That Performance

Chapter 29

Siwon was waiting for Hannah to come out of the bathroom.

“You ok?” asked Siwon

“Yeah…This is going to be hard. I did not notice I went here on my pajamas. And I even just took a cab going here.” Said Hannah

“You going out at the middle of the night should not happen again.” Said Siwon “Especially not with your pajamas.”

Hannah laughed. Everything that happened last night…was like a dream…but waking up to see Siwon beside her, his arms around her…means everything is real…

“I wouldn’t have heard everything I wanted to hear if I did not come here.” Said Hannah

That’s true, thought Siwon.

“Was it your manager who called?” asked Hannah

“Yes, he said it’s urgent.” Said Siwon

“We need to hurry, Oppa. I also have to go back…I can imagine Riz’ anger right now.” Said Hannah

“But Hannah…” said Siwon.  “We need to be careful. People might see you going out of my house.”

Ohhh yeah….that’s going to be a headache.

“I suggest I’ll go out from the main entrance. Then after 2 minutes, you will go out of the back door.” Said Siwon

Hannah nodded. “All right.”

Siwon noticed Hannah’s damp hair…and he recalled the first time he saw Hannah that way…in the car…when they were going to the studio to rehearse Hannah’s performance. Her hair was also damp from showering…and it sends waves of excitement on Siwon’s veins.

Siwon pulled Hannah to him and then he whispered. “Good thing the manager called. Or else I would have tried to break your restrictions.”

“Huh?” asked Hannah clueless.

“Nothing.” Said Siwon as he touched Hannah’s lips with his in a passionate morning kiss.

“Op..pa” said Hannah breathless

“This morning is meant to be spent over coffee with a sweet chitchat…but that manager of mine really has the best timing of all.” Said Siwon sarcastically.

Hannah giggled. “We can share a coffee anytime anyway…as long as we’re both available….Wait…when do we next meet for WGM?”

“Hmm…I think in 4 to 5 days.” Said Siwon

Hannah is all excited to spend a wholeday with her beloved husband…who loves her too! Hannah laughed at her own thought.

“Hey, what’s so funny?” asked Siwon

“I’m just excited for the next WGM. I  wonder if people would noticed anything different.” Said Hannah

“I think they would.” Said Siwon

And then Siwon heard his phone ringing again.

“We really need to hurry.” Said Hannah

“Yeah.” Said Siwon

“Do you think there’s a problem why it’s urgent?” asked Hannah

“No…don’t worry about it. My manager has a worrying disorder.” Said Siwon smiling.

As planned Siwon took the main entrance to leave and Hannah took the backdoor hoping nobody noticed.

Siwon entered the office and as expected, the Boss has his fierce face on.

“I’m sorry for making you wait.” Said Siwon as he took a seat beside his manager.

“Since an hour of my time has already been wasted, let me go straight to the point.” Said the Boss “What kind of parasite entered your mind, that it has all the brain cells out?”

Hmmm….He’s mad.

“You mean I am not thinking well, right?” asked Siwon interpreting the Boss statement.

“You are losing focus boy!” said the Boss “You want to push back that drama role? Are you making me laugh?”

Siwon closed his eyes. This is going to be a difficult discussion. He has accepted the fact that people will convince him to change his mind…But he did not know it will reach the Boss’ level.

“I just don’t think it’s the right time. I have only been in WGM for 4 months…less than 5 months.” Said Siwon

“It doesn’t matter.” Said the Boss “Whether you only stayed there for 2 months or 1 month, as long as we’ve re-established your image, you can already pull out of the show. Remember that the reason why you were there in the first place is to regain popularity and be liked again. The next step is to re-establish your talent. And we can show people how good your acting talent is if you  do not accept a major role like this. This is the best opportunity that came to us. But you’re just throwing it away like that?” asked the Boss

“I have a WGM commitment.” Said Siwon

“We dictate the timing of WGM, the production knows that we can pull you out anytime.” Said the Boss

“I want to stay in the show.” Said Siwon “For a few more months.”

“And what is your reason for that?” asked the Boss

Siwon could not answer.

“What is the reason?” asked the Boss towards Siwon’s manager

“The fans love the Siwon-Hannah story. Their fanbase is getting bigger and bigger.” Said the manager helping Siwon out “It’s such a waste if we pull them out this early.”

“But that is stupidity.” Said the Boss. “We are building Siwon up. Hananh is none of our care. We’ve gotten what we want for Siwon, I don’t care about the Siwon Hannah fanbase. WGM is meant to end…what we need are solid Siwon fans. And the drama will help us get that, not WGM.”

But Siwon still did not answer.

“Tomorrow, come back here. If I need to hammer these words to you again tomorrow, I will.” Said the Boss and then he left.

The manager massaged his brows.

“This is getting complicated.” Said the manager

“Why did it reach him?” asked Siwon

“I told the drama production that you weren’t ready…just as you said. And then they went directly to the Boss because they thought my excuse was not acceptable.” Said the manager

Siwon’s eyes narrowed. He is not convinced the manager has nothing to do with the news reaching the Boss.

“You know that he’s going to do everything in his powers to pull you out of WGM, right?” asked the manager

Siwon took a deep breath. “He’s going to put that drama in your mouth no matter what.” Continued the manager.

“That’s a fact that you have to accept.”

Siwon stood up.

“I will not give in easily, Hyung. You know that right?” asked Siwon

The manger took a deep breath as he tried to control himself.

“It’s Hannah isn’t it? She’s the reason.” Said the manager

Siwon faced his manager.
