Doyeon smiled as she exchanged an order of bouquets to a customer for their money. "Have a nice day!" she said, beaming as the customer thanked her and left the floral store. The girl sighed as she grabbed a broom in the corner and began to sweep the ground that was covered with leaves and petals that fell off when she removed the dead flowers from their pots. She listened the classical music that played in the background as she continued to work. The bell rang when a customer came in, making her set down her broom and walk towards the counter, "Welcome, is there anything that you need?" she asked as a tall, dark-skinned male student walked towards the counter and looked around.

"Uhm, how much for a bouquet of flowers?" he asked.

"Twenty," Doyeon answered, simply.

"Then I'll take a bouquet of flowers then, just take whatever looks good," the boy said with a grin, handing her a twenty dollar bill.

Doyeon just smiled in reply as she stepped away to make the boy's order. "Doyeon, why don't you go home? I'll take over from here," the owner told her with a smile.

"Are you sure? I could help you out for a little bit longer," she replied.

The elder shook her head, "It's fine. You go home and rest, okay?"

Doyeon slightly smiled and nodded, "Alright, well take care," she said before grabbing her bag from behind the counter and hurried out the doors.

Stepping outside, Doyeon found a black car in front of the store, making her blink at the sight of it. No other car were around it, and she looked back into the store, finding the male still standing at the counter, waiting patiently for his flowers. Must be his... With a sigh, she turned and walked away. Mom and dad are probably going to fight again tonight... Doyeon glanced at her small wristwatch, And I have a test tomorrow. I'll just go to the library and come home late. Studying in a loud environment is not good for me. She turned the corner and walked towards the library. Doyeon stepped inside the quiet environment of the library and found many students studying. Knowing that it would be difficult to study with people around her, she walked towards the back of the library where, hopefully, no one could find her. She settled at one of the tables in the far corner and pulled out her books and pen, but grabbed her journal out first. Opening her journal that she writes in every day, she taps her pen against the empty page and sighed. How unusual... I don't know what to write. Frowning to herself, she wrote about her day, but then stopped herself. Every day it's the same... There's no point to writing about what happened. Frustrated, she just wrote down one sentence: 'SAME CRAP, DIFFERENT DAY,' and underlined the sentence a couple of times. "Tsk, is my life really that boring?" she asks herself, mumbling as she looked at her large words written on the paper, "Doesn't even matter anymore." The girl sets her journal aside and pulled her books towards her, opening to a certain chapter of that night's homework.

The library soon closes for the night, making Doyeon the last student to leave. She rushes out of the library with her backpack on her shoulders. Seeing the skies that turned dark, she hurried home, not wanting her parents to worry about her. She turns to a corner, and is suddenly stopped when her father sees her and calls out her name, "Doyeon!" She looks up at her father as he approaches her and has his hand out, "Do you have a few bucks I can borrow? I need to get us some decent food, something that isn't eggs, rice and kimchi," her father said as Doyeon dug out her wallet and gave him a twenty. "I'll return whatever I have left for you, okay?" he said, before patting his daughter's head and hurried away. Slightly confused, she continues to make her way towards home.

"Doyeon! Come eat dinner!" her mother called out as soon as she entered the house. "Where's your father?" she asked.

"Somewhere," Doyeon replied as she walked into the kitchen, setting her backpack on the ground. She sighed as she saw the sight of eggs, kimchi and rice again. Now she was glad that she gave her father money. Doyeon sat down by herself and ate quietly while her mother walked around. She stuffed full of rice and eggs, already wanting to throw up from the meal. I'm so tired of this... When is dad coming back? Just then the door opened and her father came running in.

"Guess what, we're not going to this crap anymore!" her father said.

Her mother gave him a scolding look, while Doyeon looked for the food her father promised. "What are you talking about?" her mother questioned.

"No more eggs, kimichi and rice. From now on, we shall eat like kings!" her father said, pulling out lottery tickets from his pockets.

Doyeon blinked, "Dad, did you use my money for lottery tickets?" she asked.

"I told you I was going to get food," her father said, chuckling.

"Then where's the food?" her mother asked, hands on her hips.

"At a restaurant," her father simply answers.

Doyeon frowns, "But we barely have enough money for a decent meal."

"Not anymore~" her father sang and cackled.

Her father ended up earning a slap to the head from her mother, "Shut up and just eat. Your nonsense is annoying me."

"Yah, you're not interested in the lottery tickets I won? Here, look at it and turn to channel three," her father said and handed her mother the ticket. Grumbling, Doyeon's mother snatched the ticket away and stomped towards the TV as her father settled down in the seat next to his daughter. "Ah, Doyeon, stop eating that. In a few moments, after your mother realizes that we won the lottery, we'll go out and eat, okay?" A suddenly shriek came from her mother in the living room, "She found out," her father said, grinning.

"Okay okay okay," the mother said, rushing back to Doyeon and her father, "Doyeon, get changed so we can go out to eat," her mother hurried.

Doyeon slightly smiled, "Why don't you order for me while you eat? I have some studying to do," she said.

"Aish," her mother said and patted her daughter's cheek. "Alright. Make sure to lock the doors and call if anything happens, okay? We'll come home as soon as we can," her mother says and grabs her father's arm, dragging him out of the house.

Doyeon sighed as she was left alone in the now empty house. She stood up from her seat and shuffled to her room, taking off her school blazer and collapsed onto her bed. Should I be happy that we actually have money now? If I should, why am I not getting this happy feeling?
