Warm Hands, Warmer Bodies

Sulli felt a frisson of electricity coursed through her hand when Choi Minho shook hand with her. She have never felt that way before and thought these kind of things only existed in her romance books. So her eyes went to their hands and moved to look at his face, only to see that he was wearing the same shocked expression as her. Did he feel it too? No, couldn’t be. She mentally shook her head and thought that her mind was playing tricks with her. Maybe she was reading too much about his expression and maybe the jolt that she felt was only static discharge. It happens to everybody right?

“You can call me, Minho” said the handsome man with an amused look on his face. His warm and capable looking hand was still holding hers.

“I’m Sulli. Is it okay for me to call you that? Maybe I should call you sunbae or something” she said; uncertain about what to call him because she was quite sure he was older than her.

“Hmmm? You can’t call me sunbae because we are both at entry level but I am older than you. I’m twenty five and I’m guessing you should be around twenty two or twenty three?” he said guessing.

Nodding, she answered, “Yes, I’m twenty three”

“Then that settles it. Call me Minho oppa” he said.

“Minho oppa” she tried saying it.

He nodded, looking extremely satisfied and only then he released her hand.

They both exchanged a smile and then turned to face the front as the instructor begins the first training session.

Sulli brought her hands together under the table and discreetly rubbed them together to remove the tingling after effect she felt from the so-called static discharge of Minho’s warm hand.

Minho laced his hands together on top of the table savoring the feel of soft long tapered fingers and tried recalling the tiny jolt of electricity he felt when he held Sulli’s warm hand.

The trainees were overloaded with information and everybody was relieved when lunch break finally came. Sulli stood up to take her lunch pack but was stilled by Minho’s hand.

“You’ll just sit here tight. I will take you lunch for you. Let oppa take care of you today” he said and walked towards the back of the training room where the committees were handing out lunch packs.

As he walked, Minho was scolding himself because he knew just now, in an attempt to look cool, he actually sounded cheesy. Let oppa take care of you today? What was he thinking?
