Breaking Heart

Himchan did not want to be on stage, he wanted to be back in his room, breakdown and wail at the hurt he felt crushing his heart. But instead here he was on stage performing while trying his best not to show how much hurt  he was feeling. It was important for him to maintain his professional front in front of his fans and media. There was so much riding on the successfulness of their kick off concert because it will determine the other concerts that will be held around the world. Yes, they were going international to the much delight of their company and the fans.

The day started well for him as rehearsals went well and his heart was fluttering in anticipation of Sulli’s arrival. He was elated when he received Sulli’s reply the other day and he had made arrangements with Vicky noona for Sulli’s visit. They have been in contact and there were even a couple of times that he went to Jeju to see the lovely young woman who has taken a very special place in his heart.

His band mates were teasing him unmercilessly about his crush, especially Yongguk. Sometimes the teasing went overboard but Himchan didn’t care because he knows that if any of the other members were like him, he will be the one turning the table.

The last time he met with Sulli, he told her about his budding feelings towards her, though he knew that she might have some lingering feelings towards Minho still. For him, it didn’t matter because Minho was no longer in the scene according to Sulli, so Himchan will try to win her heart as long as she keeps her heart open. Sulli was honest with him when she told him that she found him nice but she was not sure whether she can reciprocate his feelings.

It was enough for Himchan because he knew he has time enough to woo her. He believed that in time Sulli’s heart will move towards him and he will wait for that time no matter what. He has nothing to lose by being patient and understanding.

So, when Sulli came to the backstage to see him in his dressing room a couple of hours before the concert started, he was definitely feeling happy because everything was perfect. Until she told him that Minho was back.

“What do you mean, babe?” Himchan frowned.

“I’m sorry, oppa. This is such a bad timing and I don’t want to ruin it for you. We’ll talk later, okay?” Sulli said softly, holding his hands in an effort to placate him.

“There’s no later, babe. I’ll be on the road for nearly half of the year around the world. You have to tell me now” he insisted eventhough he knew that the answer probably will cut his heart into pieces.
