to say, you’re noona really is pretty and simple” Minseok hyung remarked. This is the first time that he saw Taeyeon noona in person.

“she isn’t all just that hyung, she also is very smart and talented” Tae noona’s number 1 fan boy, Baekhyun added

“but, too bad boys… she’s already getting married in a few days” Kyungsoo reminded them. All of them heaved out a heavy sigh including Kyungsoo

“yah, stop looking at my noona… leave her alone” I shooed them. They all scrammed to where they should be including Minseok hyung who went back to his office.

I looked at Tae noona once more. She was staring at her engagement ring intensely. I wonder what’s going through her mind

THIRD PERSON

Taeyeon and Jongdae went home after Jongdae’s shift. Upon arrival a call from Chanyeol suddenly came. Taeyeon immediately answered the call without second thoughts

“hello Chanyeol?” Taeyeon greeted with a smile

"you called this morning?" Taeyeon frowned upon hearing his response

“dae, why didn’t you answer?”

"oh, I was at the gym and I bumped into a friend. We chit-chat for awhile" Chanyeol purposely didn’t mention Minah’s name. He was practically hitting himself for completely getting engrossed in their little world awhile ago. He admits that Minah still has an effect on him, but not that much anymore. You can call it ‘a moment of utter stupidity

“so why did you call awhile ago?” Chanyeol asked erasing the growing silence

"ah, I just wanted to tell you that I was about to head out for my final gown fitting this morning"

“mian, I wasn’t able to accompany you”

"it’s okay, Jongdae was with me"

“Jongdae?”

"dae, my dongsaeng"

“ah… was that all?”

"dae"

“so, I’m hanging up now?”

"ok, bye"

“bye”

TIFFANY

Jongdae called me yesterday saying that his noona was acting weird. So, I decided to hang out with the girls today and my agenda is to talk to Taeyeon and keep her head straight.

I was at the mall when Jongdae called, trying to shop for my wedding gift for Taeyeon when suddenly, a pair of figures came across my line of sight.

Park Chanyeol and Bang Minah

I saw them laughing together as if they were some pair of good friends who didn’t have a painful past together. I was about to storm there and pull out Minah’s hair when suddenly a giant blocked me from doing so

Wu Yifan

Park Sojin’s loyal dog and Park Chanyeol’s best friend. Yes, I know him. Not because we went to the same high school but because he has been my childhood nemesis.

“what do you want face?” I asked

He raised his eye brow

“if you’ve got nothing to say then step aside because I still have some hair to pull” I growled

“I beg you Tif…” did I hear that right? This freaking face is begging me?

It is now my turn to raise an eyebrow

“please let this moment of Chanyeol’s stupidity slide for now”

“oh gosh, I hate your confidence… you dare to ask me that favor? So that, what? So that Taeyeon will get hurt in the end?”

“if you tell her now she will still get hurt and both of them will be put to shame but if you don’t nothing bad will happen… and besides can’t you just give Chanyeol and Minah a chance to tie loose ends before Chanyeol gets married? I promise you, what they’re having is just a friendly chat”
