'Umi, what. Do. You. Think. You are doing?' Kazuya hissed.

'What I do is none of your business Kamenashi,' Umi said sternly.

'Hello, still dying here,' I rasped out.

'Umi you bastard; what have you done to Jin?' shouted Ace.

'I rescued him you idiot.'

'Well hand him over!'

'No!'

'Umi-san put Jin back and come with us; this isn't something for us to meddle in,' Kazuya tol him.

I felt something like a pin attack my heart and I couldn't help but wince and lean further onto Umi for support: how could Kazuya be so cruel? And what in god's name is he doing with Ace of all people? Did he know that he was a vampire? More importantly, how did any of these idiots find me?

'No, they'll hurt him; or you will hurt him. That's probably why you were sent here, wasn't it?'

What? Who sent him?

'Why I am here is none of your business,' kazuya said with a stoney glare.

'So it is, well if you want him you are going to have to go through me!' shouted Umi.

I felt Umi tense beneath me and looked towards Kazuya to gauge his reaction. Who do they think they are? They are only humans - and Umi could quite possibly be crazy, then again, if Umi didn't kill Matsumoto then where was he. Is there something I am missing here?

'Umi, come back with us now or you leave me no choice,' Kazuya warned.

Umi glanced at me, sat me down against the wall and turned to look defiantly at Kazuya. Meanwhile, Ace frowned deeply and readied himself for a fight as Kazuya did the same. I wanted desperately to do something to stop the fools but my body was in no shape to even properly movevon its on.

The atmosphere grew tense and dark as Umi growled and coild his muscles underneath himself like a cat. Kazuya hissed and mirrored Umi's pose; Ace had his hands clawed and adopted an experienced fighting stance.

Umi pushed off, leaping forward and meeting Kazuya high up in the air. Ace held still like was under orders and Kazuya lunged for Umi's exposed neck. Umi gripped Kazuya's shoulders, spun himself out of harm's way and roundhoused Kazuya in the head. Kazuya hit the ground with a brutal thud but only seemed mildly dazed after receiving the powerful kick. Umi landed gracefully in a crouch and leapt up once more; this time to tackle Kazuya to the ground. Ace twitched as if to move but held himself back. I looked back to the pair on the ground to see Kazuya's nose bloodied, four gashes down Umi's cheek and Umi bearing deadly looking fangs.

Wait, Umi is a vampire?

Ace jumped into action upon seeing Umi's intention and tackled him off of Kazuya's heaving chest.

Umi lashed out and and sliced in three long lines down the side of Ace's neck, narrowly missing his jugular. Ace cried out slashed the side of Umi's chin, drawing a dark line of blood that slowly dribbled down his neck. Umi snarled and bit down on Ace's colarbone with a crunch. Ace screamed and threw his head back, trying to pull the smaller boy off of him by his hair. Kazuya snuck behind Umi and bit the back of his neck, forcing him to release Ace. Umi was a goner for sure; and as my vision faded to black the last thing I saw were two vampires set upon their prey

How hadn't I noticed that Kazuya was a vampire?
