"How did it go?" Baekhyun asked, smiling at you

You looked up from your breakfast and looked up at Baekhyun, smiling softly. You simply shrugged your shoulders and looked back at your food. You looked up again and looked at Baekhyun, your mind racing.

"Oppa, did you miss me?" You asked, your face expressionless

"Of course! You were gone for a week. I had nothing to do!" Baekhyun complained, shaking his head

"That's it? You were just bored?" You asked, wide eyed

"What? What do you want me to say?" Baekhyun asked, looking up

"The truth." You said, blinking

"I missed you. I was worried sick and I would get scared when you never picked up your phone." Baekhyun said, sighing

"Really?" You said, smiling

"Yeah, are you happy now?" Baekhyun asked, shaking his head

"Yeah, very happy." You said, nodding your head

"I met someone when you were away." Baekhyun said, looking up at you

"Someone? Who?" You asked, wide eyed

"A friend. He's going to be working with me in the club." Baekhyun answered, smiling

"A man?" You asked, your heart slowing down

"Yeah, he's really nice. You don't have to meet him if you don't want to." Baekhyun said, looking down

"Good." You said, nodding your head

"But as punishment, you have to help me fix this song." Baekhyun said, passing you his notebook

"Okay." You said, nodding your head

"Good. Oh! I have something to ask of you." Baekhyun said, looking at you

"What is it?" You asked, confused

"How could you last a whole week eating takeout? That is disgusting." Baekhyun said, shuddering

"How did......." You began, wide eyed

"Unlike someone, I know the truth when I see it." Baekhyun said, frowning

"I like...........Chanyeol." You said, looking away

"What?" Baekhyun asked, pretending not to hear

"I like Chanyeol." You said, looking at him

"Stop lying." Baekhyun said, controlling his breath

"I'm not. I really like him." You said, tears falling

"Stop lying." Baekhyun repeated, standing up

"Oppa! I like him! I do!" You sobbed, grabbing Baekhyun's hand

"STOP LYING! I KNOW YOU!" Baekhyun screamed, pulling his hand away

"NO YOU DON'T! NOT EVEN AFTER 6 YEARS!" You screamed back

"I DON'T!? I'VE TAKEN CARE OF YOU FOR THIS LONG! NO ONE ELSE BUT ME!" Baekhyun screamed, glaring at you

"I DIDN'T NEED YOUR HELP!" You screamed, wiping away your tears

"Na Ri, why do you have to lie so much?" Baekhyun asked, crying

"Because it's easier! Because no one wants to hear the truth!" You replied, covering your face

"I do! I have always wanted to hear the truth!!" Baekhyun said, grabbing your hand

"No, you don't. It was just pity. You hate the thought of being with me." You spat, your eyes blazing

"You don't mean that. We've spent too much of our time together." Baekhyun said, his eyes soft

"I do mean it. I'm sick and tired of the way I feel everytime I look at you. I'm sick and tired of being so close yet so far." You said, tears in your eyes

"You don't love someone out of loyalty.....or out of sympathy, either." Baekhyun said, staring at you

"But you managed to." You said, looking away

"What do you want from me?" Baekhyun asked, taking a deep breath

'Your love'

"Nothing." You said, shaking your head

"You need to calm down, you're too sensitive right now." Baekhyun said, standing up

"I'm not. I've never been more aware in my life." You said, looking up at Baekhyun

"Why are you doing this to me?" Baekhyun asked, tears in his eyes

"Because you did this to me." You said, closing your eyes

Baekhyun stared at you in disbelief, shaking his head as he walked away. You looked down at your hands, the gashes across your wrist. You winced in pain as your tears fell on them, causing them to open up again.

'To somebody, love is like medals or trophies, the result of a victory to boast of. To somebody, love is the process of waiting endlessly on for the other person, which turns into true feeling. To you, love is a secret you could not allow to be exposed, not even to yourself.'

You stared after Baekhyun, standing up. You walked out the door and towards the staircase. You sat down and you began to sob, the tears painful yet a release. A way for you to get rid of your love. A way to go back to the past.

Would life have been better without knowing Baekhyun?

Would you have survived without him?

No.

The answer was no.

You closed your eyes and pulled out your hands. You began to flutter your hands over an imaginary piano, your voice soft as you began to sing. Your voice began to tremble, knowing that this song was made for him.

The word that stays deep inside my heart, more than the gifts you gave me, the very common word
As I get exhausted by the waiting day by day, I might leave you first
As I try to erase the pain, I bury memories one by one, I end up gettting bruised
The very common word that I love you, that will be enough for me

You looked back at your wrists, the gashes a soft pink. You stood up and walked back towards your room. You slipped into the bed and wrapped your arms around each other, the tears falling.

"He's right. I am a liar." You whispered, whatever was left of your heart gone
