“Are you excited? I am,” Donghae said.

“Hmm, kinda, I think,” you replied, looking out the car window.

“Come on. Didn’t you always want to go to the amusement park?” he smiled, briefly looking at you, then back to the road.

“Hmm… Yeah,” you nodded. Donghae and you weren’t exactly back together again, but more of getting-to-know each other stage. So today, he invited you to come with him to the amusement park. The relationship between you two is getting better, though. You could talk to him easily now, and you don’t feel uneasy with him around anymore. Perhaps you have forgiven him a little. In his defense, he did change quite a lot. He would call you every night just to ask you how you’re doing or how your day has been. Sometimes he would fetch you from the café after work, which would mean Kyuhyun wouldn’t do his job that day. Little by little you see less of Kyuhyun… it was saddening but you just hold on to the fact that Kyuhyun has no feelings for you.

Donghae parked the car. “Ready to go on rides?” he smiled.

“Yep,” you smiled back. You walked to the ticket booth.

“Let’s just wait for someone,” he said.

“huh? Someone’s coming with us?” you asked.

“Yeah. When he heard we were going, he suddenly wanted to come as well. He’s such a kiddo,” he chuckled.

“Who is it?” you asked.

“Who’s a kiddo?” you suddenly heard someone say behind you. You spun around. Kyuhyun stood behind you with a big warm smile on his face.

“Yah! You’re late,” Donghae laughed and pat his back.

“Kyuhyun!” you exclaimed.

“Miss me?” he smiled teasingly, putting his arm around your shoulder. “Have you bought our passes already?” he asked Donghae.

“Not yet,” Donghae shook his head. “I thought you’re gonna pay,” Donghae grinned slyly.

“Ya. You’re the one who invited me,” Kyuhyun bickered.

“You invited yourself,” Donghae chuckled.

“I know, I know,” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes and headed for the line.

“Yah! you know I’m just kidding,” Donghae laughed putting his arm around Kyuhyun’s shoulder. It’s amusing to see these two playfully fighting with each other. They really are best friends.

Donghae held your hand as much as he can and Kyuhyun followed you quietly. You three rode on different rides. The one you had the most fun was the bump cars. It was exciting and hilarious with the two men chasing you.

Kyuhyun turned fidgety when you were in line for the roller coaster. He was totally fine in all the other rides. At first you thought he may be just be hungry or something but even as you got on the ride he was uneasy. With Donghae to your right and Kyu to your left, you sat on the coaster, getting ready. You heard Kyuhyun sigh.

“Are you alright?” you asked him.

“Define alright,” he said, hyperventilating.

“Kyu? What’s wrong?” you asked.

“Kyuhyun? You were fine at the other rides,” Donghae said.

“Kyu, you’re damn pale!” You said.

He breathed deeply. “I honestly regret watching Final Destination last night…” he whispered.

You laughed. “You’re scared because of a movie?!”

“Accidents happen, Kye!” he gritted through his teeth.

You smiled and hold his hand. “Don’t worry. If that happens, I’ll be there with you,” you chuckled.

“Don’t joke like that!” he said.

“Kyu, really. What are the chances of that happening? I don’t think none of these people is dumb enough to drop a camera,” you said. “You’ll be fine.”
