It was winter outside, and they had just met only a few minutes earlier as soon as their midterms had ended at school. A folded paper was slid towards Doyeon. She glanced up at the brunette in front of her as she picked up the paper and unfolded it. Her gazed turned towards the unfolded paper and she read the note. I like you, it read.

"Why do I like you?" Jongin questioned himself and a chuckle was let out. "Because you're... You." Doyeon sat expressionless and stared down at the note in her hand. "I wanted to tell you that... I was supposed to have told you that a long time ago, but I just could gather the courage to tell you..." Jongin said as he glanced everywhere besides Doyeon. "I thought that it would be best if it was sooner, so... There, I said it... I like you."
Doyeon turned her gaze up at her friend who stared back at her, "I know." The two sat in silence for a while. The only sound that surrounded them was the Christmas songs that was being played inside the café. "But... Do I have to respond now?" she asked Kai.
Kai blinked and shook his head, "I'm just telling you that I like you, but I'm not expecting an answer any time soon..." he trailed off. "I just wanted you to know that I like you and yeah."
"Then... Do you mind waiting for my response then?"
Jongin's heart sank, but he managed to smile at the girl in front of him. "I don't mind."

That was a lie.

Kai sighed as he sat down with his friend Sehun. "So you're just going to wait?" Sehun asked as he played with his phone.
"What else am I suppose to do? Make her like me back? I can't do that," Kai said as he stared at the ground.
"How else? If you don't make her like you, then she will become someone else's by the time she realizes her feelings for you," Sehun said, obviously being no help at all.
"Even if I did, it won't be easy. You know Doyeon. All she cares about at this moment is school and her own life, maybe a little bit about her family as well. But right now, I think she has no time for any relationship or all that crap," the brunette said, exhaling heavily.
"But still, she could fall in love with some other jerk out there," Sehun continued, being no help for Kai at that moment.
"She'll like whoever she wants. If she doesn't like me back, then I guess I will just have to live without the girl that I loved for the past two or three years. I'll even approve whoever that idiot is. But if he hurts her, there will be a shoe up his ," Kai said, his voice starting to rose up.

Sehun looked at Kai and raised a brow, "Damn, don't gotta be an 'overprotective oppa' towards her. Besides, Doyeon's mature and she knows how to chose the right person. Like if she chooses you, I'll start feeling sorry for her for having such an overprotective Jongin around her so much."
"I'm like this even when I'm just her friend," Kai said.
Sehun rolled his eyes, "You don't say."
"But what if she does end up liking me?" Kai questioned, smiling as he daydreamed.
"In your dreams," Sehun muttered. "You're out of her league. Doyeon's intelligent, chic, and all that stuff that you said. You're-" Sehun looked at Jongin from head to toe, "You're like 49 percent rich jerk and 51 percent of 'not Doyeon's type.' Besides, she has different things up her mind, while your mind is just about her and leaving the house next year. You also said that she hated being rich anyway. That shows how mature she is."
"If you realize that then why don't you start hating be rich too?" Kai questioned his friend.
"I would if I could. But I'm rich, I can't stop what I do!" Sehun said.

Kai frowned, "I think I'm the same too," he muttered.
"Oh, how long has it been since you even confessed to her anyway?" Sehun asked.
"I don't know... A week or two?"
"It's taking her that long to make up her mind? All she has to say is yes or no."
"Shut up. I already told you that she might not even be ready for any kind of relationship!" Kai exclaimed.
"You're friendzoned, ha!" Sehun said, letting out a loud laugh.
Kai glared at the blond in front of him, "Get your out of my house."

"Truth."
"Instead of asking you the question, I'll tell you a truth of mine," Kai told her with a smile.
"Alright then..." Doyeon said, confused with what the boy was doing.
"Remember when you asked me if I would leave if you did too?" Doyeon nodded at his question. "My answer is yes. I'll leave if you do," Kai told her.
Doyeon looked down, not reacting to his words. "Truth or dare?" she asked, changing the subject.
"Truth."

"When was your first kiss?" Kai blinked as Doyeon asked the sudden question. "When was your first kiss?" she repeated the question.
"I meant to say dare," Kai said.
"Yah, Kim Jongin. You said truth, and in truth or dare you can't change your answer. So answer my question," Doyeon repeated.
Kai sighed and nodded, "I haven't had one yet."
"Will you tell me when you get your first kiss?" Doyeon asked, smiling.
"Yah, why would you ask that-"
"Because that's what friends tell each other," the girl said, interrupting Kai in mid-sentence. "They tell secrets and stuff..."
"I- Fine!" Kai replied and groaned. "Your turn, truth or dare?"

"Dare."
"I dare you to..." Kai thought about what to give the girl. He played with his fingers as he had a dare in mind, but hesitated to let the words come past his lips. "...Be my first kiss."

Doyeon gave him a blank face, blinking at him, and probably thinking that he was an idiot. But she suddenly leaned towards him and pressed her lips against his, making Jongin's eyes widen. He thought about how soft her lips were against hers, and his heart started to beat crazily inside him. Sparks flew. But the sparks ended when she leaned away and asked, "Truth or dare?" acting as if nothing had just happened. When Kai didn't reply, Doyeon looked up at the boy, raising a brow at him, "Yah, truth or dare?"

Kai gazed at her and a smile spread across his face as Doyeon continued to give him a blank stare, "Doyeon, I just got my first kiss."

"Idiot."

The other update was actually made like two weeks ago. so that's why theres a double update today. I feel like this was randomly added. l0l. I'm trying to find a way to add drama. as for pandora. gdi. I can't work on it anymore. writers block for it.
