SM’s Headache

Chapter 37

Hannah took a deep breath as she walked in the office going to the receptionist.

“Hi…I’m Mademoiselle’s Hannah…I would like to talk to Mr. Choi please.” Said Hannah

The receptionist’s eyes got really wide. It seems she doesn’t see an idol like her frequently.

“Please wait, I’ll just ask his secretary if you have an appointment.” Said the receptionist.

“I don’t have an appointment…but please tell her it’s urgent.” Said Hannah

“All right, kindly take a seat there and I’ll let you know.” Said the receptionist.

“Thank you.” Hannah walked on and sat by the chair beside Riz.

“Do you think he’ll agree to meet me? Siwon’s father is a big boss here…he’s surely busy.” Said Hannah

“If he doesn’t meet you…we’ll wait here until he comes out.” Said Riz “He’s our first step to help brother in law.”

Right…Riz is right…she has to talk to Siwon’s father…

Riz received a call.

“Oh, excuse me.” Riz walked a few steps from Hannah to take the call.

Will Siwon’s father face her?

Hannah noticed Riz’s shoelace becoming lose. She may trip over.

Hannah walked towards Riz.

“I really need uncle’s help right now.” Said Riz “Yeah…the earliest possible time…yes…thanks Dad.”

And then Riz ended the call. When she turned back, she was so surprised to see Hannah.

“Umm...your shoelace…”  said Hannah

“Oh!” Riz fixed her lace.

“Ummm…Riz, is there a problem?” asked Hannah

“oh…nothing, Eonnie.” Said Riz

“I know you were always the one listening to my problems…but I can listen too…I may not give a sound suggestion to solve it….but I will try my best.” Said Hannah

Riz faced Hannah.

“I’m fine Eonnie, You have enough problems to take care of.” Said Riz

“I know you’re the leader, Riz…but you don’t always have to look strong.” Said Hannah

Riz hugged Hannah.

“Don’t worry Eonnie, it’s not a problem.” Riz smiled.

“Miss Hannah.” Called the receptionist.

“Yes?” asked Hannah

“Mr. Choi is ready for you now.” Said the receptionist

Hannah felt her heart drumming.

“You can do it, Eonnie.” Said Riz

Hannah took a deep breath.

“I didn’t think you’ll want to talk to me again after what happened the last time.” Said Siwon’s Dad.

“I didn’t have the courage to meet you again Sir, But today, I just have to.” Said Hannah

“So, what is this about?” said Siwon’s Dad. “What is so urgent that you have to face me?”

Hannah took a breath of courage.

“I think Siwon Oppa needs your help.” Said Hannah

“If he needs me, he should be the one here.” Said the Siwon’s Dad.

“Siwon Oppa…he knows you do not support his career decisions….it would be too hard for him to go here.” Said Hannah “Also…He’s into too much stress right now…”

Siwon’s Dad faced the window.

“Someone is pushing him to do something he doesn’t want, And she’s threatening to make Siwon Oppa’s friends careers fall if Siwon Oppa does not give in to what she wants.” Said Hannah

“It’s his problem. If he ever quits showbiz because of all the problems…that’s going to make me happy since he can now go back to business.” Said Siwon’s Dad

Hannah felt that bitter anger in her chest.

“It will make you happy? With all due respect, Sir…how can a father be happy to see his son miserable?” asked Hannah “Did you ever think of what makes him happy? Do you know how miserable he’ll end up if he loses everything he has worked hard for?”

“Siwon Oppa…” Hannah can’t stop her emotions pouring out. “Has been working early morning to late nights…putting his sweat and blood, giving his all because he loves his art…he loves acting…He is trying his best to take care of it…And people see that…people appreciates that…But someone is so selfish to get that away from him…to take everything away from him…And Sir…are you going to help her destroy your Son?”

“You know that Siwon Oppa does not want people to push him to do something that is not within his principles…That must be something he learned from you.” Said Hannah “And that’s something I admire.”

Hannah stood up. “Sir…I saw your picture with Siwon Oppa when he was still a kid.”

“He still keeps that.” Said Hannah “I hope you find it in your heart to understand Siwon Oppa…to listen with your heart and not just with your mind…”

Hannah bowed. “I’ll go ahead, Sir.”

Hannah left the room.

Siwon’s father closed his eyes as he remembered his wife’s words.

“Maybe the reason why he never listens to you…is that you have to listen to him first.”

Siwon’s father opened his drawer, he took a photo from it…it’s the same photo in Siwon’s room…it was a photo of when the two of them went fishing…Siwon was so happy to learn from his Dad…it was  a time when…the only important words for him was his Dad’s words.

Hannah walked towards Riz.

“What happened?” asked Riz

“I don’t know…I tried everything I can to tell him that we need his help for Siwon Oppa…” said Hannah “But he still seems so cold.” Said Hannah

Riz nodded.

“Let’s hope that beneath that cold exterior, is a father’s heart.” Said Riz

“I hope so.” Said Hannah

Riz smiled…Hannah doesn’t know it…but she has that power over people…Hannah…can melt even the hardest of hearts.

“I heard what happened, Man…I’ so sorry…I’ll try to do something about it.” Said Siwon
