Sorry it wasn't up sooner but the file wiped and I had to redo the whole thing, but that aside I hope you like it! It was nice to refresh my iKON memory but I'm still not 100% on them so I hope I got the characters right, if not let me know and I'll fix it :)

“Hey Jinhwan, welcome back hyung!” Hanbin called along the hall as he headed over to his locker. Leaning back past his locker door with a princely smile he replied “Hanbin, good to see you bro. How was your summer?”

“Not as good as your tan, I take it the beaches were good to you?” he smirked. With a slight shrug, he decided not to brag knowing Hanbin had stayed home over the holidays. Throwing his bag over his shoulder, an excited squeal from behind him made Jinhwan roll his eyes.

“Oh you love it really hyung, don’t pretend you don’t.” Hanbin teased. Noticing something strange he continued “Hey, there’s one girl who’s ignoring you.” Twitching slightly his act had been beaten “What do you mean ignoring me?” pointing her out to him, Hanbin stepped back to see what would happen.

Walking over to her, he leaned against the locker next to her and smiled “Hi there, I’m Jinhwan. What’s your name?” glancing up at him rather disinterested she mumbled “That Jinhwan is none of your business.” Standing stunned as she walked away, he wasn’t sure if he was impressed or furious. As Hanbin caught up with him he decided to make things interesting “I bet you couldn’t get her to act like the others hanging on your every word.”

Determined to change her opinion of him he set out to at least make her smile by the end of the week. Heading to the first class of the term he slid into the last seat that was free away from the broken air conditioner. As he dug his notebook out of his bag he felt rather chuffed with himself until Minhee walked in. Immediately realising she would have to sit under the eternally icy air con through the winter he found his heart break a little as he watched the realisation hit her.

For reasons even he himself didn’t realise Jinhwan stood up and smiled “Here, take this seat. I’ll sit until the air con.” As all the other girls in the class swooned at his generosity Minhee just stared back with a look of distrust “Why?” while the rest of the class mumbled about how rude she was being he just shrugged “Does an act of kindness really need a reason?” Taking himself to the other seat before she could stop him, Minhee had no choice but to take the seat left as the teacher entered the class.

Once the day’s classes were finished, Minhee began heading up to the library to start her studies. Picking a table by the window the freshly bloomed cherry blossoms gave a beautiful pink glow to the desk as she began studying for her music test. After about an hour, Minhee finally looked up to see Jinhwan sitting across from her “So, your name is Minhee, was it really so bad to tell me that?”

Rolling her eyes, she leaned back in her chair and sighed “Oh what do I have to do to get rid of you? I’m not going to turn into one of your zombies, you’re not going to change my mind about you.” Leaning back returning to his usual cocky self he smirked “Oh… so this is based on a preconception of me is it? Well that hardly seems fair.” As her feeling of disgust returned she mumbled “We go to the same school, we’re in the same classes, how long did it take you to notice me? Oh that’s right, two years and your mate pointing me out to you. Forgive me for not trusting your belief it’s all my head.”

“Minhee, please you misunderstand. I don’t want to turn you into a zombie, in fact the fact you’re not is so beautifully refreshing I would never dream of trying to change that. I’ve gotten bored of being followed by a gaggle of girls so I stopped paying attention and almost missed out on knowing the best person in this school. Please just give me a chance.” He asked almost begging. Much to her surprise Minhee actually began to feel sorry for him… well almost. As she gave him a rather sarcastic applaud she sighed “You almost had me there, you’re a very good actor. But where you couldn’t see me, I could see you. I have seen how you bounce from girl to girl tugging at her heart then discarding her when you’re bored.”

Standing up books in arm she was about to walk away when she turned back and slapped him “And we don’t appreciate being referred to as birds.” Storming out of the library furious that she’d almost fell for his disgusting tricks, she headed home hoping to find somewhere quiet to study.

The following day as she walked into the school with three books in her arm since they wouldn’t fit in her bag. As she headed towards her locker, Minhee found a shoulder appear in her path. The bell rang through the corridors as she looked up to see Hanbin chuckle as he walked away rather pleased with himself. Bending down to collect her stuff from the floor as everyone around her headed to class, it was a surprise to her that Jinhwan appeared picking up the books before helping her up “Are you alright?”

“Hmph, getting your lacky to run into me so you look like a good guy is kinda cheap isn’t it?” she mumbled accepting her books. Looking rather hurt he sighed “I didn’t ask him to do that, I haven’t spoken to him since yesterday morning.” About to question the likeliness of that she found herself being pulled in close to him as he turned her around 180. Hearing a loud crack as he moaned and fell to the floor, she saw he’d been hit across the back with a chair that was meant for her.

“Jinhwan… a-are you okay?” she asked kneeling down beside him. Having never been more grateful for being late to class he mumbled “You’re okay, that’s all that matters….” Helping him to get back onto his feet, Minhee felt awful for believing the rumours she’d heard about him and gently planted a kiss on his cheek.

“Thank you for protecting me… I know I don’t deserve it.” She mumbled. Still feeling rather tender he brought her close and smiled “I couldn’t let them hurt you, I’d never have forgiven myself. I know you hate me but I can’t help falling in love with you.” Swearing she’d misheard him Minhee looked up but immediately saw he was being genuine. Turning a soft pink she whispered “I don’t hate you. The truth is I feel the same way but I’d heard all these horrible things and I didn’t trust myself to be able to deal with it. I’m sorry for doubting you.”

“Ah yeppuna~” he smiled “You don’t have to apologize, but you can make it up to me by joining me for coffee after school.” Slightly surprised he was acting so flirty she hummed “A little presumptuous… but considering you took a chair for me I think I can give you time for one drink.” Pulling her close and into a kiss, Jinhwan whispered “Minhee-ah, please don’t tease me like that.” As she flushed a rose pink she smiled “Fine, yes I will go out with you oppa.”
