A WONDERFUL world.
For the next few hours, the strangest of things happened. More students experienced being pushed, knocked over and some even falling down the stairs. Even some teachers had some issues will tripping over their own two feet or stumbling during lessons.
(remember, the school is really top-notch so the cafeteria is...not the norm ^^)
Now it was lunch time and students and teachers alike were buzzing around, the lunch room filled with hushed whispers and flickering eyes. Zel and Jany sat together, both just coming from cooking class.
"Cooking class was interesting," Zel commented, flipping through a fashion magazine she had brought and sipping on some milk. Jany made a face, munching on her lunch. "I guess. I almost got a heart attack back there." Zel nodded, looking up at the ceiling.
"De. Lots of mishaps and misbehavior." she turned to Jany, "It never really happens since everyone likes that class." "Then what happened? Lots of boys kept shoving and stuff." Jany recalled, even L.Joe bumped into Seungri multiple times and vice versa.
"What's worse was Rain songsaeng nim."
"De! He almost hurt himself with his knife, he's lucky he isn't seriously hurt." Jany shivered. She was nearest Rain when that happened. "Rain songsaeng nim is always careful, I wonder what happened? He only got a scratch but Nurse IVY had to help."
"I know, eh? Pretty close call."
The girls jumped in their seats hearing the new voice. A girl had taken a seat on the other side of the table, lollipop hanging in . She had short orange-brown hair, and a big smile on her face. Apparently the girls were in deep conversation to realize she was there. "Its you," Jany murmured. The girl nodded. "Ye~hey noob! I'm sure you found your way this morning," she winked as Jany nodded slowly and turned to Zel. "Hey. I'm heading off, bye~" and just like that she left. Zel pawed at Jany's sweater with her nails. "You met her earlier?" "Yeah...sort of. She helped me a bit. If she you're friend?" Zel have her a look. "Are you blind? She's in our class, the one who practically saved Rain songsaeng nim!"
>>Hannah listened in on the conversation going on behind her. Their conversation was quite interesting, but at the same time basically the same with everyone else's. It wasn't her fault they were talking so loud. Almost every person in the cafeteria rambled about how strange the morning had been.
"-and he just hip-bumps me. Can you believe it, Junsu Oppa actually bumps me and says it wasn't him. I mean come on, we're in line for food, its obvious he did it. Not that I mind, it is duckbutt Junsu, but he had to at least admit it or apologize," Hannah nodded, as if she were listening intently.
"When its my turn I- yah! You're not listening Hannah-ah!" Hannah smiled to her friend. "I was Yoobin-ah. It was extremely uncalled for of Junsu Oppa." Yoobin nodded. "Okay, yeah." "By the way, Yoobin ah, have you heard about happened this morning?" Hannah asked. Yoobin was very well informed about the latest school news and what not. Her eyes sparkled as she leaned in over the table to Hannah. "About Rain songsaeng nim?" Hannah nodded for her to continue. Yoobin took a breath in, "Apparently in cooking class, all hell broke loose. Kids were getting rowdy and messed around." 'how strange, usually students were well mannered in cooking class.' Hannah thought. "It got so bad that someone had their knife tossed into the air as they bumped into a table. It was in Rain songsaeng nim's direction." Yoobin's voice got lower with each word but Hannah was able to hear clearly. Hannah bit her thumb. "And?"
Yoobin smiled slightly. "You're not gonna believe this," she crossed her arms across her chest. "Amazingly enough, some girl CAUGHT the thing just before it came down on Rain songsaeng nim." Hannah's eyes widened. "BWO?" Yoobin smirked and continued. "Yeah, crazy right? And Rain songsaeng nim was so shaken up he backed up and put his hands on a table for support. Turns out it was his cooking area and he didn't even realize he knicked his palm with his own knife," Hannah stared at her for the longest time. Her grip on her glass juice bottle tightened. "That's one story," Hannah mumbled. 'The student can't be normal...' Yoobin started to panic. "Hannah ah, maybe you should let go of your bottle," Hannah didn't realize and kept squeezing the bottle. "I think its gonna break..." *CRACK*
"Huh?" Joyce looked up from her lunch, looking around. Shin Hye chewed her rice. "Hmm?" "Didn't you hear that?" Joyce asked. Shin Hye swallowed hard. "Ani. What did you hear?" the two were outside, sitting on the benches outside the cafeteria building. "I heard something breaking, like glass." Shin Hye scoffed. "We're the only ones outside. Maybe the sun got to you." Joyce laughed. "Yeah, maybe I'm gretting a heat wave!"
Joyce was the first one to finish her lunch. "Yah, Shin Hye ah, I really think Jaejoong Oppa was telling the truth."
"What makes you say that?" Shin Hye inquired, picking at her vegetables. Joyce pointed to the school. "When I passed the teachers lounge on my way here, they all said a whole bunch of students were acting up," Shin Hye raised a questioning eyebrow to her Chinese friend. "And they all had the same story of being pushed around." Shin Hye rolled her eyes and threw the rest of her lunch out.
"I heard it too. I think its baloney,"
Joyce sighed. "It does sound unusual...but I'm trying to figure-understand." Joyce pulled a solemn face, that's when Shin Hye knew she was serious. "Because I don't want to think Jae Oppa lied to me." she whispered.
Joyce then smiled brightly, as if nothing happened. "Okay! Let's start heading to class, cars are coming back from lunch." Shin Hye eyed the empty parking lot, then the street. "There aren't any cars, Joyce ah." Joyce disagreed. "I can see them Shin Hye ah~I have great eyesight." said girl huffed. "As if you have X-ray vision." Joyce grinned, walking towards the school. "I have like 30/20 sight, not seeing through walls." she hummed. Shin Hye followed suit. "30/20 doesn't exist. 20/20 is perfect sight."
JangMi stepped out of the car that just parked into school grounds. "Kamsahamnida, Leeteuk Oppa."
JangMi made sure all of Kyuhyun's hyungs went out to eat lunch with her. Her future sight was clear as day, and she made sure she would do anything to keep the tragedy from happening. Leeteuk locked his car as the other cars started to pour in. "No problem. We had fun, dongsaeng." he smiled showing off his dimples. Kyuhyun parked his car beside Leeteuk's and came out along with Heechul, Yesung, Sungmin and KangIn.
"That was too stuffy, I should've rode with you Leeteuk." Heechul whined earning some glares. "You sat shotgun, Hyung." Yesung pointed out for all of them. Heechul waved him off. "But you guys are so noisy. Like children," the rest finally came over to hear Heechul's rant and laughed.
While everyone was having their laughs, JangMi pulled Kyuhyun aside. "Oppa, you HAVE to watch them. Okay?" Kyuhyun narrowed his eyes. "But waeyo? Tell me exactly." JangMi shook her head. "I can't. Just be careful...jebal." she pleaded. He sighed, "I-" "Kyu! Stop hogging JangMi ah and go to uni!" Shindong yelled making them roar with Laughter. JangMi smiled and skipped over to them. "De~" she hooked arms with Henry who shared her class. "Henry ah and I will be off then!" she winked at her Oppas cutely. Some of them groaned. "Don't remind us~"
"I should have stayed in High school!"
"If only we could take you to university with us,"
JangMi giggled at her Oppas responses. "One more year!" "Take care then, JangMi ah." Sungmin smiled. JangMi smiled brightly. "I will Oppa! You too." a whole chorus of byes were heard as JangMi and Henry walked away.
Although JangMi was far enough away she could still hear the boys. They were arguing. "Yah! Did you just push me?!" "That's my car! You're finger prints are all over!" "Oof! Stop shoving." "Don't touch me~" "Who the hell keeps doing that?!" "I feel hands~" "Are you mocking me?!"
JangMi turned back, wondering if she should go see what's wrong. "Noona~ we have to go!" Henry reminded.
As the two came to their class, JangMi went to her seat and took out a book. Henry sat in his seat in front of hers, watching. Usually students would be quite loud but she was surprised to see a handful of classmates gathered near a desk in the back of the class. A girl sat on a desk, talking to them in a low voice, "-the girl was heartbroken. She never thought that her first love would reject her so badly, it pained her so much," the few girls listening were tearing up while the boys just stared. "She was hurting so much, she began to hate herself. She hated how she looked because her love said she was ugly. So she decided to become beautiful."
(guys, feel free to skip to the bottom, its pretty boring I'm sure ^^;)
"The girl changed her hair style, her clothes, and makeup." the girl ran touched her face to emphasize her words. "And when she thought it was enough, she looked into her hand mirror and found a very pretty girl."
"At school, her friends praised her beauty. Boys took more notice of her. She was no longer the geek. She was popular. She was loved. She was beautiful."
"But she changed too much. She only cared for her looks, always consulting the mirror she had with her. She quickly lost her friends. She thought they were jealous. The boys avoided her. She knew she was too good for them. No one liked her. She didn't care. She was beautiful. But it still wasn't enough,"
"She barely ate, wanting to be thinner. She stopped going to school for a few days, locking herself into her room."
The small audience listened closely and JangMi found herself leaning in.
"After days of confinement, she went back to school. She was sure to be the center of attention," she paused, staring the anxious teens. "And she was."
"Everyone stopped and stared as she walked through the gates. No one dared to step in her way as she walked the halls. She believed they were amazed of her appearance and that was true. 'You're still ugly!' Her first love yelled out. She couldn't understand. One of her ex-friends made her look into a window and that's when she saw one of the most ugliest, scariest girl she'd ever seen. This girl had such white skins it was unhealthy. Her hair was all dry and long. She was so skinny, her clothes swallowed her up. The face was narrow her eyes seemed to have sunken into their sockets and she had massive eyebags. Lastly her makeup was smudged as if were applied on a roller coaster, it made her look like a clown kook."
" 'How ugly' was her response, she thought it was someone else. She pulled out her hand mirror, seeing the reflection of a beauty. She was perfect in her reflection..."
"Yo," JangMi looked up to see Minho, Key, Onew and Jonghyun. She smiled. "Hey! How are my boys?" they all shrugged. "We were in the office the whole lunch. We got in trouble," Minho said. "It wasn't even my-our fault!" Key fixed when Jonghyun glared at him. "I'm hungry~" Onew whined, dropping into his seat. Henry and the boys started talking while JangMi listened to the girl's story.
"-it broke and she went insane. It couldn't be fixed and all the shattered pieces reflected back a fragment of an ugly face. She took the mirror handle and left for the store she bought it from..."
"JangMi ah? Hello~" Jonghyun waved to catch her attention. She shook her head and blinked . "De?" Key frowned. "You're not listening." "Not to you, but to her," JangMi glanced at the girl who suddenly looked her in the eyes and winked, then looked away. "Ahm, who is she? Isn't she too young to be in this class?" Onew sighed. "Are you kidding me? She's been here a long time." "Bwo?" JangMi was incredulous. Minho patted her shoulder. "This is a side affect of a bookworm," they laughed. "But, she's so young..." "She's only in our history class." Jonghyun confirmed. "Apparently she's super smart in History that she got bumped up a few grades, History only."
"When she got there, she demanded the store keeper to fix her mirror. The man smiled and ignored her saying he couldn't. Unfortunately, the store was full of mirrors and each one showed the horrendous reflection of the sick girl. She didn't look like that, she was supposed to be perfect."
"She began lashing out at the mirrors, throwing them, breaking them. The owner watched from afar, smiling."
"When she was about to destroy the last and biggest mirror there," the students leaned forward in their seats. "Her extremely thin legs gave out and she fell on top of the shattered remains. Slicing her skin in many places." they gasped. "She didn't die right away. She found herself facing the mirror. And you know what she saw? It was the flawless picture of beauty staring back at her. She was finally happy. Alas, it was short lived as it began to disappear and change into the bloody mess that she was. She died seeing her true self."
The girls were shaking and holding each other.
"And if you ever come across a broken mirror, beware the face you will see staring, BACK.AT.YOU."
JangMi's group ignored the wails of the other females and continued their conversation. "She tells a lot of stories," said Henry. "Scary ones mostly." Jonghyun scoffed. "Psh, for you it is," Henry pouted. "It just a bunch of crap found in myths." he waved off. JangMi found the group around the girl now high five-ing each other. "So what's her name?" she asked. JangMi could feel something coming off her. Minho answered, "She's the Fruit Cup."
*yepp, I think I died writing this @.@ this was pretty much a 'filler' chap. I want to wrap up the 'push' stuff so I can keep going with the next :D
