"Ri?" You asked, confused

"Yeah, that's your new nickname." Baekhyun said, grinning

"But I have a name already." You said, frowning in annoyance

"But I want to call you Ri." Baekhyun said, grabbing your hand

"My name's already short. Why do you want to shorten it even more?" You asked, tapping your chin

"Do you want me to call you that or no? Because I think it's cute." Baekhyun said, winking

"You think everything is cute." You said, shaking your head

"And? Is that so bad?" Baekhyun asked, glaring at you

"Maybe it is. You make every girl fall in love with you." You said, looking away

"It's not my fault. Who could resist my charms?" Baekhyun asked, smirking

'No one. Especially me.'

"You should take care of that prince complex, you'll end up hurting someone." You said, staring at Baekhyun

"I'm fine. Besides, it's not like I'm going around flirting or dating anyone I see. I'm waiting." Baekhyun said, sighing

"Waiting? For what?" You asked, confused

"For who?" Baekhyun corrected, pouting

"Exactly, who are you waiting for?" You asked, wide eyed

"My soulmate." Baekhyun said, smiling at you

"Na Ri?" Chanyeol whispered, shaking you lightly

"Oppa?" You asked, turning around

"It's me, Chanyeol." Chanyeol said, awkwardly smiling

"Oppa!" You said, smiling

"Oppa?" Chanyeol asked, confused

"Yeah, oppa." You said, nodding your head

"Oh......okay." Chanyeol said, blushing

"Why are you here?" You bluntly asked, staring at him

"I came to give you a gift." Chanyeol said, pulling out a small notebook

"What's this?" You asked, staring at it

"I did some research and I read that writing your feelings down helps with depression." Chanyeol stammered, blinking at you

"Really?" You asked, grabbing it

"I'm sorry!" Chanyeol said, looking at you

"What for?" You asked, confused

"I didn't know if you wanted to talk about this. It's not my business." Chanyeol said, rubbing the back of his neck

You grabbed Chanyeol's hand lightly, your eyes widening in surprise. You looked up at him and stared at his face, noticing the soft eyes, soft lips and the sweet smile that would make anyone's heart flutter.

Except yours.

But you were willing to try.

"It's fine. Thank you." You said, smiling softly

"I have something to confess." Chanyeol said, sitting down at the chair besides you

"What is it?" You asked, staring at him

"I like you." Chanyeol said, going red

"Why? What's so special about me?" You asked, tears in your eyes

"Everything." Chanyeol said, smiling softly

"Liar." You said, ignoring the tears stinging your eyes

"I'm not. I don't know why but I feel I have to protect you, to care for you. Since the first moment I saw you, I understood what they meant about falling in love at first sight. I know you might not understand but you're the first person I can see spending the rest of my life with." Chanyeol said, wiping away your tears

'Love at first sight. Just like me. I had thought the same thing.'

'Byun Baekhyun had done the same.'

"Oppa........" You said, sobbing

"I liked you. Past. I like you. Present. I will like you. Future. I'm going to look for you and protect you and love you. I can make that happen." Chanyeol said, grabbing your hand

'What if this was a second chance? A way to escape from your past. A way to escape from him.'

'Can I get rid of these emotions? Will I be able to love someone who loves me? Will I be able to let go?'

"Will you be able to wait?" You asked, looking at Chanyeol

"For what?" Chanyeol asked, brushing your hair back

'My heart to be ready.'

"Can you?" You asked, squeezing Chanyeol's hand

"As long as you don't make me wait too long." Chanyeol said, smiling softly

You closed your eyes as Chanyeol leaned closer. He kissed you softly on the forehead before standing up. Your eyes trailed after him, your heart slowly beating again.

You looked down at the small notebook Chanyeol had given you and you opened it. You grabbed a pen and stared at the blank page. Without thinking, you began to write. Your tears stained the page, the ink running slowly down your hand and into your cuts.

'To that woman, a scar was like falling into deep water. The onlookers who don’t know the depth of that scar just wonder why she can’t swim out. There are so many people who belittle a stranger’s scar. She didn’t want to hear such empty words. She didn't want to hear empty laughs. She just wanted to be loved. At least by that person… from that person...'
