Goodbye Saipan

It was definitely a very productive weekend retreat Minho thought as he walked into the aircraft. He was the last one to arrive for the flight. He had asked Kibum to take everybody first to the airport with the hotel’s shuttle bus. President Choi called earlier this morning asking him to meet a business partner from Hong Kong, who was accidentally on a business trip in Saipan and was staying in the same hotel. Minho was relieved that the team and him were cooped up in the discussion room that they barely met with other people; which meant his cover was still intact.

He did not like the way he was deceiving everybody but he understood what his father’s real intention behind the lies. He hated lying to Sulli most … he just wished he could tell her but then would she be more interested in his chaebol title like the girls around Siwon or would it be better if she accepted him as a person before knowing that he’s the second heir of the company she was working at. He seriously did not know except the fact that he liked her very much. Would it be too much if he prayed that everything will come out nicely and everybody lived happily?

As he walked down the aisle to his seat, his team greeted him when they saw him. He smiled looking at their tired but smiling faces. Everyone was exhausted and Minho knew each one them did their utmost best in making sure their portfolio was filled with the information and data needed to ensure the success of the new product. Even Himchan pulled his weight in helping out the team by sharing his opinions and giving some good inputs which were duly noted. Secretary Kibum with the help of his own unofficial deputy, Jonghyun, had been busily collecting, organizing and reorganizing everything to make them coherent and clear. A few ideas were selected after careful considerations and later will be shortlisted and refined once back in Seoul.

At a more personal level, Minho was very surprised to see how the woman that he was constantly thinking about fared during the whole thing. He now knew that Miss Choi Sulli did not only have the face of an angel but also the mind of a genius. Her soft spoken words and shy looks belied the ability to come up with ideas and solutions for the new product
