Sorry this took so long, I re-wrote this 3 (well nearly 4) times because I wasn't happy with how I'd written Baekhyun but hopefully its turned out okay. I really enjoyed writing this, it was fun to have a frosty character but either way I hope you like it.

As the loud clang of metal on metal rang in her ears, Fira found herself lying in the middle of the road feeling rather bruised. Trying to get herself up, a pair of hands made her jump “Oh miss I’m so sorry, are you alright?”

Pushing him away as she saw the damage that’d been done she gasped “Oh my scooter! What did you do?!” seeming rather confused he mumbled “You walked away from a traffic collision unharmed, surely that’s the take-away here?”

“You’re lucky I’m not hurt or I’d be taking you to court.” She spat still furious that she’d lost her only accessible mode of transport. Clearly feeling guilty the man continued “I’ll happily pay to fix your vehicle and I’ll take you to the hospital to get checked up and make sure you’re okay, I truly am sorry.”

After several seconds of silence, she looked up at him and asked “What’s your name?” clearly surprised by the question he stuttered “Byun Baekhyun.” Softening her look slightly she decided he seemed genuine “Well… as long as my scooters fixed that’s the main thing. I can’t afford to have it broken.” With a heavy sigh he picked up her scooter and took it to the side of the road to clear the way for oncoming traffic until a mechanic could come out to see about fixing it.

After a long day having to deal with broken scooters bruised arms and being severely late for work, Fira finally clocked off. Leaving the building with a huge sigh of relief there was a little surprise waiting for her outside. As she walked towards the brand new scooter sitting outside, a card atop explained:

“As promised, its repaired and like new. I hope you can forgive me.

Byun Baekhyun.”

Not particularly wanting to forgive him she couldn’t argue that it looked like new, in fact it looked better than when she’d bought it but it still wasn’t worth all the hassle it took to get it. Admittedly grateful it had a nearly full tank of gas, she drove herself home ready to forget that day ever happened.

Waking up feeling refreshed, she happily got ready for work. After several minutes of thinking Fira decided that after yesterday maybe walking to work would be a refreshing change. Roughly halfway through her journey she found herself at a set of traffic light she didn’t remember being there, but waited patiently for the lights to change. Once the green man had lit up she began crossing the road but she never made it to the other side.

Remembering nothing after reaching the halfway point in the crossing, Fira opened her eyes to a sterile white room. As her eyes adjusted to the light her gaze fell on a nearby dark shadow. Finding an emotionally drained guilt ridden Baekhyun at her bedside, it hadn’t registered why he was quietly sobbing.

Her attention now returning to where she was, as her eyes drifted left she couldn’t process what she saw “M-my legs…?” instantly looking up relieved that she’d woken up, Baekhyun immediately tried to keep her calm “Hey, it’s okay. Don’t try to move, you’ll be feeling tender enough as it is but you’re in a safe place and being looked after by the best in the country.”

Beginning to feel panicked she asked “Where am I? W-what happened?” as the now all too familiar look of guilt crossed his features she almost knew before he spoke “You’re in the hospital… I-I accidentally hit you with my car and the impact broke your legs. But I’m paying for everything and will personally make sure your looked after and will stay by your side until your healed.”

Almost spitting she blurted “Don’t you have anything better to do than attack me? I mean every time I see you it escalates, I’m not sure I want you anywhere near me. Seriously how can you afford this?” sitting quietly knowing full well he deserved it, his ego was still a little hurt in the process “Really? You don’t recognise me? …well if you don’t want me here of course I will go but I would really like the opportunity to make amends.”

Desperately wanting to send him away, a strange man entering the room stomped all chances of that “Baekhyun, we have a problem. The car parks been blocked off by fans and a few have gotten into the building…” as the man was called away to deal with the situation it finally clicked “Oh…” she spat “You’re from that overhyped over loved boyband.”

As he tried to process what she’d said, the look of hurt became very apparent “You know neither of those things are in my control. Don’t you think I’d like to be able to step outside without having to deal with people snatching at me or throwing things at me or even breaking into our dorm and stealing things?” almost glaring she simply replied “Don’t you think I’d like to be able to step outside.”

“I’m sorry, I truly didn’t mean to hurt you but every time you say something like that my guilt lessens and that’s not right!” he muttered. Still utterly furious Fira replied “Of course it’s not right! You hit me with a car 2 days in a row! Tell me, what did I ever do to you?!” dipping his head even he was surprised by what came out his mouth “You caught my attention like no-one ever had before.”

Having too much to deal with to be able to process his logic Fira let the painkiller do its job as she slowly drifted off to sleep. Waking up several hours later having forgotten where she was, as her gaze fell on the bedside table a smile appeared.

Anemone… for fragility. Gladiolus… for strength of character. Peony… for healing. “How sweet…” she mumbled, then she saw the rest. Yellow chrysanthemum… for a secret admirer “Well is it really secret now?” she muttered trying to appreciate the way it had been arranged. Hibiscus… for delicate beauty. Jasmine… for grace and elegance. Lilac… “…What?”

“Do you like them?” a voice from across the room asked rather tentatively. As she turned to see Baekhyun sitting rather angelically next to the window with sunlight streaming in behind him her smile quickly faded “Oh come on, seriously? Do you really have nothing better to do than sit here and bug me?” clearly having had enough Baekhyun snapped “Well forgive me for giving a damn. I don’t know why I care, or why I willingly sit and take your abuse…” chuckling softly he clearly did as he continued “But seeing you smile just now made my heart race.”

Nearly in tears as a warmth spread across her chest, Fira couldn’t help softening her tone with him “The lilacs in the bouquet, i-is that true?” feeling herself blushing before he’d even answered, she tried to hide it but finding him sitting by her side on the bed made her turn even pinker. As he took her hand, he placed a kiss on the back of her hand making sure to avoid her iv and smiled “Every petal… does this mean you’ll give me a chance?” with a small smile she nodded “Only if you promise to stop driving.”
