Jihae squinted her eyes and leaned closer towards the white board. She honestly could not see anything.

I should get my eyes checked.

Jihae looked to her right and saw the girl next to her, studying hard. Jihae tried peeking over to copy some things.

The girl quickly looked at Jihae then covered her work and continued copying.

Damn.

Jihae couldn't peek over to the person in front of her because they were too faraway anyway.

The bell for lunch went off. Everyone moved to their friends or other classrooms.

Like every other day, Taemin quickly grabbed his lunch and went over to sit next to Jihae.

"Taemin, can you pass me your notes?"

Taemin ran to his desk and grabbed his notebook.

"My notes. are the best." Taemin handed her his notebook.

Jihae was about to take it when Taemin lifted it higher so that Jihae couldn't reach it.

"Very funny. Give it."

"Only if you do something in return." Taemin grinned evily.

Jihae glared at him but it didn't work.

Taemin poked his tongue out and and shook the book in front of Jihae's face.

"Fine! Fine! What is it!" Jihae crossed her arms and had her angry face on.

"Come to my birthday party." Taemin smiled innocently.

Birthday party? it's his birthday soon?

Jihae sat up and looked away.  "I don't .. do parties."

This time Taemin rolled his eyes.

"No exceptions. If you want my super awsome notes, you gotta come. Deal?" Taemin sat down next to Jihae.

Jihae looked at him for awhile and realised it wouldn't hurt just visiting him.

"Deal."

Taemin broke into a grin and punched the air. "Yayer!"

Jihae couldn't help but chuckle.

Taemin stopped what he was doing and just stared at Jihae. His face was completely stunned, along with the other people, who were in the room.

Jihae has never smiled in front of anyone else except her mum, so this was a first for everyone.

Jihae realised that the classroom went quiet, especially Taemin. She stopped smiling and snatched Taemin's book and started copying down notes.

Taemin grinned.

"Do that again."

Jihae glared at him. "Do what?"

"You know what i mean" Taemin playfully pushed her.

Jihae laughed then went to serious mode straight away. "No."

Taemin was about to argue back but some of his friends called him to come out. Taemin looked back at Jihae and saw her studying hard. He didn't want to disturb her so he quickly got up and joined his friends.

Taemin went to play basketball with his friends. Jihae looked out the window and saw Taemin laughing and having fun. Jihae couldn't help but smile at him.

Some of the girl students caught Jihae smiling so she quickly looked down and continued her copying.

When Jihae finished copying, she felt like she needed a walk after all that sitting down. Jihae decided to go visit her old spot behind the old building.

She looked around the corner and realised that no one was there. Something inside her just dropped but Jihae decided to just ignore it.

Jihae looked at the spot next to her, the spot Jinki always sat at. Jihae closed her eyes and tried thinking of something else.

Suddenly she could hear 2 people talking and coming closer. Jihae shot open her eyes and looked around. The voices were coming closer and Jihae didn't know what to do so she pretended to sleep.

The footsteps stopped right next to her. A girl voice suddenly spoke.

"Oppa, there's some girl here. Let's go somewhere else."

The guy didn't say anything back and the 2 people just walked off. Jihae sighed in relief and opened her eyes. She could still hear the girl's voice.

"Are you hungry? Let's go eat something, Jinki oppa!"

Jinki?

Jihae stood up straight away and looked around the corner.

Jinki and the girl were walking off. The girl was holding onto his arm and flirting her off.

Jihae didn't want to look at them anymore. She turned back and leaned against the wall.

At the very same moment, Jinki looked back with a hoping expression on his face.
