Everyone was already asleep but Jihae couldn't seem to fall asleep.

Jihae lifted her knees to her chest and patiently waited for Taemin to come home.

Suddenly the front door opened and Taemin walked in.

Jihae instantly got up and ran over to Taemin.

"Where were you! Do you know what time is?!" Jihae whispered.

Taemin ignored her and continued walking to his room.

Jihae caught up to him and grabbed his arm.

"I'm talking to you!" Jihae spun Taemin around to face her.

Jihae gasped when she saw Taemin's face.

"What .. happened to you?"

Taemin looked away and still kept quiet.

Jihae reached out her hand to touch the cut on Taemin's lip.

Taemin turned his head to look at her but then slapped her hand away.

"Don't touch me. Minho won't like it."

Jihae rolled her eyes.

"Does it look like i care what Minho thinks at the moment?"

Jihae dragged him to the living room and turned the lights on.

Jihae started looking for the first aid kit while Taemin just stood there, watching her.

"Why weren't you sleeping?"

Jihae turned around and glared at Taemin.

"How could i be sleeping when i know that you're somewhere out there this late! Think about it, stupid!" Jihae turned around and started searching again.

Taemin just watched for a bit and suddenly walked over to Jihae.

He grabbed her wrist and dragged her outside onto the balcony.

"What are you doi-" Jihae tried taking his grasp off but he was too strong. "Let go! You're hurting me!"

Taemin suddenly pinned her against the wall and slammed his hand right next to her head.

"You gotta stop doing this to me."

Jihae looked at him.

"Stop doing what? Helping you? Fine. Just tell me without dragging me out here next time."

Jihae was about to walk away but Taemin pushed her back against the wall again.

"I'm not talking about that."

"Then what?! Explain it to me."

"You know exactly what i'm talking about."

Jihae laughed sarcastically.

"Do i? Do you really think i do?"

Taemin stopped talking for a second.

Taemin's POV

What am i telling her to stop ? What am i exactly doing ?!

Wait. Do i .. ? No i can't. I don't.

I don't. I don't. I don't.  I don't. I do? Do i?

NO.

oh my god. What am i getting myself into .. ?

"Well do you?"

Taemin's attention went back to reality and he looked at Jihae's confused face.

"Do i what?"

"Do you really think i know what you're talking about?"

"I don't know! I just said it without thinking!"

"Well, wasn't that smart?"

Taemin glared at Jihae.

"Arguing isn't going to help fix this."

"Do you honestly think i waited until you came home, just to argue with you?"

They didn't say anything to each other for a long time.

Just looking at each other. Trying to figure out each other's expressions.

Taemin slowly started leaning his head towards Jihae.

His face was only few cms away from Jihae's.

But he wouldn't go any closer. He didn't know what was stopping him.

Jihae looked at Taemin straight in the eye.

"I know you won't do it."

Taemin started to feel angry at her comment.

"Watch me." Taemin tried leaning foward but stopped himself again.

After a few attempts Taemin gave up and scratched his head in fustration.

"Whatever." Taemin pushed himself away from Jihae and walked back into the house.

Jihae stayed still until he was in his room. After she heard the door click shut, she slowly slid down the wall and grabbed her chest.

Her heart was thumping like crazy.

Not because she was excited or happy. She felt confused and scared.

Jihae started breathing heavily and tried calming herself down.

Jinki was on the other side, leaning against the wall that Jihae was leaning against.

He heard everything that Taemin and Jihae said to each other.

He couldn't help but have this weird feeling. His chest was becoming tighter and tighter.

He looked down and grabbed his chest.
