Chapter 17

Siwon opened a beer can and handed it to Boa.

“I thought you might be out of the country.” Said Siwon

“I’m leaving for Japan tomorrow.” Said Boa “You called on a right timing. How was your comeback coming?”

“It’s set 3 days from now.” Said Siwon

“Wow…3 days…can you focus on that while you still have a Lover’s Quarrel?” asked Boa

“We’re not lovers.” Said Siwon

“And besides…Hannah is completely not related to my comeback.” Said Siwon a bit irritated

Boa giggled.

“I was just kidding. You have no humour today.” Said Boa

“My mood is sour.” Said Siwon

“I can see that.” Said Boa

There was a moment of silence.

“I was surprised when I learned that you accepted WGM…but more surprised that you were paired with someone I don’t even know.” Said Boa “They said that normally they would ask who your type is…and the WGM staff pay attention to that…did you write her on the questionnaire?”

“You said you don’t even know her right?” asked Siwon “Do you think I would even remember her name putting it there?”

Boa nodded. “You have a point.”

Boa stood up and went to the terrace. She saw the writing she did on the wall 2 years back. Boa laughed.

“You still haven’t asked this removed?” asked Boa “How long do you want to keep this here?”

Siwon chuckled. “I plan to keep it for a long time.”

“You’re sick. Have this painted, Siwon. This embarrasses me a lot.” Said Boa “What if someone else sees this?”

“Nobody comes to my house aside from you. So you have nothing to worry about.” Said Siwon

Boa’s eyes narrowed. “You really liked what I wrote here, do you?” asked Boa

Siwon laughed.

“Then you shouldn’t have gotten married.” Said Boa. Her face serious.

“It’s just a show.” Said Siwon

“I know…but still…the whole Korea knows you are tied with her.” Boa walked towards Siwon

“Just focus on your wife for now Siwon. Me being this busy…I think it’s good that I don’t have to be here all the time seeing you with her… But then… when you had a problem with her, I was still the one you called.” Said Boa

“I need someone who can make me feel better. And that’s you.” Said Siwon

Boa sat beside Siwon hiding her face on his arm.

“Do you really feel bad that you’ve hurt her?” asked Boa

She took a peak at Siwon in time to see him nod his head. Boa hid her face in Siwon’s arm again.

“I hate you for just being contented to be my friend when…when we can be more than that…” said Boa

“But then…your love for what you do…your love for your fans…the way you protect my career together with yours…that’s what I like about you the most.” Said Boa

“That’s why don’t change…don’t make that show…that pretend relationship…don’t make it change you…don’t make me regret staying just as your friend.” Said Boa

Hannah opened her eyes…it’s already morning….

Riz entered her room.

“Eonnie, we did not wake you up.” Said Riz “You were still feverish this morning.”

Feverish? Oh….her body feels sore all over…and she indeed feel weak…oh no…she’s gotten herself sick!

“You said you’ll go to the pharmacy but I searched your things and I did not see any medicine. I already asked Oppa to buy you meds.” Said Riz

“What’s our schedule today?” asked Hannah

“I told Oppa you can’t leave your bed today. So that you can rest.” Said Riz

“No…I’ll just drink medicine and I’d feel better.” Said Hannah

“Eonnie…our schedule today is very tight…I don’t think you’ll survive with this condition.” Riz took a deep breath “We have an interview by 9AM…it’s now 7AM. We have then a performance by 2PM…that’s for finale stage. Then you have WGM starting 4PM.” Said Riz

“I can’t miss the finale stage…I want to perform with you guys until the end.” Said Hannah

“If you don’t perform at your 100%, people will see it Eonnie. We don’t want people to bash you again, right?” said Riz “Skip the finale stage Eonnie…skip the interview too…we’ll handle it for now. Just rest first…if you think you feel better, then go to your WGM…maybe seeing brother in law would help you feel better.”

Oh no….that would be the worst thing that can happen now…Seeing Siwon…

“You’re not going to talk about me in the interview are you?” asked Hannah

“Of course we will talk about you. Your absence is your downfall.” Laughed Riz

“That’s what I didn’t want to happen.” Said Hannah

“Just rest for now Eonnie.” Said Riz

Hannah closed her eyes. She fell into a deep sleep. And then when she opened her eyes she saw medicine on her table. She drank it and fell asleep again. The next time she opened her eyes, it was already 11AM.

She tried to stand up and found her balance. She took a quick shower.

They would be on their way to the Finale stage…she can still make it there.
