Kai stares at the ceiling as he thinks about Doyeon's question to him. "Would you leave if I leave too?" Kai wanted to tell her that he would. Yes, he loved her and everything and always wanted to be by her side no matter what. But, would he leave this luxurious life behind just to follow the girl he liked? If he chose to not, Doyeon would think that he's just being selfish. If he did leave, everyone who knew about his love for Doyeon would think that he's being selfish. But now that he thought about it, he enjoyed how Doyeon was the one who introduced him to the real world outside the high society. Maybe living a low life would be well for the two of them. Well, maybe not a low life, but maybe they could travel together, leave all the bad stuff behind. But the way he thought of it made it sound like it was an activity that only couples would do. But he liked Doyeon, so why not make her fall in love with him? No, Jongin would do anything but try to make her fall in love with him. He would rather stay friends than both dating and ending up breaking up. If she likes him back without him trying, then she will like him. When that comes, they will both think about what to do with their relationship. Kai sighs as he closes his eyes, letting the darkness take over him. He could just think of one thing that lets him fall asleep easily.

Doyeon. Doyeon. Doyeon. Jang Doyeon. I'm so selfish.

Their class was let out early for lunch, and Kai pulls Doyeon over to the lunch line with a grin, "You need to eat," he says. He pulls her into the line, finding only a few people in front of them. Suddenly the bell rings and the doors slam open and in come the first year students. Kai ignored them and waited patiently for their next turn to get food. When the cafeteria workers weren't looking, a group of first year students suddenly walks up and cuts Kai and Doyeon in line. Doyeon raises a brow while Kai glares at them. He opens his mouth to say something, but Doyeon only stops him. There were shouting behind the two about how the first year students were cutting in line, but the workers didn't bother to listen to them and continued their work. Kai frowns while Doyeon crosses her arms over her chest. Time passes and more comes up to cut in front of them. "Are you freaking serious?" Kai mutters, his fists tighten as he starts to lose his patience. He had the urge to punch some sense into these immature children in front of them, not for just him and Doyeon, but everyone else who was waiting patiently before. "These idiots are getting on all my nerves," Kai mumbles as he throws death glares everywhere.

Doyeon lets out a sigh and suddenly gets out of line, pulling Kai with her. She pushes her way past the first years who started to shout at her and push her away, but she ignores them and the two finally reach the front of the line. Doyeon grabs her tray and another for Kai. She lets Kai go first, and follows behind him. Hearing the first year students suddenly throw curses and immature sayings, she turns back to them to give them a cold glare. Doyeon tells Kai to get her lunch, while she walks back to their last place in line, saying, "First years, back. The rest of you get your asses up here." She turns back, ignoring the grumbling and complaints behind her and walks back to Kai who had already paid for their lunch. The two left the cafeteria and hurried up to the rooftop where they usually would stay at if they ate lunch.

They both kept silence, Doyeon was calm, ignoring everything that happened in the cafeteria. Kai was furious as he held onto his lunch tray tightly. They both sit down against the wall once they reached the rooftop. Kai exhales sharply as he chugs down his milk, "People are so immature these days," he tells Doyeon. "I can't believe they cut in front of us when we all were going in the same direction for the same thing that we want." He glances at Doyeon, and his anger is suddenly gone as he smiles at her, "But what you did was cool."
Doyeon lightly sips on her milk before taking a small bite of her meal. "Don't expect me to do that every time. Yeah, what I did seems cool, but I won't do it to those who were in the other line."

Their school had two different lunch lines, one for the people with money, another for the people without money. If they were in the other line, Doyeon would just let them get in front of them without being angry, but since they were in the line with the luxurious people and food, there was no way Doyeon was letting those idiots cut in front of them. Everyone was receiving the same meal, for the same price. Those people who cut in front of them were just idiots to think that they were going to get the best food if they got in line first. If they argued that they were just hungry, then what would that make the other waiting people? The people on diets and ?

"I swear, the more the younger generation comes here, the more immature they become," Kai says.
"Then what are we?" Doyeon asks. "We could have been immature and little s back then. They just need to suffer a lot more like we did."
"Yes they do. I mean they-"
"Shut up, Jongin," Doyeon says, interrupting the boy. "We have no right to talk about them like that... We're all the same..."

A ring of Kai's phone interrupts their conversation. "Kai speaking," he answers. He glances over at Doyeon who stares back at him. "Yeah, she's here... Okay..." He ends the phone call and stuffs his phone back into his pocket. "Your parents want you to go home after school."
"Do you think I'm going to go?" Doyeon questions, raising a brow at the boy.
"You should go... It seems important anyways..." Kai says. Doyeon only sighs in reply.

The classroom was quiet, only few whispers here and there, but nothing more to interrupt the studying environment. Doyeon's eyes gazes across the page of the novel in her hands, turning to the next page every minute. Kai keeps his eyes on his own textbooks, reciting each chapter that they had learned over the past week. It was the perfect time for the two to finally focus on their studies, that is until the classroom door suddenly opens. Everyone's eyes were at the intruder's except for Doyeon's. The clicking of heels makes Doyeon lose her place in her reading and she glances up, slightly annoyed with the interruption. "Jang Doyeon, the principal wants to see you," their homeroom teacher tells her. A sigh escapes Doyeon's lips as she stood up and followed the teacher out of the classroom and towards the principal's office.

She lightly knocks on the door, waiting for a response to let her in. "Come in," she hears. Doyeon opens the door and steps inside the office, bowing politely at the elder. "Doyeon... Sit down," the principal told her.
Doyeon obeys and seats herself on the chair in front of the principal. "Is there a reason why you called me down here?"
"Yes," the principal says before sipping on her coffee. "You're the student who gets perfect scores on her test right? Not to mention that you're way ahead of the fourth year students as well," she said. "I have an offer. Would you like to graduate this year?"
Doyeon raised a brow and narrowed her eyes. "May I ask why you're offering me this chance?"
"You're a talented, intelligent student, and we don't want to be the ones to hold you back from achieving. Since you're already studying things that are only mentioned in college, maybe it would be a good opprotunity to graduate early. Plus, this could also help you get into a good university easily-"

"I'm not going to college or any universities," Doyeon interrupts. "I plan to not continue my studies after graduating."
The principal stares at Doyeon, trying to find a way to convince the girl to graduate, "You don't have to go to college then. But this opprotunity to graduate early could help you with your future career-"
"If I graduate early, can the people behind me graduate with me as well?" Doyeon interrupted again.
The principal opens to speak, but nothing comes past their lips. She clears before continuing, "Unfortunately, no. The students don't-"
"I want to graduate with the people I'm suppose to graduate with. But thank you for the offer," Doyeon tells the elder. She lets out a heavy exhale and stands up from her seat, exiting the office.

Doyeon steps back into the classroom, finding Kai tapping his pencil against his book. She realized that the boy was waiting for her to come back. Doyeon walked back to her desk and sat down. "Can we leave?" Doyeon asked the boy.
Kai blinked at her, "But we're still in school," he said.
"I want to leave right now... They're not going to care if we leave anyway." Kai raises a brow, but nodded to her request. He stood up from his seat and began to gather his books into his bag, as did Doyeon.

The two friends sit inside a café, warm coffees in their hands to keep them cool from the windy autumn's weather outside. "I have something tell you. But you will have to wait until our midterms are over," Kai said as Doyeon sipped on her cappuccino.
"Why after? Why not now?" Doyeon asked.
Kai smiled at her shyly, "Just meet me here after the exams."
"Midterms are in two months though-"
"You can wait two months for me to tell you." Doyeon blinked at Kai's words and nodded, confused about what was going on.
