Luhan Has a Theory...

You're Taken?

Jongdae stirred and sleepily opened his eyes. He couldn’t help the smile that took over his face when he realized that Minseok and he were snuggled up just the way you’d expect a couple to be. It kind of hurt to know that Minseok did this with no ual intentions, but Jongdae had long decided that he’d rather it then nothing, and if Minseok was touchy-feely, then so be it.

Looking at the clock, he saw it was 11:30, and decided that he should probably ring Tao and Kris and get them to pick him up. He was sure he’d have a lot of explaining to do, and even though he wasn’t sure how well he could, he was definitely a lot better off than the night previous. He slowly lifted his arms off Minseok’s waist, before gently lifting the other boy’s off his, and regretfully moved his head from its position on Minseok’s chest. He couldn’t stop himself from kissing him softly on the cheek, and definitely couldn't stop the giggle escaping his lips when Minseok made a little noise, rolling to the other side.

He crawled out of the bed, and silently made his way to the kitchen. There he saw Luhan at the stove cooking pancakes, whilst Sehun back-hugged him, resting his head on the Chinese’s shoulder. Jongdae couldn’t help but be thoroughly jealous despite just how adorable they looked - he knew if he and Minseok ever had a relationship it’d be nothing like Luhan’s and Sehun’s, but he knew he’d be just as happy as they were.

“Aww, Lulu-hyung and Sehunnie, you two are so cute,” he cooed.

Luhan just laughed, before facing Jongdae. Sehun turned and glared, before looking at his boyfriend and smiling softly. Yep, Jongdae was definitely jealous.

“You’re awake! Did you sleep okay?”

Jongdae grinned, “Yeah, I did,”

Luhan wriggled his eyebrows, “I wonder why that would be?”

Jongdae grew noticeably uncomfortable, shifting nervously. “Your spare bed is comfy...?”

“I saw you go into Minseok’s room, you liar,” Luhan raised his eyebrow now. “I know you didn’t sleep in that spare one,”

“Well, I, uh...” Jongdae began to blush.

Luhan laughed, the other realizing he was only teasing. “I don’t blame you- I would have done the same thing. Though judging by your reaction, it seems a little different to what it would’ve been like for me.”

Jongdae went even redder; to him it was, even if it actually wasn't. Luhan looked at him knowingly, and Jongdae bit his lip. He’d been caught red handed.

“So uh,” Sehun broke the silence, “Do you want breakfast?”

“Oh, that’d be nice, thanks,” Jongdae said as he grabbed his phone off the table, “You don’t mind if I just ring Tao first? I really should go home,”

“I can drive you, if you want?” Luhan said, and Jongdae shook his head. He had caused them enough trouble already, he thought.

“No, it’s alright - but thanks for the offer anyway.” he said, smiling.

The two nodded, and Jongdae dialled their home phone.

Kris answered. “Hello?”

“Hey Kris, it’s Jongdae.”

“Where the hell were you yesterday?”

Before he could answer, he heard a shout of “Who is it?” in the background, and Kris shouting back “It’s Jongdae!”, and all of a sudden he was met with a very frantic sounding Tao.

Jongdae! Why didn’t you come home yesterday? I was so worried all I got was a message from you saying you’d ring tomorrow do you know how scared I was?! Did you even see all the missed calls from me? I was going to have a fit!”

“Christy Tao, calm down.”

“You never use that many emojis in your messages, I had reason to be terrified!”

Jongdae laughed, figuring it must have been Luhan who sent it. “Calm down! It was Luhan who sent it.”

He could basically hear the click of Tao’s brain. “But you didn’t tell me why you were there!” he said instead, “I mean I knew Minseok wouldn’t be there because I heard you constantly complaining about him going out with Mihyun and I thought Sehun and Luhan would want their time alone,”

Jongdae sighed, “It’s a long story - I’ll explain when I get back, okay?”

“Fine,” Tao huffed, “Why'd you call anyway?”

“Can you pick me up?”

“First you have me worrying my off for you and now you’re asking me to pick you up?” Tao grumbled. “You’ve got a nerve on you.”

“I love you, Tao-Tao,” Jongdae sang, feeling Tao’s heart melt through the phone at the words.

“I’ll be there in 20 minutes, you little .”

Fifteen minutes later, the three boys were absolutely stuffed, and Luhan’s phone went off. Reading the text, his eyes widened and he looked at Jongdae. “Hey Jongdae, are you still interested in the date I was telling you about?”

Jongdae had totally forgotten about the date. He nodded back- of course he was.

“He asked if you were available tomorrow a few days ago and I totally forgot to ask and I just remembered, but if you’re not up to that it’s more than fair. Do you want me to ask him for another day?”

Jongdae shook his head. “No, that’s absolutely fine,” he said, smiling. He trusted Luhan’s judgement, and he figured it’d probably help take his mind off things. Plus, a date with an attractive guy is always a good thing.

Luhan looked surprised, but nodded back eagerly as his fingers tapped on his phone. “Great! He’ll pick you up from yours at one, lunch good?”

“Fantastic,” Jongdae smiled, and he couldn’t help but be excited. His eyes went to the doorframe as Minseok came out of his room, looking absolutely adorable with his bed-hair in his pyjamas. Jongdae felt his heart melt - he hoped that this date would help calm his feelings for Minseok, if not get rid of them, however.

Minseok eyed the plates and then Luhan.

Luhan sighed. “There’s more on the bench.”

He smiled before nearly skipping to the food. He hadn’t eaten since lunch the day before, and hungry Minseok was hungry.

There was a knock at the door, and Jongdae stood up. Luhan yelled out a “Come in!” and the door opened, Tao stepping inside.

Everyone greeted Tao, and Jongdae realized he was still wearing Minseok’s pyjamas. Minseok left the room, and came back with his clothes, which had all been washed (in the detergent which smelt like him, Jongdae noted).

“, I should change out of these,” he said, realizing his outfit was less than appropriate for outside use.

Minseok laughed, “Don’t worry - just bring them back later.”

Jongdae had to hide a silly grin. As dorky as they were he loved these pyjamas because they were special to Minseok, and he let him wear them. He nodded, before walking to the door. “Come on Tao, stop talking to Luhan. I wanna go home.”

Tao grumbled something about unappreciative kids, and Jongdae rolled his eyes because Tao was younger than him. However, he complied and they both walked towards the door. Surprising everyone, Jongdae turned and bowed a deep 90 degrees. “Thanks for all your help, seriously. I don’t know what I would have done.” He then looked at Minseok, almost shyly. “You especially... Thank you.”

Minseok looked stunned, and his cheeks went slightly pink.

Luhan noticed this, and tried to test a new theory he had formulated recently. “See you guys! Jongdae, good luck on your date tomorrow!”

Minseok’s eyes bulged... Date?

Jongdae waved as he followed Tao out the door, “Thanks Luhan, we’ll see how it goes,”

He waited until the door closed, and Minseok turned around to Luhan. “Date?” he asked, one eyebrow cocked.

Luhan smirked on the inside, remaining visibly nonchalant. “He’s a single man, and try finding gay men in a homophobic country. I set him up.”

“That’s true,” Minseok nodded as sick feeling settled in his stomach, one which he desperately tried to will away. “Hopefully it’ll go well then.”

Luhan smiled, he could see completely through Minseok. “I hope so too, he’s a great guy.”

Minseok nodded, Jongdae was great.
